joy there were some very kind little old ladies who also left behind me and sat with me outside while I regrouped. It happened so quickly that I literally said nothing. I just stood up and left.
Good. GOOD. I'm glad there were people who supported you present.
I cannot run out and march for everything, but this is my hot button topic. I'll march a thousand miles if it means that this happens to no one else. And I'll stand up for anyone that this is happening to in my presence.
shanny!!! I've been thinking about you and R so much this month. How's the family?
My dr's practice did seminars every weekend this month for CHD awareness. Many people told their stories both as previous heart babies and heart parents. It was amazing.

This is irrational, but I got fired up today. I have a family member who just had baby #2 at 20. Not in a serious relationship, no job, lives at home, doesn't take care of herself, or kid #1, but had 2 healthy pregnancies. I take care of myself and was induced 7 weeks early after a week in the hospital. Like I said, my anger is irrational, and I'm not looking for anything, but I just don't get it.

Sakinah I'm so sorry that happened. I'm just in shock that things like this are still happening in 2017. Thankfully there are still some decent people out there who stood up for you.

I've had those feelings before.
I'm glad to know I'm not alone.
Meanwhile DS is working on his first tooth. He just started sleeping through the night consistently a week and a half before, now he's up every 3-4 hours again. And man that thing is sharp! He keeps chewing on my finger, ouch! But he's so damn smiley and it kills me. He started giving kisses (and he only gives them to me and his toys with faces), so I feel pretty special.

Sakinah that is so terrible - I'm glad there were people there to help you, but I am so outraged that it happened. The Muslim community has an ally in me.
After the St Louis Jewish cemetery was defaced (more than 100 gravestones were toppled or defaced), the Muslim community raised over $60,000 to support its repair. Now, more than ever, our communities need each other. As American religious minorities, our communities have faced such bigotry and hatred. This administration has emboldened the white supremacists to new levels of anger. I am grateful for the support and allyship of the Muslim community, and I am proud to be an ally, too.

pbandjelly I get a lot of those feelings as well. Mine are mostly around how easily that person for pregnant when we had to do ivf. I think its totally normal to feel that way sometimes.

@pnandjelly, oh ya I have all those feelings and some jealously of people who have a easy worry free pregnancy no matter the age. I would do anything to go back pre losses and IF to to experience a full term pregnancy. My cousin is 19 an KUd a girl and I just can't handle irresponsible people having a easy time getting KU.

Hi ladies, I feel like its been a while that I added much to this board. Its been crazy here. Last weekend was the babies baptism here in Germany (we are doing another when we come to Canada in a month) packing and getting ready for that always takes alot. Then baby girls godmother stayed with us until wed. Which is always nice to have company. But it's also a bit stressful.
This weekend MH leaves for Japan for a week so getting him ready for that and me trying to hold it together for being by myself with the twins for a week. I have been a bit overwhelmed to say the least. Then soon i will have to start packing for a 3 week trip to Canada. Whike trying not to pack too much so that we have room to bring presents back.
And now to add to that I think I offended my neighbour (who is a major help to me) becasue I took baby girl from her and sterilised her hands when she was playing with my neighbours face who has a cold sore. I get cold sores too and fear so much that the babies will catch them. I am major paranoid about it. But what could I do I mean baby girl always puts her hands in her mouth. The neighbour said she would come back down and that was a hour ago.
This is totally rambly and sorry about that.
Oh and we had the carry cots for our stroller so no car seats. But we have started to use the buggy part for baby boy as he out grew the weight limit on the cot. Baby girl still uses the cot.

My mom is coming this weekend and I'm so excited to see her. She loves about 8 hours away so the last time we saw her was Christmas. She's beyond excited to see DD and I'm sure she'll be bringing her all sorts of stuff since that's her MO.

pbandjelly After losing our DS, I would get very upset hearing about any unwanted or accidental pregnancies. Like, why is it so easy for this person who never even wanted it, but not for us? I think you really can't help those knee-jerk reactions.

Wow, that's a lot!
I think you did the right thing with your neighbor. Maybe she was embarrassed, but I think that's ok.
So, do some babies just never do certain milestones?
I know some babies will skip crawling, for example. But I need more background here.
I've learned a lot of interesting things about development from ds2's physical therapists. Like, from a developmental perspective, they don't like when kids skip steps like crawling. Apparently it affects how the muscle groups work together and could lead to issues later, like fine motor delays. Which, to me, I would never guess a correlation, but then again I am not an OT/PT! But, I know a lot of kids do skip crawling or just do a scooting motion and then walk.

I think I need to call the pedi again in the morning. Ds2's eye looks like he got in a fist fight. It is super red and puffy all around it and looks way worse than when we were there yesterday. Poor baby has been so miserable. Thank goodness for the Ergo.
