I'll go first!
My induction is NEXT week, NEXT week! I can't believe it. The idea of induction makes me incredibly nervous and anxious, but I am trying to stay calm. I can't believe it's happening this soon.
I'm very scared to not bond with this child. I have been very excited and happy to be pregnant, but I haven't been rubbing my belly, reading books, or playing music for the baby. I've kind of just been living my life while pregnant. I hope that I bond with the baby quickly, and that the apprehensions I am having disappear. I feel awful for saying that out loud.
Julie, my best friend, and my sister spent the whole day yesterday deep cleaning the house. The pulled out the stove, the fridge, cleaned carpets, dusted wood trim, scrubbed bathrooms, and I mean DEEP cleaned the house. We are ready for this baby. We have so much gear, so much stuff, and couldn't be more prepared in that sense.
I've been having Braxton Hicks more and more consistently. Sometimes they are even a bit painful. I've also been noticing the not so pleasant things about the 3rd tri - extra extra moisture down there so I am back to wearing panty liners.
The baby had the hiccups for 20 minutes last night. It was cute at first and then I couldn't focus on anything else and got super annoyed as it was 1a in the morning. I got up and walked the hospital hall and it seemed to change things.
My original OB dr is a doll. I'm not under her direct care anymore as I am considered high risk now, but she is truly wonderful. At least once or twice a week she walks over from the clinic or L&D to stop by my room in mother and baby. She answers any questions I have and just chit chats with me. She is supposed to leave on a stay-cation during my delivery but she put a huge post it note on my file that says to call her and she will come in for actual delivery. QOTW - two

rikkiandjulie you're almost there!! I can imagine having a million different emotions leading up to the DD. Try to be kind to yourself! And GL next week! Does your hospital induce very slowly? I just learned this is a thing that there can be different paces giving the medicine making the effects very different.

I'm dealing with what I think is SPD and it is freaking the crap out of me. Of course I've read horror stories of people not being able to drive, walk, or give birth vaginally which do not help at all. Fortunately I got a PT evaluation for tomorrow so hopefully she'll have more answers for me than anyone else has so far.
We're desperately trying to finish our registry and that is stressing me out but other than that I'm doing ok.
QOTW: Definitely at least 2. (DW's eggs are ready and waiting to become kid2.)

You're going to have an outside baby next week rikkiandjulie, That's amazing! I bet you'll fall instantly in love, that what so many people say. Since pregnancy makes me so sick I know how you feel though. I'm a little resentful that I had to deal with IF and all the vomiting when this was what I wanted so much!
rosesquared, Oh man, picking out furniture and stuff makes it so real! PB can be so hit or miss, when it comes to kid stuff I definitely think BRU has it down.
AFM, I'm still here, still sick. I started Diclegis and so far no vomiting today, but I'm going to be extra exhausted for a few days. Lol. All I can do at this point is laugh.
QOTW: When we had 4 embryos I was all, "let's have 4!" Then I actually got pregnant and I can barely think about doing this again, but I will. That's it though, 2 kids only.

rikkiandjulie, I know we don't go here but I wanted to share. Someone gave us the book, The Sh!t No One Tells You A Guide to Surviving Your Baby's First Year when M was born. So much of it was spot on and I wished I had read it earlier. There's a whole section talking about for some it takes some time to fall in love with your baby but that doesn't mean anything is wrong with you. Those first few days/weeks everything is new and your hormones are still regulating. We'll be thinking of you next week!

rikkiandjulie, I am so excited for you!!!! And don't worry, I haven't been talking, reading books or things like that either. I'm sure he hears me enough during the day as is... Jo talks to him though. I do rub my belly, but it's most because it makes my skin feel better. lol I worry a little about the bonding, but I'm sure it will all come together when he arrives. cetcar, I ordered that book on Amazon yesterday!
Things have been moving along at this end. We are now into the 28th week.. I can't believe it! I'm super excited and super scared about child birth.. I'm sure everyone has the same fears I'm having. The pain, the possibility of tearing from one end to the other... holy moly... I am worried! The nursery is pretty much ready, which is awesome. Just need to get things on the walls and the clothes we have washed and get that ready. Oh, and tomorrow we are headed for a 3D ultrasound. I am so excited to see him!! Plus after I need to do some bra shopping cause the girls are not fitting into anything I own anymore. Grrrr
I have come to learn a lot of people don't know what they are looking at when they see the 3D ultrasound.. lol A friend of ours thought it was peanut butter... granted, he is pretty yellow/brown... and there is more in the pic than just his face, so I can see how it would be hard.
Also, we decided on a name today!!!!!! So excited. We aren't telling anyone cause the last name we wanted was stollen... Lol So this one is being locked away till he is born. 😛
