How old is LO? 4 months
How is breastfeeding going? Good. The right side pain has gotten better again so I'm just making sure to not let him comfort nurse too much on that side. Seems to be better when I help the nipple stick out a bit more before latching him on so I'll need to remember to always do that.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? So far so good. I had my lowest producing pumping day so far this past Friday, but I didn't do a very good job with my water intake while working from home Wednesday & Thursday. Even with the lower output he napped so much Friday after getting his 4 month shots Thursday that I still pumped more than he drank while at work.
How are nights? They go back and forth between not so good, ok, and good. I know even the not so good nights could be worse so I won't complain. Hoping he's coming out of his 4 month regression though so we can have more ok and good nights.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Guess not. He's been gnawing on his hands a lot and drooling, but his pediatrician said there was no sign of teeth coming at his appointment. I realize babies can feel the effects early some times, but for now I'm going to assume he's not teething.
Questions/AW/Rant? What size, and how many bottles do you usually leave your LO while you're gone? I've been leaving a mix of 3-4oz bottles, but I'm wondering if I should leave all 3oz bottles with some 1-1.5oz ones too in case he needs more than the 3oz at a feeding. Usually he will take a 4oz bottle, but he didn't finish one Friday and half an ounce ended up getting dumped.
GTKY: Since the teams are now set, do you care who wins the Super Bowl? GO PATRIOTS!!!!
How is breastfeeding going? Going pretty well. He's a pretty efficient nurser and gaining lots of wait. His latch has gotten to be a little more painful recently. I'n not sure if I might be about to get AF back and my nipples are just sensitive, or if his latch has gotten sloppy.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I went back to work and then got laid off. Right now, I'm keeping both kids in daycare so that I can concentrate on my job search. I'm struggling to get into a good pumping routine at home. He's been eating more at daycare, and I really need to pump 3 times to get enough milk most days, but I feel like I am constantly pumping.
How are nights? Great, knock on wood. Most nights he's only up once and will give me an 8 hour stretch.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Lots of hand gnawing, but I don't think any teeth are coming soon.
GTKY: Since the teams are now set, do you care who wins the Super Bowl? I'm cheering for the Patriots. I used to live in Boston for a few years. I want to dislike the Patriots because I think Bill Belichick is sketchy, but Tom Brady and the whole team are so consistently good that I can't help but admire them.
LadyNymeria, I had been leaving four 3 oz bottles, but they recently asked me to go up to 4 oz since he would finish and still act hungry. I went up to 3.5 oz for now, and we'll see how that goes. We're still trying to get the timing of bottles down. Sometimes he'll eat three and sometimes he'll eat four. It depends on how much he naps, and right now he's not napping very well there.

I never even considered doing 3.5oz! That could be a good mid-point.

This is the first time I've checked in here, but I do have some questions for you ladies. :-)
How old is LO? 14 weeks (turned 3 months on the 14th)
How is breastfeeding going?Pretty well. He only eats from one side and is getting full. I've dealt with cracked nipples and soreness in the past, but it's getting better.
How is pumping/work (if you are back to work)? I just went back to work on Friday. I pumped more than enough for him to have today, so I hope that will continue.
How are nights? we had 3 straight nights of 7-8 hour stretches.
Any teeth/signs of teething? He has recently discovered his hands and loves shoving them in his mouth and sucking on them. It's hilarious.
Questions/AW/Rant? How can I get him to stay latched? He'll latch well and then pop on an off multiple times. It's not just at letdown, either. It doesn't seem to matter if we're in a quiet or loud room, light or dark.
Also an AW for me - BFing did not work out with my older son. I ended up EPing for him until he turned 1. I am so proud of myself for making it this far with this one, and really hope to make it to a year.

LadyNymeria, I made up 3.5 ounce bottles for G today for day care. That was what MH gave him on Friday when he was home with the boys, and it worked out fine. I also sent a bag of frozen milk just in case they need it. I am not anticipating needing to send much more than that, but I'll see what the teachers say today when I pick him up.
How is breastfeeding going? Good. My nipples have been feeling really irritated during MOTN feedings lately so I need to find my gel pads and nipple cream.
How are nights? Ok.
Any teeth/signs of teething? Nope.
I'm trying to decide if I should try to bring g my frozen breast milk with me when I move this week. We will be close to family so it would be nice to have milk so they could watch her, but it's from before I cut out dairy and I think it has high lipase so I don't know that I would actually use it.
My aunt was annoying me this weekend. She asked me how long I was going to breastfeed for and I said a year. Then she asked why I was doing it so long. I told her you have to give babies breastmilk or formula until they are a year old. And then it was - my kids had formula and they turned out fine. Sigh. And that was after being told frequently that I need to hold my baby less and let her cry more, she needs to learn to be independent.
GTKY: Since the teams are now set, do you care who wins the Super Bowl? I don't even know when it is or who is playing.
