I know that feeling! I'd almost rather have a deadline right now. We're in a limbo because we haven't officially started the project so we can't get time with our business experts to do any real work. It's all clean-up stuff.
If I had the staffing I would have called in today but tomorrow might be a good day.
Hiiiii. I'm also in a bit of a fog today. We had a lovely weekend at a resort about an hour away. Spent Friday in the spa, and went to a march on Saturday. H was nervous, but it was very peaceful. I wish we were back at the spa.
hpnegirl, good luck! I took a unison last night and it wasn't super helpful.
@katerli - Oh no, sorry! I keep gagging every few mornings when brushing my teeth and today it went into dry heaves. I thought it was supposed to stop!

Ugh would changing toothpastes help you? The thought of a glob of toothpaste in my mouth is making me gag just thinking of it
I'm here! I'm doing my own little cost analysis of diapers. Since it's looking like we're going to have 2 in diapers at the same time (DD isn't really taking to potty training yet), H wants to go with a cheaper diaper. So far, my analysis is going to make him unhappy. It's showing me that the Pampers Swaddlers that I've loved so much for newborns and infants are a cheaper option via Amazon Subscribe and Save than Up and Up brand diapers.
I've been doing the same price checking. So far the best deal I've found is pampers swaddlers on subscribe and save. They're like $15 cheaper for a huge box than target brand. I added a box to our subscribe list for next month. Hopefully the girls like them!

It's not the taste, it's the feeling? I'm not sure how to describe it. I've always had a more sensitive gag reflex than most and it's just been so much worse. I'm dreading going to the dentist on Thursday.

So we're doing a photo session this weekend. It'll be our very last one as a family of 3 (all the feels). It will also be a way for me to get a couple of maternity pics. I'm going to do some shopping on my lunch break to see if I can get some outfit inspiration.
I called my MWs to see if there's anything besides Benadryl or unisom I can take to sleep. I'm so tired and need sleep. This has been going on for 3-4 weeks now and not getting better
That's awful. I'm getting tired at 8pm but not falling asleep until midnight but I am sleeping.
Last night was the worst so far...
Took Benadryl before 8pm
Fell asleep around 9:30p. Woke at 12am
Fell back to sleep around 1am, woke at 2am
Took half a unisom at 2:30am, fell asleep after 3am, up at 5am.
In between all that, in each segment, I woke up at least once... those were just the times I saw the clock.
Awful. I think overall it was about 4 hours of sleep. I've been like this for weeks, took. It's not manageable with a toddler and having to work full time

Pampers are pretty popular. I'm in the minority, I think, because DS hated them the moment he peed for some reason (we used disposables until his stump fell off) so we use huggies when in disposables
Bachelor tonight! Also sorry you are having daily BH. I had some last night and they were not fun.
Ok, real talk: what are these BH feeling like? I'm 35+2 with twins and I have an occasional tightening in my lower pelvis but it's only when I'm sitting (so it usually makes me think it's baby movement that's just extra pressurized because I'm sitting?)
Also, I'm having cramps and back discomfort. Gas or not? And, I officially have a hemorrhoid. I won't tell you that I got concerned it was a tick and so I spent 10 minutes taking pictures of my literal asshole last night so I could visualize it. It was that or wake DH up to look...and we have already crossed so many boundaries between IF treatment and pregnancy, that it seems we should leave visualization of my bumhole for hemorrhoid as something sacred.
For me it usually happens when I stand up from sitting or when I straighten up from being bent over for a while. It feels like a tightening sensation. Not painful but like I'm wearing a belt cinched way too tight. Mine happen both low in my pelvis and right at belly button level. With The higher ones my belly actually feels harder to the touch. They do not happen for me often, mostly days in being way more active than usual.

Exciting! I'm locking down our maternity/baby photographer today.
I think H made a planning mistake. He's running a half-marathon in May. Made a hotel reservation months ago. He just forwarded the confirmation and he made it for the night OF the race instead of the night BEFORE. The race starts at 7:30am. We live 2+ hours away. Pretty sure he meant to make it for the night before. Waiting to hear back from him now.
He's not good when it comes to planning and logistics. He realized the day before the flight to one of his interviews that the flight reservation was reversed - originated in his destination. He fixed it but at a cost since tickets were expensive at that point.
This is why I usually do all the planning and booking of any reservations of any kind.
@xamountofwords - Sorry your H hash been so annoying. I wonder if he's nervous/anxious and this is how it's coming out? Not that it excuses his behavior. Definitely needs to get in line.
I don't know what to do. My dd went to a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese last weekend (not this past Saturday, the one before). We had to leave early because of a school function (most other kids left early for the same thing). I ran out without saying thanks or goodbye to the mom because I was late leaving. I meant to send an email saying thank you, but I forgot. Should I send one now even though it's over a week later? Or should I just leave it?
I'm in the better-late-than-never camp for thank you notes, as long as you're within a month of the event/holiday/whatever you're thanking them for.
Today I'm also getting the tightening feeling when going from sitting for a long time to standing up. I'm also not sitting very straight (need to remember good posture!). Definitely getting tighter in there in general!

Just had a nice conversation with my boss about getting me a laptop so I can start working from home. I'm starting to get into the very uncomfortable all the time phase. I'm happy with how accomadating my work has been with everything. But eventually I have to confront them about giving me a place to pump when I come back. I refuse to pump in the bathroom. But there's literally no other private place here (damn open concept office space).

Are we married to the same person? I always wonder how my magnificent H functioned before me.

I'm dreading having that conversation, too. I wouldn't mind pumping in our bathroom (it's a large, single-stall one) but we only have that one bathroom, aside from the gross one in the hall that no one cleans, so that would be rather inconvenient for everyone else. I'm not sure what the solution would be...
PepperPottsJ - Usually I don't mind being the one who makes all the plans, but for the couple random times he handles it I wish he could get it right!
Confirmed: He booked the wrong night. Was not able to move to the previous night because it's all booked now. He thanked me for moving quickly this morning and booking an alternate hotel for the correct night.

The only place at my work I can think of (short of them building me a new room) is the executive conference room upstairs. They'd have to put blinds on the windows and a lock on the door. But that seems doable right? I couldn't pump in the bathroom because it's multiple stalls and no conveniently placed electrical outlet. And that's just gross. But I'm putting off that convo for now so I'm not demanding too much at once.

Are your businesses big enough to meet the requirements for pumping rooms (lockable door, not a bathroom)? If so, I would set up time with HR and start by asking them where to pump, and if they don't have an answer, remind them of the law.
If they don't fall under the law (<50 employees, I believe?), I would maybe nicely tell them the reasoning behind what the law requires and ask if they can accommodate.
I'm going to have to have the same conversations with whatever client I'm at when I come back from leave. It's going to be tricky since I'm not technically their employee, but am a hired contractor, so they should accommodate.

Good luck!
We do have greater than 50 employees. So I'm hopeful it'll just be a friendly conversation. The problem is just there is literally no where in this office that isn't open to another room or all glass walls. I'm sure they'll accommodate but it will take some pestering on my part. They are desperate for me to come back to work after my leave so I'm sure they'll be happy to figure something out. I just have a feeling they're going to suggest the bathroom. But I feel really yucky about that. Like "hey kids here's your boob juice I pumped while sitting on a toilet..."
mustloveerica, that seems totally doable. Is the room not used very often?
marshian, I work for a tiny office so they are not required. I'm sure that they will try and accommodate, I just wish there was a relatively simple solution that I could ask of them.
