DD wears 18 months especially for pants, but can fit alot of 12 month tops and onesies still. But her little legs are getting so long that even if the 18 months are a little too big around, she needs it for length. Do they make slim sizes at this age?
Both my girls have been long and slim. I love leggings for girls because the stretchiness fakes the size a little- Carters always seems to have really wide waist bands (especially in 2 piece pjs) and tend to avoid.
M is in 12, 12-18, and a few 18. He is outgrowing his 12m pants in length but 18m are pretty big around the waist. I am thankful for Target's Cat and Jack because they have adjustable waist bands. Most 12m tops fit just fine still. Gap and Gymboree 12-18m pants are fitting about as perfect as we can get right now.
C is in 12-18 and 18 month for the most part. 12-18 and 18m in jammies, 18m in onesies, but he can still wear 12m shirts. Our problem is pants - 18m are too long, 12m are too short. I've mostly been keeping him in 18m pants rolled up. I wish I could find some that fit better!

I should probably check these out since it sounds like we've got similar pants problems!

Sometimes I have to cuff them but I find that pretty adorable The 12-18m Gap are a tiny bit big in the waist but they don't fall off so I call it a win. I put him in 12-18m Gymboree this morning and they were just right on the waist.
Harrison could still fit in 6 month everything if they weren't way too short. I have to put him in 18 month everything because of length but they all fall off his waist. I've been putting him in Gap one piece outfits mostly.

DD is the same for tops and waist. It's her legs that are 18 months lol. I could put her in 6 month pants as capri pants on warm days

Well, we have the opposite problem of everyone, apparently. The pants that fit around her waist are too long. She's in 18 month pants and 2T tops. But it's pretty dependent on brand, especially for the pants. I'm discovering that DD1 had a TON of 2T clothes lol.

For Harrison, the 6 &12 month long sleeve tops look like short sleeve or 3/4 sleeve. Pants look like shorts or capris. Which isn't the best look on a boy. The 18 month shirts and pants are great for length but look huge around his body.
My daughter is exactly the opposite. She has a bigger belly so wears 4 and 5t clothes at 3.5 years. But the length is too long so we roll everything up.

It really depends on what it is but Cam is mostly in 18 months, although he can still wear some 12 month items. I think we have moved all of his Pjs up to 18 months.
We are mostly 18m, but overall they are pretty big. like byjove, I try for mostly leggings because they aren't as loose around the waist. She is tall and skinny so 12m pants are flood pants but so many 18m pants are too big around the waist. She's long waisted so we can get away with 18m shirts. My oldest was chubby chubbers so I'm not use to things being loose around the belly.
