Hi! I am intro'ing here to have another place to look for commiseration so I don't annoy the crap out of my BMB's.
I had a DD in Sept15 and I was so sick with her. I took 8 Diclectin, 2-4 Gravol, 3 Maxeran, and 1-2 Zofran's per day. I still puked 1-3 times a day from about 8 weeks until delivery (39+6). I went in for fluids once at 8 weeks, and again at 31 weeks after days of keeping nothing down. I thought I was over-reacting but got in so much shit from my Dr about it because I guess my ketones were really high and they just kept pounding fluids and wouldn't let me leave until my pee had cleared for 8 hours. I gained 30 lbs that pregnancy, but pretty much all of them were in the last 10 weeks and by the time I left the hospital 3 days postpartum I was at my pre pregnancy weight, so it was all baby and fluid making up that weight. The whole time I kept thinking holy crap if this is how it is how do women with HG do it?!
Fast forward to now and I'm 7+4 with my second. The nausea started at 5 weeks, and I'm back on the same mix. The puking is better this time, but I'm anticipating it just hasn't caught on full steam yet. I saw my doctor last week and we talked about what I'm going through this pregnancy vs last and he said "Oh, did I not tell you you had HG last time? You definitely did. And you do again" and then I got strict orders that if I don't keep anything down for 8 hours I'm to call the clinic to be admitted to hospital and have to go for biweekly weight checks. So right now I eat crackers and sip gatorade slowly all day long. And eat popsicles. I thought fruit was an option but lately it just makes me stomach clench and I feel so bad after eating it. I'm starting to feel very overwhelmed by going through all of this again, and could really use any advice or tricks anyone has found for things that are helpful beyond meds since I'm already maxed on all of them.
Thanks, and looking forward to meeting you all although I wish we weren't all a part of this group.
