There was a protest at the Trump hotel in D.C. Today. My mom spotted stepdads niece in the video. She was born in France but I *think* she has dual citizenship. My step dads response was "sore losers" I fucking hate that response. NO! It is not because we are still sad he won. We are PISSED, upset, in disbelief, etc at the things this man is doing.
Also, I donated to ACLU and plan on doing Planned Parenthood next month. I can't do both each month but plan to alternate. I feel like I need to do something and right now I don't know what else to do.
I went to church for the first time in over 5 years. (Not counting Christmas service at my parents). A new friend told me about her church and it just felt like I had to go. The pastor very kind and against what's happening.
I started going the Sunday after the election. I knew this church from some of their community activism, and I'd supported their food pantry and soup kitchen and it was the same thing— I just kind of felt like I had to go. I'm really glad I did, because just being in a positive community like it helps.
Yeah my friend said he protested at the pipeline and has been arrested for protesting in the past. And I no more than sat down when he realized he didn't recognize me and introduced himself
K woke up at 130 Saturday morning screaming. Took me 45 minutes to get her to lay next to me and then I had to pee and she started screaming again. Took her to our back room and she finally fell asleep around 3. Woke up for the day at 541. Parent of the year gave her tablet to her and fell back asleep until about 730. She was sitting in front of me on the couch. 😪😪😪
Today we went looking at 3rd row SUV options. Currently interested in the Traverse, Explorer, Highlander, Pilot and Durango.
We have a Pilot and love it! We have an older one though (2006). I will say, we are a bit disappointed with how little room it has for stuff if the 3rd row is up.

They are all a little lacking when the 3rd row is up. I think most of the time it will be down, but up for quick trips with grandparents or other people so we don't have to always take two vehicles.
Please excuse my colorful language I just got on the plane- fucking "explosives detected" alarm went off when they swiped my hands. They took apart everything. They had to take me to a room and strip search me and then I had to sit on the floor and shove everything back into the bags. I cried.
That is so terrible. I fucking hate the TSA. I've had some pretty bad experiences with them as well, but never been strip searched. WTF!? I'm sorry you had to deal with that.
What I have learned is that if your kids can walk through the metal detector, they won't swipe your hands. It makes no sense at all, but apparently that's the policy. Last time we flew, my husband walked the twins through and I wore Abigail in the carrier. I was the only one to need my hands swiped. When I inquired about why the policy was that way, they had no explanation, but admitted that it didn't make sense. Needless to say, when we fly next month, I'll hold Abigail's hand and walk her through. It might be worthwhile to do the same with Allison on your return flight.
We just secured DS dresser to the wall. Should have done it earlier but glad it is done now.
I still haven't done it in the twins' room and they're about to turn four. It's the damn plaster walls that I don't want to repair that are holding me back.
th3stryck3r , all of the protests, christians coming out and condemning this, the lawyers in the airports, all give me a bit of hope.
Did you guys see he already registered to rerun? There are so many implications from that (propaganda for one). A president has not registered to rerun before midterm before, so it's not normal either. He registered at 5pm on inauguration day. Very nefarious.
I did see this— very disturbing. I guess that it affects how non profits (like planned parenhood) can speak about/against him. So it's basically exploring a loophole to limit free speech.
I hadn't heard this. That's terrible. Can we start counting down the days yet? There is no way in hell we can reelect this man. We'll be lucky if we survive even one term.

It might be worthwhile to check out the Mazda CX9. We bought one when I was pregnant with Abigail and I love it. I've been amazed at what I can fit in that trunk with the 3rd row down, and when it's up, the double stroller will still fit in the trunk. That was a must for us.

I will second TSA sucking. My dad complains all the time. He has to go through every single flight (all flight crew does) and theyre just douchey. Always taking his lunches and some of them seem hell bent on crazy searches. Power trippin
@janetheconquerer I hope your headache got better and you enjoyed the baby shower.
mrspiatt I'm so sorry that happened to you (and to you ampaints) it is a very violating feeling. I hope you enjoy Chicago.
taketheshot I really hope your headache has gone away.
@mrspanpan I'm so very sorry you and your family will be in my thoughts.
tuscanlatte the swim class was actually super fun (indoor and heated) and it was only 30 minutes which was the perfect amount of time. W really wanted to jump out of our arms and put his face in the water so that's cool/terrifying.

Good luck with the car shopping!
We took a quick look at the CX9, but I don't really like the way the front end looks. I may have to put them on the list though if a double will fit with the seats up! What kind of double do you have? We've got a side by side with the large wheels.
I wonder what dealers would think if I drug our double out to see the fit.

We have the City Mini GT Double. Don't feel weird about bringing the stroller with you. I brought ours to every dealer showroom and tried it out. If the stroller didn't fit with the third row up it was a deal breaker.
