Took LO to the doctor to get his checked. She was surprised that it wasn't healed after two weeks. He didn't scratch the cornea so she wasn't concerned about vision problems. She gave me a sample (yay free!) of eye drops to use for a week. Hopefully this clears it up.
The little nipples that come with formula- they fit on medela bottles.
fem if you try them, make the hole bigger with a toothpick because it's super slow flow. I'm hoping it's a gateway bottle and he takes a regular one soon.

Lol at gateway bottle. I thought we had one but can't find it. I might go get one if the next two days at daycare don't go well.

LOL at gateway bottle, but I hope things get better becole.
So MH said tonight he thinks DS1 has flu. I was like, "Ok. So what? Should I call the pediatrician and get him some TamiFlu?" And he just shrugged. He's high risk for complications because asthma (we've already used his rescue Albuterol 4x today), plus the baby at home recovering from RSV...should I call and have him swabbed and get the TamiFlu? It's only effective if started in the first 48 hours...
I normally would not rush to fhe pedi for 24 hours of a fever and flu-like symptoms....

Every Babe is different but it is a totally different texture. I had a bunch of samples from the hospital and my OB. I bet your pedi has them for free as samples as well.

Hey ladies! I don't post as much on TCF because I'm still trying to find a work/home balance and I rarely have me time, but I'm slowly figuring it out. Hope you gals don't mind if I pop in from time to time when I can.
I'm completely with you all on the Trump issue... I have a lot of conservative friends and the pure Hate that is being spewed on their feed is hard to bear... I think Trump is a disgusting human being and anyone that thinks that he will act in anyone's best interests but his own is deluding themselves.
I had a friend say about the march that now that all these women are done throwing their "tantrum" that they need to go home because dishes and laundry are piling up at home.... I wanted to punch him clear in the teeth... I want to "go high" but it's so hard in this sea of misogynistic idiots...
Sorry that so many of you are sick. We just got over the stomach bug here and I still have some throat congestion that won't quit... F cold and flu season.....
britta if you think it's likely he has the flu- high fever, aches, lethargy, cold symptoms, glassy eyes, then I would because of his asthma.
+1 kid with asthma is one of the reasons why tamiflu is important.
Thanks, I guess I'll start with calling and see what the nurse says. When he had flu 2 years ago, we only got 2 or 3 doses of TamiFlu in him. His pedi still thought that was better than nothing, but we did still end up with a secondary bacterial pneumonia.
And thank you sanibel21. It came on pretty suddenly, which is pretty classic flu. So Sunday in the wee morning hours, he woke up crying for me saying his forehead hurt. He went back to bed and then seemed normal when he got up for the day, though did tell MH his forehead still hurt. After he woke from his nap that day he complained that his legs ached and he had shaking chills and a temp of 102.4 (axillary, not adding a degree). Yesterday he ran a 101-102 temp, complained of throat pain, runny nose, cough, decreased appetite. He is trying so hard to be not sick, so he'll start to play and then you'll hear him sigh and he gets up on the couch to lay back down. When he had flu 2 years ago, he was MISERABLE. All he would do is lay on me. But maybe that's just the difference in a 3 year old and a 15 month old?
becole - that's pretty good! H was there from 8-5:30 his first day and only took 8 oz - he's now taking 16! Your little guy will get the hang of it. How did the night go?

He fell asleep at 7:15, got up at 1am and 5:45. He's still sleeping at 8. I fed him a ton when I got home and before he went. I hope I can preserve sleep.

Sleep has been a disaster for us the last two nights. The past 5-6 nights before he was doing 7:30 - 3/3:30, nurse, and back to bed until I woke him at 6am to nurse before I leave for work. He was up at 9:30 pm, nursed back to bed, 1:30 am, nursed back to bed, 3:30 am, nursed and 5:30 am and nursed. He is SO CLOSE to rolling over - he gets on his side and puts his face on the carpet, but won't kick his hip over. I'm wondering if its the new skill learning? Otherwise, I'm at a loss. We're not even 4 months yet so I'm dreading that sleep period too.
He's so back and forth still. One night this weekend he slept 7:30-6 straight through. Other nights he's up once, some twice. He's so good at "sleeping in". I'm going to try to go in later to work and adjust my schedule a bit.
