I think we are done with the baby bath. He took a bath with ds1 tonight and did great. He was splashing all the water out of the baby bath so I think we are moving on!

We've been doing baths in the regular bath with big sister since about 3 or 4 months. They love it!
I need to bite the bullet and see how they do together in the big tub or at the very least a laundry basket in the big tub. I'm still bathing them individually in the baby tub. Tonight I was SOAKED after G's bath. He realized he can splash a much wider radius with his arms than his legs.
I still go in the tub with him. It's easier on my back. I wanted to try the laundry basket thing but he's such a climber I don't think it's a good match for us.
DH does bathtime so I will let him decide when it's time to let go of the baby tub. She does seem quite content to sit in it and play with her toys so it may be a while!

I haven't tried the big tub yet because DS wasn't a strong sitter for a while. I think he's good enough to try it now though. Until now we have put the blue baby tub inside the big tub. It's a pain in the neck (and back). I'd really like to put that big blue tub into storage.
greysonsmom we've been big tub for a while too because of his love for swimming. F and R take a bath together. I usually get in with them because I'm a nervous nelly and I have to be referee when r is trying to climb all over his big brother.
Pickles. My kid loves sucking on pickle spears. Is that normal for a 8 month old? We hold them for him so he doesn't choke but he LOVES them. Can't get enough.
I would love to move DD to the regular tub, but DH taught DS this fun trick where he pees into the drain before his bath time. Why would you do that, DH?? So now I have to unteach him that habit so I can put DD in there.

I think some babies love sour stuff. My friend's daughter used to love pickles and she'd also suck on lemon wedges.

Tried the big tub for the first time last night. L was perfect, as expected. She just sat and chewed on bath toys the whole time. G, however, is going to give me a heart attack. He kept flinging himself forward to grab at the drain, his sister, a bath toy and definitely hit his head on the side of the tub as I was catching him so he didn't face plant in the water. Oye. I'll be getting a no slip mat for the tub...but I may try a laundry basket next time and see if it's any better for containing his crazy.

haha oh no! I'm sure it was stressful for you, but the image of one chill child and one dare devil one is making me laugh a little. Hopefully the laundry basket works!

Haha, I'm so glad she's so chill. If I had 2 crazies I may have already lost my mind! 😄

I wonder how their personalities will evolve as they grow! DD is pretty chill and loves to just sit and check things out - I am always wondering if that trait will stick with her!
