Bring on the stomach bug...awesome. So glad I caught what all my lovey patients have brought into the hospital over the weekend. Nausea and vomiting, body pain and diarrhea. Just called DH to come home from work early because I haven't left the bathroom, and I can't watch K. Puking 38+ weeks pregnant is so fun.

Oh no, flyinghorses6! I'm so sorry. I hope it passes quickly.
Yay! @jacks605, good luck on Friday! Babies!!! Eek!
WTF, coworkers. Read my lips: I don't care about anything past 2/10. NOTHING. So stop asking me what to do with this, or how to handle that. Not. My. Problem.

shawnabm1320, it's 80º here today, the plants are confused and lots of stuff has started to bloom. I am concerned that I will not get pictures of my boys in their Easter outfits in front of full bloomed azaleas before the azaleas putter out. For that reason only, I resent the delightful mid 70ºs and sunshine weather we have been having.
Yes, our bulbs are starting to come up. I hope they don't die off when it goes back to being cold 😕

Our bulbs are coming up, too! I noticed them yesterday. The good news is their hardy plants, so FX they make it to spring.
On an unrelated note, MH checked our HSA today and apparently we have a sizeable amount frontloaded on the account! Enough to cover that prebill and still have money left over! I'm thrilled that's off our plate!!!!
And thanks for all the stomach bug talk. I just had an, ummm, event in the bathroom and I'm worried I caught something. The 'something' being whatever my coworker had Monday and Tuesday, but didn't tell anyone about until today. WTF to coming to work with a stomach virus!

What's the reasoning for it being taken away shellbell?
They're saying I didn't work enough hours.
Which is really something that should have been checked before I got a letter outlining the leave. But I also got fmla with DS when I worked fewer hours but the same employer, so I feel like there are several issues here, and I'm not feeling trusting of the people in charge.

Today's been pretty productive. MIL came and got DD1 for the day, DD2 and I went and got my new license and Medicare card, then we went shopping, and after yesterday's thread I bought and ate more McDonald's than I'm willing to quantify out loud. Now I'm trying to convince the baby to sleep so I can also nap.
flyinghorses6, oh no! I hope you feel better soon. It was over quick-ish for me, so hopefully it won't last too long for you either
Did you have it coming from both ends? I literally cannot keep a sip down. And idk which is worse.
Not shawna, but yes- both ends. I puked over 20 times in 12 hours and couldn't even keep down an ice cube. I ended up in the hospital the next morning and got 6 bags of fluids. You seriously have ALLLLL MY SORRIES!!!!! Would not wish on my worst enemy.

I am so sorry for the stomach virus flyinghorses6 and everyone else that had it. Feel better soon.
@jacks605 I am super excited for babies in 2 days!!
I'm home from work feeling wiped out. There's a deadline which has required me to be super productive lately, and I was only somewhat productive, so now it's going to be late. It was supposed to be a team effort but it didn't end up that way, and I'm having trouble caring if the others aren't. I'm literally counting down the days until maternity leave... 22 more workdays max.

@jacks605 - holy crap to having babies in 2 days! When I read Friday, I initially thought next Friday!
Massive yuck to all the sickness going on. I hope you all feel better sooner than later.
I have been busy at work, counting down the days until leave (8!) and trying to get everything in order. DH's work threw him a shower yesterday and he was so happy when he came home yesterday. I was happy that he brought home cookies.
My WTF is to my co-worker. Her daughter is getting married in June and the shower is in April. She was asking how long I was taking for leave and I told her the entire 12 weeks which will be the end of April/beginning of May. She then asked me if I would come back early so I can work for her the day of the shower. Ummm....hell no! We are short- staffed but it's not my problem, especially when I'm on leave.
What's the reasoning for it being taken away shellbell ?

I'd go to HR and ask when the policy changed. It's harder to say no in person and you deserve an explanation.

crazycatlady6 whoa! I agree with the WTF to your co-worker! She expects you to cut your maternity leave short because of a wedding shower?! But also, WTF to your company that other employees can't take 1 day off while you're on maternity leave? What if they get sick?

Sorry to anyone who is sick. It's literally like we all virtually passed bugs to each other. Hope it all passes quickly. Pregnancy kicked my butt today. Anyone else? Not ready for a baby yet but I just don't think i can stretch anymore!

I had horrible nausea for about 12 hours, then I threw up, followed by more horrible nausea, and then some - um - bathroom incidents, followed by extreme fatigue for another 12 hours. It sounds like you have it worse than I did I'm so sorry. Take care of yourself!

My skin hurts, my abs hurt, my hips hurt, and yet, I don't want this baby to come early. My leave is so nice and neat. Having him early would screw everything. But seriously my skin hurts on my belly. The ultrasound that said he was on the smaller side had to be wrong, surely this baby is 20 pounds.

musicallyinclined, I'm convinced I must've had more amniotic fluid with DS. I can see every move she makes in there - and yet she's supposedly completely normal sized. I don't get it.

shawnabm1320, I can see this baby move so much clearer than DS. Like knees and elbows poking out. Crazy. Even DH thinks this baby is moving more and easier to distinguish parts. Maybe it's a second time mom pre-stretched skin and muscles thing.
