No exciting plans over here. I went on a 1.5 mile walk with Indiana already. I think we're just chilling the rest of the day. We'll go over to the inlaws tomorrow to do our taxes. There's a great Mexican place over there so I'm angling for some yummy spicy food. I told mh I'm not cooking this weekend.

Nothing exciting over here either. I'm going to a preschool open house at 1 but aside from that we'll be home. Dh and his contractor friend are going to attempt to fix the leak. I'm trying to remain optimistic that my house will not be destroyed in the process.

ILs might come over today they wanted us to come down and visit but E has been so fussy it's better to have her here. I got some good sleep but H was up real late with her. So I am expecting a grouchy H today. I really should take down the Christmas tree.
One of my girlfriends is coming to visit around lunchtime. The, we're going out to dinner with a big group for my niece's birthday. This will be our first big outing as a family of 4. The restaurant is an hour away from us, so I'm a little nervous about logistics. I will probably nurse A in the car before and after dinner.
I'm not ready to NIP yet, plus my sister's ex-H and fam will be at dinner and they're all creep AF. DNW comments coming my way.

Last night, I slept from 12:30, til baby fed at 4:30, then again til baby fed at 7. I thought that was it for sleep, so I showered.
When I got out, toddler was in our bed, calm. So I laid back down while H showered and toddler was nice and calm.
Except she wanted to lean over me and peek at baby sister. In doing so, she put all of her 28# of body weight on my belly. Now, I didn't have a C-section, but that weight on my belly HURT!

DH is cleaning up the house, which is so helpful because I can't vacuum or anything yet. Then we're headed to the ILs, which I'm sort of dreading. I don't think we will stay long.
With DS, I always would NIP with a cover. It worked well. We're not there yet though. I have an oversupply and forceful letdown in my right boob (again), so we both tend to end up covered in BM all day. Nursing at my ILs today should he interesting. Can't wait for her mouth to get bigger and my right boob to chill out!

I had H take W out of the room this morning so I could get some restful sleep. And then I was woken up by DS1 jumping into my bed and my mom calling. I refused to get out of bed so I got on Facebook to find out that the person we managed to secure for a super cheap nanny when I go back to work may not be available anymore. They're going to FL for awhile to see about job prospects. If they find something, they're staying and if they don't, they'll be back.

Wow thelittleredm. Had they mentioned this possibility when you arranged for them to nanny? Or is this a new development? Regardless, that's a pain in the ass. What the hell are you supposed to do? Live in freaking limbo and hope they return front FL? Ugh. Sorry for the stressful situation.

heybulldog56, It's a new development. She lives with her mom and I guess her mom does contract work so that's why they're headed out to FL to see if there's any for her to do. On the one hand, I know her mom has been out of work for awhile so I hope she finds something. I just hope that something ends up being here.

Sitting at the park nursing ds while mh runs around with dd. We went to the farmers market this morning and are going to grab lunch soon. These are the times I feel like being a family of four is working out.
Awwwww our Ranger Rick Jr magazine was misdelivered. The mom drove the kids (7/8ish) to our house and they were so excited find the rightful owner and deliver it to ds. Warms my icy heart.

I read everything and had replied typed out and Tapa lost them. Augh.
My left elbow is super sore from my fall yesterday, I caught myself with that hand. I guess I'm lucky I didn't snap the wrist or break anything. I'm basically functioning with one arm. Thank goodness my mom is still here.
DH is working until 5 and then my mom is going to watch both kids and we're going to dinner. Japanese restaurant, I wanted sushi

Oh how nice silvermelody! Date night and dinner out sounds so relaxing and peaceful (not to mention delicious). Enjoy! Also hope your arm feels better soon. Being in pain sucks.

H's contractor friend just showed up. They are going to start working on the ceiling/ leak now... in the middle of DS1's nap time. I'm also about to head out to a prek open house with DS2. Have fun destroying my house and caring for a cranky toddler, men!
My client still is at 4cm they are thinking they'll wait to restart induction until Monday, my heart hurts so much for them. C was up every hour last night. I'm so tired and I have a newborn in 45 min.
DD didn't nap today, is that normal for a 23 month old? She was in bed by 7:45 instead of 10, so that's nice...
We went on top of the mountains for DD to play in the snow then had fondue for lunch and went for a walk by the lake this afternoon. For once it wasn't freezing temps and gray, so we had to get out.
I'm making a carrot cake to take a church function tomorrow and had a random dinner of yogurt with granola.
Hoping to get into bed by 9 and hopefully DS will have 4-5 hour stretches.

biscotto DS is 30 months and sometimes skips a nap, they usually go to bed early on those days! Your mountain and fondue day sounds amazing! Hope DS gives you at least one long stretch tonight
ashtog so sorry for your client my induction with DS didn't work but obviously that was a different scenario. Sending thoughts of peace and love. Be gentle with yourself, I'm sure this is hard for you because of S.
I'm really looking forward to dinner out except it means I really need to shower (with one arm?) and I can't wear my soft pants lol. I've been living in my maternity Palazzo pants since I got home.
ashtog, my good friend had a missed induction and needed another one 36sh hours later. It was so hard on her, she was so exhuasted. She asked for a c-section after spending about 12 hours stuck at 3cm dilated but contractions coming every 3 minutes, but the midwife said no and that they could do up to 3 inductions!
Anyway, I feel awful for your client. I can't imagine how exhausting that must be.
