penguin129 I keep telling myself I am going to call the doctor about it and then I keep....not. I don't even know what my excuse is anymore. I'm still bleeding today (day 29). It's SO light now...and there are whole parts of the day where there is nothing at all, so it seems like it's going away. I wonder if it has anything to do with my hemorrhaging at birth? I have no idea. I need to call and stop making excuses.
Also, mailed the fitbit yesterday! It said it should be there by Friday.
I can't remember if you were one of us who got mirena? That can cause a really long bleeding period after insertion.
penguin129, I'm so glad the appointments went well. I was told anxiety and depression are closely related, too. I went to therapy as a teenager for depression, but the more I think about things from my childhood, I really think I've had anxiety for most of my life. I think what you are doing for Ronald McDonald House is so awesome. hikingmama222, sorry for losing the bonus, but the raise and extra vacation time is great.
I guess G took a 3 hour nap this morning, and N has sat on the potty a few times. Things have turned around in the Potato house since I left, I guess.
Thank You! They really appreciate it too. I know it will help the mom's a lot.
Thanks for all the luck ladies! The appointment went great. DS did awesome and they got all the images they need. We got the results, and unfortunately he has elevated eye pressure and needs an MRI to find out why. I'm now a nervous wreck and trying my hardest to stay away from Google. Ugh.
Baby took bigger bottles today with no crying!! This might actually work and without too much disruption. He's wanting to go to bed really early. Is that normal when starting daycare?
fem how's bottles going over there? Did you try the formula nurser nipple?

How is he napping at daycare? It can take awhile for babies to settle into napping at daycare where there is more activity and noise. If he's not napped as well at daycare, I would expect an earlier bedtime.

I'm glad it's going well, gives me hope. I think being tired is normal when starting daycare. Did they let you know how he napped?
Still no luck here but I honestly feel like daycare has stopped trying that hard. When I picked her up yesterday they didn't even try her afternoon bottle because they didn't want to ' just waste it'.
I'm off tomorrow and am picking up a formula nipple from our pediatrician. I'm also trying to constantly offer a pacifier so she gets used to having something plastic in her mouth.
britta feeling the need to check in with you about where you guys are with formula feeding right now.
It's a mess since he's been sick, but I think we're falling back into normal.
In a midnight to midnight period, he eats 4-6oz every 3ish hours while awake. He usually stretches 4 hours once during his long nap. So, maybe 42oz/day on the high side, but probably more like 35oz/day. Somewhere in there.
I need to figure out how to push his bedtime back. He's wanting to be done for the day after his 7-7:30p feeding and then getting up at 2-3a. It's killing me. I looked at DS1's 1st year calendar today and he was doing the same at this age, except bed 8-9p and sleeping till 4-5a.
ETA: He turned 3 months on the 14th and was 14lbs 3oz at the doctor last Thursday.
adouces06 I'm glad it went well!! I'm sorry you have new things to worry about now though. becole yes! Awesome day. + whatever to how does he nap at daycare? DS1 didn't nap at daycare until he was a toddler so he was done-zo when he got home at night. It wasn't uncommon for bedtime to be 6:30-7ish in those days.

becole D2 is taking relatively short naps at daycare and is down for the night at 7ish with whatever nighttime wake ups she chooses but I'm having to wake her up at 7 to get ready for daycare.

I would send like 1 ounce bottles and insist they try every hour. That's what it looked like all week and then he started finishing it and crying for more so we slowly increased it. He's also a little weird latching and unlatching on the breast now. He's one of those Babies that just isn't going to switch back and forth easily. I'm glad I didn't give him supplements now.
He sleeps like an hour or 45 minutes at daycare. Today he slept like 2.5 hours on my car trip and then an hour then 40 min at daycare. Tonight he fell asleep at 6 but woke up at 7. But the last nights he was out until 2-3am from going to sleep at 7pm. Before daycare he was 8:30pm.

According to my Fitbit, I slept a total of 2 hours and 6 minutes last night. I genuinely slept better when pregnant and when I had a newborn. Stupid baby ear infection and congestion, GO AWAY!!!

I feel you. At the height of the RSV, DS2 was waking as frequently as his first night of life. Sending restful and healing thoughts your way.

WOW. Getting 27 ozs into DD is a good day for us. She cant drink more than 4oz in a go and eats every 3-4 hours round the clock.

My math is off I think... So today: 0200, 0600, 0900, 1300, 1600, 1900. Assuming he ate 6oz at each feeding (he didn't, but I can't remember which ones he at less at) that's 36oz. So, ksyknelvr73 36oz at the high end. My bad, I guess I added a feeding in there somehow. But yeah, I guess I have big boys?? They seem to fall at or just above the 50th percentile for weight though... ETA: Where are you at ksyknelvr73?

We're still doing half and half and I read somewhere (so take with a grain of salt) that BM gets fattier as babies get older so they don't really drink more. DS drank about 6 oz at this point and he topped out around 40oz/day. He was only ever in the 20th for weight but like 90th for height for a while.
I have to brag on DS1 a minute. Serious AW ahead. He was coloring and playing with stickers while we were making dinner. The stickers were solar system stickers. This is the conversation that ensued...
DS1: This is Saturn, Ma? H (without looking up): Does it have rings? Saturn has rings buddy. DS1: Yes I know dad! Me (looking at his paper): Yes that's Saturn. Very good. ::::DS1 points at another planet:::: DS1: Is this Jupiter? H shoots me a "Is he serious?" glance. Me: PBS man. Actually, that's Earth buddy. I don't think there's a Jupiter sticker on this one. Jupiter has the red spot, remember? DS1: Yes I do. H (bewildered) Me: Ready, Jet, Go. I guess he's picking up more than I thought. 🤷🏼♀️

That sounds about right britta. I forgot that with your DS being sick that was probably affecting his eating.
We are giving 6 oz bottles over here as well. After just 3 days in daycare, they told me she was chugging her bottles and getting hungry before 3 hours had passed (we were doing 5 oz) so I increased to 6 and she has been making it 3 hours now.
The only issue is that she is sleeping so long at night that most nights we end up giving her a "top-off" bottle before bed. I wake her up usually around 6:30am and she goes to bed at 8. So she has her five bottles with 6 oz throughout the day then we typically give her a 3 or 4 oz bottle right before bed. So I think she is anywhere from 30-34oz daily.
ksyknelvr73 we were trying to do a top off/dream feed with him before we go to bed (between 9 and 10) and it ended up biting us in the butt. He'd drink it no problem, but then wanted to be up for another 1.5 hours and somehow still wanted to get up around 3.
He hasn't fully settled into a schedule though. That is the schedule that seems to occur most often.
