I think you just gotta ride it out. Changing hormones in the baby's body and such can cause it I think. My DD had it pretty bad around 3-5 weeks and it went away by itself. I have heard that some people try to put breastmilk on it, but I can't tell you whether it works...
It just looks so uncomfortable, poor thing.
I'm sure he gets plenty of BM on it without even trying

MissDemeanor, I squirt breastmilk on his acne spots whenever in done feeding him (and when I remember to). It definitely improves it compared to days I forget. ellabee, That's what I was leaning toward. I feel no lumps anywhere, though. Can a duct be clogged without you feeling anything? I've never had this issue before. heybulldog56, I really hope it's just hormones. How weird is that to admit lol peaseblossom55, I was thinking of contacting the LC that works with our doula group and see if she recommends making an appointment to check it out.
Nerd alert. I love my baby tracking app. I think it's so cool to look at all the data. Lifetime, B has had 208 diapers and nursed for 89hrs 25min (!!).
pibblemom omg she's adorable and looks just like you!
rinny we're also in the less pushing mucous spit up club. It's been a few hours though and the nurses went hardcore with some chest thumping and suction so I'm hoping it's finally over.
3 year old is being special today. Baby is als9 being fussy and was up every hour. This is resulting in lack of patience for mom.
I need a nap. Or donuts.
Both. Always both. ellabee, that's great that his levels haven't gone up but it's got to be frustrating that they haven't dropped. FX they start dropping soon.
lakegirl omg I know I've been thinking the same thing. They are on the level of the contractions I had when I got to the hospital and they get WORSE with each kid?? o.O
I got called up to the office to work on something for an awards package they sent up for me. I was actually happy to get out of the house for a little bit by myself.

Right?! Last night I was thinking if this was a contraction, I'd say it's about a 7. Where's my epi?! The Percocet barely put a dent in it last night.

tex, enjoy getting out of the house. It's a good feeling!
Dh's friend and another guy have been here all day fixing the leak. Apparently our shower was the culprit. I'm scared to go upstairs to see what's going on.

Chiro went well, she's very nice and agreed with my LC's assessment. Did a very gentle adjustment that already seems to be helping N latch easier. It only took her two tries vs like twelve.
On the downside I have a topical infection at my incision site so now I'm at the doctor instead of napping while both kids nap I left plenty of pumped milk but I'm still afraid this is going to take forever.

silvermelody, I hope that infection clears up soon. At least the chiro appointment went well.
I've taken some Aleve today and it's helped a lot. Still no fever but my skin is still ultra sensitive when the Aleve wears off. That said, my whole boob is no longer in pain. The underside and the upper corner near my sternum hurts but not as badly. It mostly hurts if it gets bumped or if I raise my arm. At least nursing on that side doesn't hurt anymore!
