Today was rough! I think LOs top 2 teeth are finally coming through I think I can see them (she doesn't want to let me look, so not 100%). LOs nose was running like crazy, she doesn't seem sick but we skipped play group JIC. Hopefully not, my mom gets in Thurs.
LO started DC today. I was a bit emotional. But overall he did well. The teacher said he cried a bit in the morning but it's normal for the first day. Work has been busy because we're are doing grad checks for spring semester.

Sorry I haven't been around much, work and life have been kicking my ass. I'll be around today since I woke up at 5am puking. Dh had what I thought was food poisoning yesterday, but no, its a stomach bug. I'm terrified the baby will get it next. Ugh!

rachelilly23 I'm sorry your birthday sucked. Hopefully today will be better. Happy belated though!
SheilaTheTank Sorry you're up with the bug. We all had it not too long ago and I think V had it the shortest. FX K doesn't get it or gets over it quickly!
So, curious what others are doing. We're going to start easing into whole milk (mixing it in with his formula bottles). But before we do, I'm not sure how to handle this. Brady still wakes usually once during the night and has a full bottle. Once we're on full whole milk, what do we do for those wakeups? I know the most logical answer is to stop feeding him altogether at night right now, but that just isn't working for him yet. But we also don't want to start giving him milk at night as it's bad for their teeth. I feel like I should know what to do here, but our daughter wasn't waking at night at this age (or even months before this! She was sttn at like 2 months old).

I'd give the milk if you aren't ready to cut out the feeding. My oldest would have milk every once in a while in the motn for a couple years. I don't see how it would be any worse on his teeth. I think it's more do not give him the bottle of milk to have in his crib for the night to drink whenever he wants.
You could also try watering down the milk to wean him off it at night. Or just offer water in a bottle?

I've tried watering down or less ounces with his formula already and it just extends his wakeup time even more...and then he usually ends up waking up an additional time because of it.

What a tricky boy. If you're really concerned about milk in the bottle at night, what about those single packs of formula? Use that for motn. I have no idea if those are very expensive?

My thought is that he really is hungry...he sucks it down like he's starving. He has been sleeping a longer stretch before eating so I don't feel bad giving him the full bottle. I just wonder how it's going to change when he's fully on whole milk and no more formula at all. I swear this boy makes me feel totally new with all of this haha.

I've been wondering this too. Maybe a toddler formulas until he STTN consistently? I don't know.

In a whirlwind of events over the last two days I have had a wonderful opportunity fall into my lap. Am I crazy to take my dream job if it is only guaranteed for a 6 month contract?

Do it. You wanted to leave your job and possibly go back to school anyway, right? Now is the time to take a leap! If it doesn't work out for longer, you have the excuse to move forward with that plan.
So I have been excited for the CW show Riverdale since I heard it was coming out last summer, we watched like 15 min. I am so disappointed, it was unwatchable. I don't have high standards either I watch like a bunch of CW and Freeform shows.
Just got the schedule for everything happening on Thursday. We have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. We live an hour away so we'll have to get up around 3:30. Next week might kill me.
Oh! My BFF from college is getting married Dec 30th. She lived in Hawaii and the wedding is going to be in Waikiki. I'm so hoping we can pull it off and go.
