I'm awaiting Bs rebound test results to come back from the lab. If they're good I think we can go home, so fx.
B hit his birth weight yesterday, but was back down a smidge after they weighed him early this morning. I swear - the ups and downs I'm feeling over my supply is such a roller coaster. I go from feeling great that he's clearly milkdrunk, to being so anxious when he's up and rooting again after a half hr. I know we'll get this down, but right now it feels like we're so inconsistent. Blah.

ellabee fx he passes and you can go home! Hitting birth weight is great!
On the nursing front, N is taking these long 2.5-3 hour naps during the day so I know she's eating plenty. But then she has a period from 10:30-midnight where she cluster feeds no matter what. She eats a ton and then poops and pees a bunch. It's all normal but makes it really hard to gauge success.

Good morning! I woke up with DH to get the toddler dressed for day care. They are out the door, and I ate a nice breakfast and am drinking hot coffee while the babe naps.
I have two really cool "to-do list" note pads. One is a big general ongoing list, and the other is daily. I share the general one with DH, and the daily list if for me when he goes back to work. I think it will help me, mentally, to check things off while on leave.
Today, my big goals are: 1) Organize my dresser so that I can fit my maternity leave comfies (leggings and nursing tops), and get rid of my regular bras and maternity work clothes. 2) Get DD's birth announcements out (they just arrived yesterday. I don't love them. She is MUCH cuter now than she was at 2 days!!!)
judyblume14 I love it! Having a list is a life saver for me. Even if it meant only I only got one thing done during those first few pp days it made me feel sane.
I woke up with crazy 1st day of period type cramps, then spotting when i went to the bathroom. It was thin/watery, not thick like a MP. Par for the course?
Meeting with my doula for lunch today, then bouncing on my ball while answering emails again sounds like my only plans today I think.

pibblemom - my OB told me to expect bleeding for 3-6 weeks PP. But that if it was more than like a light period, to call. Specifically, soaking through a pad in an hour.

@judybloom14 I love those to do lists.
E is sleeping so I may actually get to drink my tea hot this morning. It's supposed to be rainy and windy a nor'easter. I'm hoping I can get enough motivation to make a soup recipe i love. It's so easy too. I have no excuses.

We don't have to be anywhere today so W and I slept in. I was actually able to sleep in between nursing sessions last night until the nightly cluster feed started. We are gonna work on getting him into the RNP at night but we are co sleeping at the moment.

How does one cosleep with a newborn? I've just had the boppy in my lap to support my arms and cradling her. It's not exactly planned consleeping, but rather we both fall asleep nursing. I have no experience with cosleeping and feel like such a newb!
Very carefully. I did it with DS1 too for a little while when I was working nights. I lay him next to me and make sure that area is free of pillows and blankets.
My mom is eating all the crackers this morning. She is expecting us to forward all pictures we take of W to her. I'm contemplating taking a photo in the middle of a nursing session and sending it. She is one of those "BF is a private thing" type people and NIP makes her nervous.
tex I was just coming to post about cracker eating moms! Haha.
I know my mom eats crackers for me so most of what she says is automatically offensive but she just went over her schedule and told me that they need to have the baby come a week from Wednesday. What the hell lady. It's not about you. Also telling someone to give birth AFTER their due date has to be on the top five things to never say to a pregnant lady. Right up there with how fat you are....which she actually said to me last time when she arrived for my baby shower.
I'm this close to not telling her when I go into labor.
Omg lakegirl! If you could schedule your naturally induced labor for after your due date for my own convenience, that would be greeeat.... 😂😂😂😳
Ridiculous. And I would totally understand why you wouldn't tell her when you went in. I have an aunt that won't know because she'll try forcing her way into the delivery room
Hmmmm pibblemom. I guess the question is how much? Keep an eye on it and good thing you're meeting with your doula just in case!
I keep thinking that my water has broken but it's just more mucus but it's getting thinner too. But not like when my water broke last time. I sent mh a picture of the blob fish to describe my woes. He has not responded so I don't think he appreciated it.

Hi ladies, sorry I dropped off for a few days. It was mh's stretch of days off and I didn't find a lot of time to log on. Thanks for thinking of me, sorry if I worried anyone. I've decided ds has something against me, he sleeps like crap the nights mh works but give 3-4 hour stretches when mh is here to help. The only thing that is different is that mh is a much better swaddler than I am. Anyway, off to read, I hope everyone had a good weekend.

lakegirl, my water break with DD2 was very different than with DD1.
DD1 was a gush, and obvious what had happened. DD2 was a teeny leak in the morning. Than nothing until 12 hours later with a few more tiny leaks while exercising. Not obvious.

Haven't read yet will go back and do so while I drink my tea. Just wanted to say good morning! We just returned from pedi and B gained weight! Not much, just an ounce since Friday but dr was happy and so were we.
