tortor4 I wasn't allowed anything but liquids or ice pops once admitted so get the food. Granted, once I was in active labor, I wanted nothing to do with food. I think I had half a protein bar from the start of my contractions until dinner that night

DS was due 11/15,which was a Friday and my last day of work. At my last appointment I was 2 cm ,but nothing I did that week worked so I was scheduled to be induced.went in the night before for cervadil, and 3 hours later my water broke and I started having contractions. This continued all night and I ended up taking the IV drugs so I could sleep. The next morning they started pitocin. soon after I got an epidural. However they kept stopping it because his heartrate kept dropping. So spent the entire time in bed being monitored. When the pitocin stopped so did my contractions so I only got to 4 cm and the doc recommended a CS. An hour later DS was here! I was also strapped down , which was no fun so I'm really hopingfor a vbac this time. For L it was the right choice...he was 9 lbs 6 oz and the cord was around his neck and shoulder

Baby 1- (Loss mentioned briefly, wont focus on that) Was 37 weeks, found out there was no hb. I was at 3cm already, and we had thought I would go sometime soon. I was induced the next day. I had an epideral (they are awesome) and my water was broken. I went from 3cm-10cm in about 6 hours. I then pushed for 24 minutes and she was out. She had gotten stuck, her shoulder and she was only 5lbs 11oz. So, our plan for the next baby was c-section because of concern of shoulder dystocia.I stayed for one night in the hospital.
Baby 2- Planned c-section at 37 weeks due to losing my DD at that gestation, and because of the shoulder issue. My OB said I have a prodomentant public bone, makes it hard for babies to fit through. Scheduled c-section, went smoothly. I was shaved and prepped haha, got a spinal (didn't hurt nearly as much as I worried). He was out within half an hour of starting. He was placed on my chest after being quickly checked. I was able to hold him while they stitched me up, then he went with H to get measured etc while I was in recovery. We started BFing within an hour, which suprised me. Before I was even back in my room! Stayed in hospital 3 nights.
This baby will be the same as baby 2, scheduled c-section at 37 weeks.
