I had a whole post written but my phone ate it. Just finished swimming lessons with L and having lunch! Hopefully I can go for a run later with L and the dog since it's pretty mild here and the sidewalks are clear.
Oh man, I don't know how you're doing it. Four years ago my car died and since it was summer I wasn't working, so we took our time replacing it. I went four weeks without a car. Luckily at the time I was childless and I live in a small town where I can walk everywhere! That's got to be so hard with kids in the winter.

littlesthobo this is seriously the only winter this could work. It's been well above freezing lately so I can walk to preschool. My neighbor friend has been wonderful about lending me her van for pickup. My husband has brought home groceries for me. We are making it work but I really want the insurance check and to get a car.
Man cabbagecabbage that would be so rough over here. I work at a refinery and have to use my vehicle to travel in between buildings most days. Car pooling and other would not work for me. Hope you hear from insurance soon.
Not much going on here. After work, need to go pick up some things for a baby shower that I am throwing next weekend. So much to do, so little time.

I'm pumping. Lazy person in my department got an award for being valuable... I was all WTF!?! Over it but my boss messaged me just a bit ago and explained that he in no way nominated her and it came from an outside person who has since been fired. I am a bit more zen about it now but still think they should have tossed the award in the trash rather than inflate her head.

The irony of being voted valuable by someone who then gets fired is giving me the giggles.
