QOTW: Have you noticed parts of your or your SO's personality that your little has taken on? Or, if your little is too young for that question, what parts of your or your SO's personality are you hoping gets passed on?
Milestones: I dunno. He's been sick so he hasn't been doing very much
Challenges: I think he may have a yeast infection in his do area from being on antibiotics. Sigh. Also, he has been full of loss and vinegar, deciding to do all the things he is not supposed to. It's been a rough week.
Funny/cute story: When H comes home, he starts getting super excited and crawls sorry fast to me to wait on his daddy. He laughs and squeals.
How are you? I need a break like I need air. I'm feeling really worn out and tired of my baby and I hate that. Ugh! I wish we had family close by. I'd drop him off and go be for a bit.
QOTW: Have you noticed parts of your or your SO's personality that your little has taken on? Or, if your little is too young for that question, what parts of your or your SO's personality are you hoping gets passed on? Omg, he had major attitude. He has his dad's soft heart, but my attitude. It's like dealing with a compassionate monster; or, probably more appropriate, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He can already back talk with the best of em and he doesn't have words yet. I'm doomed, I know it.
I have been absolutely horrible at this. We have had a lot going on. I will try and get better lol.
Age: 6.5 months
Milestones: Really starting to laugh, rolling everywhere, sitting really well (where I can now leave the room and I have the confidence that she got it), reaching out to people when she wants to be held.
Challenges: Well, we had a hospital stay for RSV so there has been that. But all is good now. Our real challenge is she wont go to sleep for anyone else but me (excluding DC). I have workouts on Monday evenings so DH is in charge of bedtime since it is at 7:30 and I don't get home til 8:15ish. Well last night I walked in the door with DH having his hand on his forehead, HK was screaming in her crib, and DH stating that my baby was evil..... He fed her, she screamed, he finally got her calmed down in the swing, and then the transfer failed miserably and never recovered. I got home and just sat with her in the chair in her room and less than 2 minutes she was gone lol.
Funny/cute story: She really is a mamma's girl (can't complain). Was at a friends house and I left the room to go get a drink while my BFF held her. As soon as I walked back in the room she started bouncing up and down, squealing, and tried scooting in my direction. She does the same even if DH is holding her.
How are you? I am good....now. When they admitted her in the hospital for RSV I was a complete and total mess. When in admitting and even when we got up to the room and had the initial discussion with the doctors, I was just short of sobbing. Everyone there was so nice and kept reassuring me that she would be fine, which I had to explain that it wasn't her it was the whole process of being in a children's hospital which is where our son died (for the record it was not the same children's hospital and not even in the same town). While they were trying to help, their sympathy just made it worse.. I quickly fell back in hospital routine and was fine but it was really rough for me for a bit with all the triggers. HK was a rockstar and never needed oxygen or an IV, just breathing treatments and monitoring so it was a short 3 day stay.

Or, if your little is too young for that question, what parts of your or your SO's personality are you hoping gets passed on? OMG. Her expression are so much like DH's, everyone thinks she looks just like him when in reality she looks like me but with his expressions. She has a killer mean mug. She is very social and a ham which is more me.

Milestones: getting more stable while standing, getting up on her knees more often as she scoots around.
Challenges: she's got a UTI and the meds aren't working. I feel like we're at the doctors office every other day lately.
Funny/cute story: last night h came to bed the same time we were going to bed and when I laid her down she said Dada in this really cute high pitched almost squeal. It was adorable.
How are you? Doing alright. Had to cancel my podiatrist appointment this morning because the babysitter was late, so that sucked. But I guess I'll just try again next week.
QOTW: Have you noticed parts of your or your SO's personality that your little has taken on? Or, if your little is too young for that question, what parts of your or your SO's personality are you hoping gets passed on? I have no idea. I guess I hope she gets my independence and my husbands confidence.
Milestones: Still just working on fork and spoon skills. He's talks A LOT now too (no actual words yet).
Challenges: Sleep has been hit or miss yet, but better than it was last week. He's been tantrum city but that's nothing new with him.
Funny/cute story: If you're friends with me on IG you probably saw this already, but he now likes to blow raspberries onto the couch. It's equal parts hilarious and gross.
How are you? I'm good. I've actually been quite productive so far this week.
QOTW: He's got my introverted shyness around others, and he does a happy dance for food like I do (ha). He's pretty chill generally which I think he gets from my H.
Milestones: DD has really good head control and has been smiling and giggling.
Challenges: getting her to nap in the crib/pack-n-play. She has gotten used to sleeping on me and will wake up when laid down.
Funny/cute story:
How are you? Doing good, have to go back to work soon which I'm not ready for.
