What's going on today? Picked up DD from daycare yesterday and one of the kids was throwing up everywhere . I am praying she didn't catch anything, but she was coughing and fussy last night. Ugh. I have a feeling we are all about to be miserable.

Starting off the day with drama related to the other half of a cow that we sold. Goodie! Looks like we may be getting 3/4 of a cow instead of just half. But if we do, we'll also be losing $1200 now. Not exactly something we budgeted for.
It's snowing here; we were going to get groceries today, but we might wait or send H out tonight instead. It might sleet later, and I don't want to be driving in it while this pregnant! Snow always makes me want to curl up with a cup of tea and watch BBC period dramas. Too bad I have a toddler to watch and a giant to-do list

Sorry to be a PW this early in the morning, but I remembered that this article about newborn-hood might be useful for our FTM's. It's obviously slanted toward breastfeeding, but I think you can expect similar baby behavior with formula fed babies as well - and just being prepared for the behavior could help you not freak out when/if it happens. Like i did. Lol

I took my kitty to the vet today, he is doing well after his bout of asthma about a month ago. Thank goodness DH was there since said kitty is hard to catch and I don't have the energy to chase him around the house.
I have work in a bit then errands to run afterwards since nothing is open yet. So until work I'm sitting in my favorite coffee shop eating a 2nd breakfast.
Bottom baby: breech, 6lb 12oz Top baby: transverse, but flipped 180 degrees from last week, 7lb even
How the hell did top baby flip? And does that mean there is space for bottom baby to flip? Her biggest pocket of fluid is between her back/butt and my cervix.

Oh, shellbell, I've been thinking about you. I hope everything went smoothly yesterday!
nomnom - Is your OB thinking a C-section is likely? Sounds like you have two very busy, active babies in there!
I filed our taxes last night!!! I've been stalking the mail for some of MH's information and it came! I'm so glad that's off my plate. DNW to worry about filing returns with a newborn at home. Plus, I do it for a living for people that make waaaaaaay more money than me, so the last thing I want to do is file my own taxes!
I'm at work today, much to the dismay of the boss who bet I'd have this baby yesterday LOL The good news is I've been catching up on work. The bad news is I've continued to have very painful contractions (enough to stop and make me catch my breath). It's really not fun trying to put on compression socks/walk up stairs/do ANYTHING with these CX happening. But at least my body is doing something!
TMI: I'm hoping to poop today so, if this baby comes, constipation is one last thing to worry about. I had Raisin Bran for breakfast, packed a salad for lunch, and clementines and yogurt for snacks. FX things get moving! LOL

AFM, one of my good friends from D.C. is in Boston for a work conference. We were supposed to get dinner tonight, but now we're expecting snow. So I had to cancel. My hospital is over an hour outside of Boston, and if something were to happen, it'd easily take me 2+ hours to get to the hospital. So I'm kind of sad that I'm missing out... but I am saving myself the anxiety. I also am not sad at all about not having to drive in snow.
I have a monstrous zit in the middle of my back, right on my spine and it kills. My skin throughout my pregnancy has been great, but the past 5 weeks or so has been very... teenagerish.
Also, another day of pretending to care at work. Except I'm behind AF, so I kind of need to make myself care.
Evelyn3, I just realized you're due in four days! You must be SO ready!
Yes! Just scared for the delivery part (not overly, but still) but that was always something I knew I would have to deal with.
Otherwise, i am so excited to meet him, and looking forward to being able to bend over to put socks and shoes on again soon without feeling like I'm dying. Haha
Annnnnnnd of course my body decides that I can now go to the bathroom now that my appointments done. It would have been way too helpful to do that before the weigh in
Hi guys! She's here! I'll post a thread when I have pics, but she was born at 6:08am. I've been in the mother baby unit for a little over an hour, and I've been sleeping while the baby is...in the nursery?
I appreciate all of your well wishes today and yesterday. What was a really daunting and scary situation for me ended up not being bad, and I know part of that is because so many people on this planet were sending positive vibes!
I am working out of the office today. There is a meeting with essentially my big boss and our board tonight about whether or not they can afford me anymore. Which is super sad since I don't make a lot of money. Anyway, I'm pretending that I'm not stressed about it, but I totally am. Other than that, trying to get my shit done so I can take it extra easy next week. I keep thinking I might just take a couple of sick days next week. 8 more work days! Also found out the church is having a shower for us on my last Sunday before leave. It's supposed to be a freezer meal shower, or they were invited to bring a gift for DS. I hope it's more food than toys, we do not need a million light up noise toys! Oh well, it's super sweet of them and a reason to clean out the freezer! And will take a load off of us trying to figure out food since I've totally slacked on making freezer meals, and by slacked I mean, I made a partial list and didn't actually buy anything... oops.
shellbell, congratulations! Can't wait to hear your story.
Youguise. I am legit exhausted. I want to nap more than I've ever wanted to nap in my life. What's wrong with me?
Girl, nap while you can. You deserve it. That has been the thing I miss most between this pregnancy and the first. With a toddler there is no nap time after work.
musicallyinclined Oh I've never heard of a freezer meal shower but now I want one. How practical! Also sorry about the meeting going on. Hopefully you get good news out of it!

DH was talking about cluster feeding last night. He couldn't remember it that well because, HE WAS SLEEPING THROUGH IT. I love him, but I wanted to smother him with a pillow the first week of DS's life. He promised me he would get up and change the baby this time and hand him to me. We will see.... although I'm super excited about newborn cuddles!

I am just so happy it isn't clothes or diapers we have SO MANY leftover from DS that we really wouldn't use them and we don't have anywhere to put them. I know that sounds ungrateful, but gifts that aren't helpful SUCK!

Congrats, shellbell! I'm so happy you're doing well and baby is here! Can't wait to read your story
musicallyinclined - Wait. A food shower?! Yes please! That sounds awesome! Hope it's fun!
loves2shop4shoes - I hate to sound like 'that' person, but you should nap while you can. It gets, shall we say, harder to find the time once baby is here. But then again I was totally that new mom that slept when the baby slept so it's possible!
