Rough night for baby boy. I don't understand what is going on but we are back in a major congestion phase with him. He is OK at 10 when we put him down but after his 4am feed he is so congested he coughs and is gasping for air as he can't breathe through his nose. So he slept the last few hours on my chest and is breathing better again. He will be fine all day and then tonight at 3 or 4 he will do it again.
DD also had a rough night, she doesn't wake up up but watching the motion notifications on our monitor she hasn't slept for more than 45 minutes all night we went to pick her up twice this morning and she was snoring, this was after watching her stir in our camera for 5 minutes before. Poor kid.
Oh and our heat isn't keeping up, I let it go when it was an issue in December because H was whining about money and shouldn't have. Kicking my self today as I now wait for someone to show up sometime today. Could be 9am or 7pm who knows. Thankfully after last nights sleep I am OK with a lazy day around here.
Morning. Sorry for the crappy nights ladies, ours wasn't horrible, but DS was up at 5:45. Last day of maternity leave so I'm soaking up every moment with L that I can today.
Sorry for all the bad sleeps. E was up one more time than usual, but was easy to put back down every time.
aggiebug E has another cold so during one of her nighttime wake ups I've been using the nose frida. I use a nasal spray (hydra sense, I think it's Canadian only) first to make it more viscous. Then suction. It's been helping her in the early morning get few more hours of breathable sleep.

Yeah it's just weird because this is at least the 4th episode of this since he was born and it's only after his 3/4 am wake up. We use saline drops and a bulb suction before bed when it starts with no effect. I have not done MOTN though because he gets sooooo angry. I think that is my next move.its just weird I wish I knew why it was happening.
Morning. Sorry for the rough nights, everyone. Wishing naps for all today.
C slept fine but I was up with DS, he's been sick and was up coughing half the night, poor kid. Took him to the pedi this morning and got an antibiotic so hopefully that will knock out his various issues (cough, mucus, EI, etc).
DH is in CA for work this week so I'm solo with both kids; luckily my parents are awesome so I have plenty of help. Seriously, I may strap them to the moving truck and bring them to VA with us when we move.

Hi ladies. Sorry for all the rough nights. C has been sleeping better overnight but man does he fight sleep hard in the evening. H came home and C was SCREAMING at the top of his lungs. Luckily H took him so I could get a break and he was able to get him to sleep. He was pretty much out for the night after that. I can definitely tell that he sleeps better at night when he's gotten good naps in. We've been back to only one wakeup overnight.
And C is officially 3 months old today! I got some cute pictures this morning that I'll share when he's done eating.

aggiebug Do you have a humidifier in his room? C was really congested for a while too but it's gotten better with a humidifier. We have a humidifier, heater and ceiling fan (set to winter mode) going in his room.

Hey ladies. We've been having some sleep regression going on with both kids. I actually cried for the first time last night when at 1am I had Lilah who refused to go in the pnp on one side and Lillian up against my back on the other side. Luckily Lilah did go back in the pnp shortly after and slept until 5ish. I'll take it.
Both kids are sniffly today. Lillian is covered in snot. It's disgusting. So no playgroup for us. Lots of snuggles, rest, and hoping Lillian is well enough for dance tomorrow.
Tonight we have bookclub. I finished the book Sunday night. I liked it even though it was a very bittersweet book.
I've been struggling a lot lately with a variety of things. Feeling trapped by the never ending housework. Not sleeping well. Hating how I look. Having a sense of being a failure/not being the person or mom I imagined I'd be. I'm contemplating seeing somebody. Not sure yet if it's really needed or not.

Sitting in my car in my garage with a baby sleeping in her car seat and a sick puppy on my lap. She's been throwing up since Sunday, went downhill yesterday, and started throwing up blood this morning. The amount I've spent at the vet already is a bit sickening and they're still not sure what it is. Ugh.

I think you're amazing ClassyMrsA. You do so much to keep your girls happy and busy, it's pretty awe inspiring! I get overwhelmed by the never ending give give give that my thoughts turn negative too. I hope you're feeling better and if you're still throwing around the idea of talking to someone I say do it! Taking care of yourself is so important.

Yup it's on high although our room is big so I am debating bringing his in to see if that would help. I dunno.
Hey ladies... Thought I'd check in and see how everyone is doing. I'm sorry that so many of you are dealing with sleep issues. I remember the days and they're rough.
I'm trying my best to get back into some sort of routine. Since the surrogacy is over and my job term ended shortly before, I'm struggling to find my sense of purpose again. Of course, I have my kids and love them to pieces, but I feel like I have much more than that to give. I have a few more weeks left of maternity benefits so I am job-searching like crazy right now. I'm also back working out regularly and trying to put in at least 5k a day with my dog, which is making me feel more like "me" again. I also just sent in an application to foster dogs, so hopefully that will help me feel like I'm doing something good again!
Anyway, I hope you're all doing well! Off to stalk last week's Bump Day thread to see some sweet squishes!

Hi ashleysyn!!! Hope the perfect job presents itself to you soon. 5k a day is fantastic! I thought I'd have the best work out buddy ever when we got our big guy, but he ended up being the laziest pup I've ever met.
I love it waitwhat!! M does it too and I find myself doing the craziest things just to be able to hear it more often.

Finally got a diagnosis. Little girl has pancreatitis. Best guess is from either stealing her sisters food all the time or eating something she shouldn't have outside. Thankfully with a small amount of bland food every two hours and some zofran she'll be just fine in a week or so.
ETA: unless someone on here has an experience or other info on this. I only know about pancreas issues in humans.
ETA2: this is the youngest dog that has this, not the baby. Just in case that wasn't clear.

Glad it's easily treatable sophiegrace! It's so hard when a pet has issues since they can't tell you wants bothering them. Hope she feels better with the new diet.

When is this damn Moro reflex going to go away?! (Rhetorical question since I've googled) It is terrible and keeps waking him up all the time (from naps especially)!

The amount of money I spent to to be told chicken, rice, and zofran will do the trick is slowly killing me.
And I really wish my child would poop. The last time she went this long I had to wash both our outfits, the couch, the blanket on the couch, her blanket, two burp clothes, and her elephant.
Over/under that she waits until we're at the office tomorrow?

ashleysyn good to hear from you! Fostering dogs sounds like a great activity, I'd love to do that someday. Hope you get back in the groove soon and find a job that you like.
So last night instead of C screaming his head off before bed, he wouldn't stop smiling at us! What a funny little dude. He didn't fight the swaddle at all and just laid in bed quietly until he fell asleep. It was a nice change of pace and super cute.
