Also, I just got teary listening to "This Land was made for you and me" (kids music from Alexa) I've never been ashamed to be an American until now..
I randomly had a CD on over the weekend that was patriotic music. Proud To Be an American by Lee Greenwood came on and I got teary. The lyrics just didn't feel true anymore and that makes me so angry.
We are the laughing stock of the world right now. That's embarrassing.
layloo08 Cute photo. We talked about this at our ECFE class. How toddlers are sometimes more excited to play with non toys like tupperware and bowls. It really does promote active play/roll play. he sees you going in there, He might start mimicking you e.g. pretending to stir stuff in a bowl. etc.
One of Abigail's favorite things is to stir things with a spoon in a cup or a bowl. There doesn't need to be anything in there. She just loves to stir.
M loves the Tupperware cabinet a well. He'll carry containers around the entire house, it's pretty cute.
M's pillow arrived today. There's a pillow in the living room that he's putting on the floor and laying his head on, so we figured we get him one. I have no idea how this will go tonight.
I got Abigail a pillow for Hanukkah and it took her a couple weeks to really get the idea and use it consistently, but now I frequently find her sleeping with her head on the pillow. It's so cute.
I hope M loves his pillow tonight. We demonstrated how to use her pillow and also showed her how we use the pillows in our bed. I think that helped.

I hope it goes well! A loves her pillow. She hugs it in her sleep, it's adorable.

Speaking of family stuff, I found out my cousin got married Saturday by seeing it on Facebook. He just got his divorce finalized in either late November or early December. I did further facebook digging and it looks like guys ex is also remarried already 😮
W woke up screaming multiple times last night he fell back asleep within 2 minutes on his own (once took 4) but I don't know what the screaming is about. I could hear him in our room and that happens very rarely(multiple fans and noise machines ususlly block the noise completely). We may be hitting the regression early.
M used the pillow a little, but it didn't interrupt his sleep. He woke up at 4:30 all on his own 😒 He didn't wake up in the night at least. He went back to sleep for a while, but was not happy when H woke him up.
So thankful that Henry is finally starting to sleep longer than 3 hours at a time! Only 1 wakeup last night. Heading to storytime today, most likely. No other plans. I need to work on DDs quilt so that I can get it finished. I'm so close!
Ok i have so many things to say and if i read all i will forget.
amberlie, yes inserting iud during your period is easier because the cervix opens up more. My doctor even gave me a prescription to help it soften up even more. I did mirena (hormonal) and hated it. Switched to copper. But the one you are getting is like the mirena if I remember correctly. But, my point is, you don't HAVE to wait for your period, it just makes it easier. And more comfortable (for what that is worth, because lets be honest, it's uncomfortable).
packmomma, first things first, hugs. But i agree with redandblue that it might be a bit of an overreaction. Maybe she timed it perfectly to swing by when no one was home because she didn't get a response. Also put yourself in her shoes. If it was W's birthday and even if you were not on great terms with him, he's your son, your baby, and you'd want to reach out to him. I say in this 1 case, give her the benefit of the doubt.
layloo08, C tears my kitchen apart when i am in there. half the time to entertain himself the other half the time because i won't give him food. eh, it is what it is.
redandblue, huge high five for missing out on the disgusting parts of parenting!! and so glad you had fun!
amberlie, because i forgot (i told you i would). Doctors are smart. most of the time. this time your doctors an ass. don't listen to him. if you know there are safe meds that are available to you while breastfeeding, ask for them. Don't ever let anyone, even a doctor, talk you out of what you know is best for your kids. If breast feeding is what you want to do, then keep on doing it. That doctor can eat a bag of dicks for all we care.
and packmomma, we can add your uncle to the eating a bag of dicks club. seriously, was he dropped on his head as a kid? i am assuming he doesn't have kids? what a douche.
i hacked out a lung in the shower but it was great. i am feeling much better. i think i can go back to the gym tomorrow with how i feel. I haven't been able to work out due to the cough and if i exerted myself, than well i couldn't stop coughing or catch my breath. i am slightly overly excited about hitting up the gym. lol
both kids slept well. today is the coldest day of the year for FL, it was 35° when i left the house. and it's been 50 or below for the past 5 days....that's winter for us. but it starts warming back up tomorrow and by Sunday will be in the 80s again.
Hey ladies! I've been addicted to FB since lately because of the political shit storm that is going on....and I have never been good about checking in both places. I need to chill with FB though. the constant barrage of wtf news is giving me anxiety.
I had to chill with FB for this very reason. Of course, now I'm addicted to Twitter...
I keep meaning to jump on the Twitter train. Confession: in the past I have used it only for the Oscars and to see when my favorite food truck was going to be downtown where I worked....
layloo08 deactivated FB! I don't think I could do that because my family has a group on there and we share stuff...but at the same time that sounds very freeing.

I made an appointment for an eye exam on Saturday. I'm ridiculously excited to get me glasses, my eyes stuck. I've even convinced H to come help me pick out frames since I'm site they'll insist on dilating my eyes.
I am sick. And I'm an idiot. I could feel myself getting sick ever since last Friday, so I rested a lot and every time I did, I felt better. Woke up yesterday feeling fine and then ran around like a mad woman doing all the things. It hit me hard at dinner last night. Now I'm in bed feeling so grateful that my mom offered to come over today to watch her.
1. Are you mobile or PC? 2. Do we want to do a fun thing like we did at the beginning? Like pick a funny gif based off a them and put on our signature? 3. If so, what theme do you all want to do?

All this talk about birth control is making me realize I need to figure out what we're going to do. I'm still pushing hard for H to get a vasectomy but he needs more time to be convinced. I really don't want to go back on birth control pills and I'm not a huge fan of the IUD either. I've already told my OB that if I have to have a c-section for some reason to go ahead and tie my tubes, but I'm hoping to avoid that as well.
I hope he chooses to get the V! I love the depo injection although I know it's not for everyone.
I just cleaned one part of the counter, cooked breakfast paninis, painted with w, and now we're playing kitchen. AND I'm about to start folding laundry. I don't know what's gotten into me but I'll take it
