I would not have wanted to be born with all my adult teeth because I LOVED the tooth fairy. I used to write her letters about my life and put them under my pillow.
My random of the day: sleep deprivation at Casa Boca has reached record levels. H just went out to take the dog for a walk... but he forgot the dog. HAHAHHA

Hi Ladies! I need to remember to play here more. Not much going on in the snacks house, we are approaching the end of January which means I have one more month of maternity leave (going back March 1). It terrifies me.

Hugs! Enjoy your last month. It's an adjustment, but it will become your new normal. And I know I've said it a million times, but going back to work really did help my sanity and make me appreciate my time with my kids more (even when they're grumptastic) than when I was on leave.

I am hoping to have this situation as well! I do welcome the break, honestly. I just hope that we like the daycare (obviously I toured it, but that's different than having your kid there), since there weren't many great options in my area. That didn't cost a bazillion dollars, that is.

We wound up loving our second pick for daycare (first pick decided to become a preschool, so no infants). They were one of the cheapest in the area and don't offer baby sign language or Spanish (we're totally ok without those), but the biggest thing is that they're safe and happy while we're at work.

I picked the middle option, in terms of price. Our twins will be missing out on sign language, yoga and Spanish. Boohoo.
Hiii I thought I should start playing here. I am almost 17 weeks with b/g twins. I keep thinking I should start preparing for the new additions, but it doesn't feel real yet.

Whaaaat! Clearly I need to up my PAIF stalking because I totally didn't realize you were having twins! Congratulations!
S is getting his molars and sleep is super shitty because of it. We've been giving Tylenol at night bc between teeth and this never ending cough I feel like they need it. Sunday night we gave S motrin for the first time and he slept 8 hours before his first wakeup (normally only get 4) so we have them both motrin last night in hopes we might all get a decent stretch of sleep.
Yeah.
S was up at 930, 11, 12 2, and 4. L was up at 11 and slept in our bed from 12 till 530 (which I think is way more restful for him than me). So tired.

richzep, Do you have the City Select with the glider board? I was talking to @feegan last night about selling my City Mini and getting either the glider or a slightly beefed up umbrella stroller for my 19 month old and said you might have some wisdom to offer.

Congrats @katerli!
I do have the glider board with the city select. I like it a lot. It's super compact and easy to use. My issue is that my son won't go on it. He prefers to walk next to me. It's super annoying. I got it when he was 20 months when the twins were born. I think he was too young then and now that he's 3, I haven't given him enough practice on it. I definitely should because it's super useful when I'm out and about by myself.

Helllooooo friends. I've been so MIA. Work is insane (I'm loving it, but it's non stop. Any Hamilheads in here btw?). I honestly don't know how I'm keeping my head above water, being a mom of 3 and a manager and a wife and a daughter and oy it's exhausting! I miss venting and hearing how you're all doing. Just wanted to pop in and say hi and send love.

The age is also what I'm struggling with, she'll basically be the same age as your son when they arrive. I think she would enjoy it, but a toddler that isn't strapped in something makes me tired and anxious lol
Feeling pretty overwhelmed the last couple days, I hope its just the teething babies. This morning it felt like one was always crying or upset, or just wanting me. And I just cant. Idk, I hope it is just a passing thing. But they are 6 months today and I can not belive it.

During the first 6 months, he sat in the stroller and I carried the smaller baby in my carrier. There was no other way around it.
hollyberry, sorry you're feeling overwhelmed. I know that feeling when they have a grumpy day and it seems like there is never a minute without crying or being needed. It's hard. Deep breaths! You'll all get through it one step at a time, and we're here for you!

Thanks pbandj714, luckily my neighbour came down to vist. It was so nice to have company for a hit and of course the babies are always good when they are both being held. Wish I could just have a nice long hot shower, but our shower sucks so its always a fast one since there is not alot of hot water.

So we've been working on putting E and A down in their beds awake for bedtime. We really aren't into a true CIO sleep training so we were doing 5 minute checks where I'd pick them up, calm them down, then lay them back in the crib. They took to it so well. After about a week, they went down tonight without a single cry! BUT, we'll see how the rest of the night goes.
They've always slept well from 6pm-11pm/midnight then all hell breaks loose and they're up a million times. What do I do for those wakeups? If I dream feed around 1030/11 they sleep until 2ish but then it's the same thing...lots of wakeups until they're up around 7/730am. I can handle 2 wakeups but the 6 or so they're each giving me is slowly killing me.
Edit: a mom on my BMB suggested this blogpost. www.preciouslittlesleep.com/when-baby-sleep-training-doesnt-work/ The only thing on there that we do/don't do is nurse right before bed. So I'm going to try moving their nursing session to at least 20 mins before bed and see if it makes a difference. Hopefully it's magic.

Thank you for sharing this. This is exactly the step we're on and I was thinking about making this type of change, but reading it makes me much more confident. We're starting tonight (yikes!)
@late61487 Good luck! I'm going to start tonight by moving their feed until at least 20 mins before bed so they stop associating eat=sleep. Hopefully we both have good nights sleep soon!
I am sure this has been covered many times, but does anyone have any recommendations for dealing with back pain. I am only 22 weeks and by the end of the day I am in so much pain. I am thinking it will be a long couple of months if I don't figure something out.
