runningmommy519 omg omg omg that is the sweetest thing! Ohh he's so cute and sweet and I'm a puddle and I'm not even his mama. That must have felt amazing!
He originally did it when I started singing "I love Ethan yes I do. I love Ethan how bout you" (think that "I've got spirit" song) then he said I love you back. So I grabbed my phone.
amberlie you didn't fail, you made a decision that will allow you to stay in the program and take the class when you can do well at it. You did the smart thing.
Today ended up being such s fun day. packmomma and W came by for a while this evening. Both M and W approved the chili I made, they ate like champs! The girls night was fun as well. A good time was had by all.
amberlie I once dropped a class because I had to have gallbladder surgery and the professor told me he wondered why I hadn't dropped earlier. I was trying to just tough it out and I know that's what you're doing too. It is much better to know the better situation for your success than press on and risk failing. You are doing an amazing job with so little free time, so little sleep, and so much to do with 2u2. You are doing an amazing job and need to give yourself credit for successfully understanding your situation and strengths.
amberlie, I've dropped a class before. It feels bad in the moment, but if you had a gut feeling about it now, you will be happy about it later (at least from my experience). You aren't a failure!!
We're headed to a boss dinner tomorrow night..it's at the boss whose house is not child proofed/doesn't have kids. And H just told that the only other couple with a kid will not be bringing them them and was wondering if we had been able to find a babysitter for w..... um he was explicitly invited but now he'll be the only kind there..my little tornado who is in an exciting screaming stage. I'm super nervous. It's with all the bosses and we'll be there right around walt's dinner time and bed time. I'm so nervous guys. Give me some encouraging words of wisdom please.
@janetheconquerer The lifting restrictions after surgery are challenging. I couldn't lift Abigail for 3-4 weeks, and fortunately my H was able to help out a lot during that time. Once I was mobile I changed diapers on the floor, and would help Abigail climb onto things rather than lifting her if possible. DH would help me get her out to the car if we were going anywhere. Fortunately I didn't have any need to lift the twins. They are self-sufficient enough and could climb into the car and into their car seats.
Will your H be home while you are recovering? Is there anyone else who can help out if he's traveling? The part that would really be impossible on your own would be getting C into and out of the crib. I also don't know how you would manage to get him in/out of the car seat without lifting.
My parents are here visiting until Tuesday. I'm not sure what my mom will have the energy for (she's dealing with cancer treatment), but it's just nice to spend time with them.
I'm hoping to do some shopping while they're here. Maybe the zoo on Sunday if my mom is up for it. It's supposed to be 60 degrees on Sunday!
amberlie Don't be hard on yourself about the change you've made. You're setting yourself up to succeed and you'll still get there even if this doesn't seem like as much of a direct route. Definitely the right choice.
redandblue, you have a kid old enough to have a driver license, eek! Do you feel like he was just a baby yesterday? But congrats to him.
Ya he is 17! It's a crazy thought that my baby is that old! I do feel like he was a baby just yesterday, and also that it seems so long since he was that adorable, little chubby guy toddling around!
