I'm at work, drinking a mocha and eating a bacon egg and cheese bagel. I've been obsessed with the iced decaf (ugh I know) mocha's made with almond milk. Mmmm.
DD is able to stand herself up in the middle of the room now without pulling up on something. She keeps taking like 3-4 steps and then plops down. She just needs to go!
Also, her teeth are out far enough that I can actually notice them a bit when she smiles or talks. They've been so slow.

We stayed home from daycare again today. No fever but coughing and still very snotty. Tomorrow he will too since she will have an infant and I don't want to be responsible for a 3 month old with a cold. He's in decent spirits after his nap though, so that's good. I managed to start cleaning and organizing the computer room. Dh will be surprised when he gets home, it's so empty compared to the clutter it's been!

Also newest trick? Sneaks into the kitchen to play in the dog bowls, when I catch him or yell to stop, he stands up and runs to the kitchen table pretending he was there all along

Apparently DD has been having pity parties whenever she hears the word 'no' at daycare. She lies face down on the floor and whines. It doesn't matter if her DCP was even talking to her. She throws herself on the floor when any kid at daycare gets corrected. What a drama queen.

Lol! L does this when we tell her no, too. Full on face plant and cry. It kills me because it's so funny, but terrifies me because I have a feeling she's going to be a handful as she grows and understands more.

Mine sits on his ass, face up and wails. Drama drama drama

DD folds forward when she's sitting. Like just folds, face into floor and cries. I tell her to 'get over it' often. Definitely a difference between DS and this one!

DD is a hair puller at daycare. I think I'd rather her drama queen it up! She used to give us a great stank face when we told her no, but she's apparently gotten over that and just ignores us instead.
I like my coffee with brown sugar and cream. I also add a teaspoon of cocoa powder if I'm feeling decadent.

This week I'm spicing it up and just having milk.
I was not a coffee drinker before DD.
Interesting, I've never thought of brown sugar and/or cocoa powder. I'll have to try this!
Have you ever done butter? I've heard it's the cats meow. 😸

I have not. Is that like in lieu of cream? Because I could see it just being even richer and yummier.
Mmmm, coffee. I don't usually drink it, but I do love a sugary Starbucks beverage. Of course I'm really craving one now because I can't have any sugar. I'm drinking a lot of Good Earth Sweet & Spicy tea lately, which is great, but certainly not a caramel macchiato or vanilla latte.

Mine stares and me, laughs, and keeps doing whatever it is I'm saying "no" to.... :-\
I'm like piperhalliwell and love sugary coffee drinks. In fact this morning after dropping H off at preschool I stopped at Starbucks and got a salted caramel mocha frappuccino. MIL gave me a gift card for my birthday so I'm indulging a little more than usual lately.
I really want to start painting the basement but I don't want to get started and have to stop again. I have to leave to pick up H in about 45 so I wouldn't even get one room done probably. So instead I sit on my butt. I actually am going to get up and pick up H's room. My nephew was over last night and he always trashes the place.

I'm mean and make my sister pick up the toys her kids take out before they leave if the kids won't do it. My Mil comes over to play with the kids sometimes and she always picks up toys before leaving.

It actually annoys me more when other people put the toys away because they never do it right. I like certain things put away together, e.g. the picnic basket food all needs to go back in the picnic basket.
Had my apt with my MW this morning, quick and easy. Booked AS for 4.5 weeks from now.
Going out with my Mom tonight so that should be fun but I'm tired from waking up hungry, insomnia, and screaming child. I think teething is partly to blame. He's not hungry, just wants hugs. Multiple times a night.

trtlcrzy did you get the Joan of Arctic Boot after all? Have you been wearing them? Like them?
I did. I like them ok, they are kind of heavy so the first time I had to drive wearing them was weird. I couldn't really feel how hard I was pushing the pedal. I've worn them when out playing in the snow and they keep my feet warm.

Curious how this would how up when you're pulled over for speeding.

Somehow in the last week, X has kind of decided for himself that he doesn't need to and doesn't want to fall asleep while nursing. He'll still nurse, then play or start making these ridiculous faces and noises at me until I put him in his crib and walk out of the room. Sometimes he fusses for a minute or two, but sometimes he just rolls around and talks to himself until he falls asleep. This is nuts to me. Maybe he realized it's more comfortable to stretch out on his own than having to squeeze into the rocker together to fall asleep.
(I know most of you reached this point months ago and this probably sounds really dumb, but it's HUGE for me/him. It used to take 30-40 minutes to get him to sleep every night and for all naps).

It was actually more the opposite. I thought I was pushing hard but really wasn't.

Mine still nurse to sleep, no shame here. Hmm, I can't remember when DD1 started going down in her bed, I think it was after a year. I know she dropped bedtime nursing on her own at about 16 months.
These two are capable of it. DS does it quite readily but with DD2 it involves plenty of angry crying and screaming at me. Good thing she's not starting daycare yet.
