Thanks britta. The nurse took my BP over my sweater because I couldn't pull my sleeve up enough. Could that have affected it? We have a cuff at home that MH ordered after G was born, and he can take it for me. I hope it was just a fluke.
I think I may do our taxes this weekend. I have everything I need now; I just need the time to sit down and do it.
It sounds more like she's with early intervention, right? They typically come until 3 when the school system picks up and they work on speech and skills if a little qualifies and is behind. I'm not defending her at all, but I have heard the term "lazy" used before in an EI setting. As in, this child is capable of crawling but is lazy and prefers to just wait for you to pick them up. Or you have to push them to work on walking because they're fine to just sit there. Maybe I'm misunderstanding because I'm not familiar with any home nurse that would come for free until 3.
Does anyone have any thoughts on pampers baby dry? I've used them with the big for overnights but I didn't use them with a little last time. I remember them running small so I'm trying to figure out if I should get a 2 or a 3. I'm also wondering if they're soft enough for all day use because they're priced at 15 cents/ diaper at size 2 which is cheaper than the target or Costco brand at the moment. The swaddlers are 20 cents/ diaper on amazon. Thoughts?

I love the Baby Dry becole. That's probably my favorite Pampers line of diapers. I feel like they hold a lot more too - we don't get the leaks really ever with those. I have a bunch of swaddlers currently but I prefer the Baby Dry for overnights especially.
Have you tried Target brand? I love their diapers as well. I find them comparable to Pampers.

I use Costco target and pampers- whichever I can find on sale. For some reason the baby dry is $30 for 222 size 2 diapers which is even cheaper than Costco at $30 for 174 diapers. Target right now is also $30 for 174. And really in the Costco he needs size 3 so it's more expensive. I am not sure if he needs size 3 in the baby dry. The size 2 swaddlers is like a size 3 Costco.
smallpotato for sure taking it over your shirt can falsely elevate it. But if we're talking a huge variant from normal, than probably not.
Thanks for the info . I'll have MH check it for me tomorrow morning before he leaves for work. It was definitely higher than normal; the numbers were closer to what they were when I got admitted the day G was born. It's weird.
I also read a funny blog post about the man cold/flu yesterday. I'll have to see if I can find it. T&P for your sanity and that he feels better soon.

+1 to Baby Dry. I cloth diaper during the day and put on a baby dry at night! Baby Dry> Swaddlers> anything made by huggies
smallpotato- Hopefully the BP was just a fluke thing and it's not really that high!
britta - May the force be with you. Man Flu is the suck.
I got my W-2 today, which means we now have everything we need to file our taxes. We use Turbo Tax, so DH already has everything loaded up in there, just waiting for mine. I'm sure he'll them file tonight so we can get our refund.
@snuff9861 what size baby dry are you using and how big is your baby?
Currently in a size 5 with DS who's ~27-28 lbs We were given a box of Swaddlers so we're using those before we switch to Baby Dry. She'd likely be in a size 1 or 2. Size 2 starts around 12 lbs, and she's just over 12 lbs (I'm guessing). I found with DS that when he was on the bottom end of the next size range, we'd size up. But he's always been a bit of a heavy wetter.
You know I love you but I will fight to the death over this. I hate Huggies. We have never had success with them! Always had leaks and honestly, I hate they reek of urine even with the slightest bit of pee. I know some people are die-hard about them, and that's okay, but I have given them multiple chances and still NO.
I do like their pull-ups. I will say that much. They're much easier to use like underwear while PTing.

Went to a consignment store over lunch and scored two pairs of jeans and three pairs of work pants for $5 each! And they were brands like j crew, the limited, and the loft. Couldn't believe they had my size in styles I wear....Or maybe that's a sign I'm unfashionable, haha. Meh. Don't care.
Oh man I don't even know where to start! I haven't even seen the private board screenshots hikingmama222, but I hope you or someone here comes up with a real zinger. Like polite but stings and makes her look like a jackass. So uncool of her. I have never tried babydry because they're the least expensive so I assumed they weren't that good. I'll have to try them! DD1 getting up at 5 was because she had peed through! So this convo came at an interesting time. OK I already forget what else was discussed. I went to the far away but really good lactation support group today. DD2s lip tie is readhering, she does have a slight tongue tie, her latch is not right, she only likes when the milk is flowing fast, etc, etc. But she's gaining weight (15 lbs 9 oz) and was all smiles for them. So she said I certainly don't have to have it all taken care of, but gave me the names of two dentists they recommend. Which were two names I've seen a bunch when doing my own research. I just don't know what to do. fem there's a fb page for lip ties and tongue tongue is if you're interested. But they're pretty hardcore get-it-fixed mentality, just a heads up. Hope your situation ends up being ok. We also went to this play group run by a parenting educator at the hospital. It rejuvenated me in the toddler rearing department. So that was good. I had a good talk with my brother about our upbringing which surprisingly also left me feeling better about things. I think way too much. Oh yeah! penguin129, I would totally nix that home nurse if it's causing you stress. Moms to littles need no extraneous BS in their lives. If it was totally supportive and left you feeling empowered, then heck yeah keep it for as long as you need it. And at HLs next appointment mentire it to the pedi and maybe they will even say HL doesn't need it. Alright DD1 went down late because of all our outings today and she's still sleeping at 445. I need to go wake her soon. Pray for me.
+1... and team honest co. But lately the Huggies have been doing the trick for DD. I hateddddd how mushy feeling the pampers felt when wet, which is why I switched to Honest Co with DS.

And I will fight to the death over my Huggies!LOL!!
Huggies Lil Movers were the only diapers that contained DS1's man sized poops up his back every. single. day. And their overnight diapers? BEST. Again, only thing that has saved me from having to change sheets daily. Surprisingly, we only used Pull-Ups for a minute because they made him breakout.
I had heard of the pee thing but didn't notice it until DS2 came along. It's bad with him. Almost enough to make me switch sides. We'll see. He doesn't have the foul, huge poops like his brother so far.

Thanks everyone! The home nurse was through healthy start and because Lil P was in the NICU that is why the nurse was coming for free. I talked to Mr. P and my Aunt & cousin. They all say get rid of the home nurse. I'll be calling tomorrow to cancel and talk to her supervisors.

I had a 5 hours of sleep last night. We got off track this weekend and Big P was still up at 1130. She didn't nap today and I'm wondering what will happen tonight. Lil P and Mr. P are sleeping and Big P is watching stuff on his phone.

penguin129 If you aren't comfortable with the nurse, definitely speak up.
fem Arg for not even getting a bath to yourself. Tell DH he owes you a box of bath bombs from LUSH.
DS just rolled from tummy to back twice - just a little thing but was really exciting to see as first time parents. DH missed the first one, ran upstairs when I told him, promptly put DS on his tummy again and said "No dinner til you roll." Ha. It's only DS gets so upset though.
Do I unswaddle now? Or is that only from back to tummy?
