Omg I made up for my lazy morning with uber productivity this afternoon thanks to a certain tiny hooman who decided to nap 2 hrs (and counting) I cleaned the downstairs, and the fridge out to make room for cake, food etc. I pulled out the stove and cleaned behind it. Tonight I'll organize the hall closet and some laundry and we should be good for the weekend! Tomorrow I'll pick up all my veggies for dip, and anything else last minute. Party is sunday, I timed it with super bowl by accident but I didn't really think to even check, not that anyone coming actually cares. Maybe my dad....but the party will be over by the time it starts.
Our party is on Saturday. I ordered a tray of chicken tenders from the grocery store for it. The woman taking my order asked if it was for the super bowl. I said, "No, it is for the day before." And she told me I was smart for having my super bowl party a day early. How would that even work?

Ha! That sounds like my ideal Super Bowl party. All the food. None of the sports.

We're apparently hosting a super bowl party this year...
DH came in on the phone last night and I overheard him discussing plans for super bowl at our house with his friend. He got off the phone and I was like, "Sooooo...I guess I need to plan to have people over Sunday?" Men. I don't really mind because it will just be two other couples and they will both brings snacks and their own booze, but dude could have at least muted the phone and asked me first. It'll be fun, I'm just cranky because I'm stressed about hosting two kids birthday parties in less than a month, cleaning/organizing our house so people who've never seen it will be impressed, and because I took a look at our finances today and that always stresses me out.
We officially signed up for the Little Gym. So we have weekly classes now on Thursdays. With two new friends. One of whom is also coming over tomorrow for a play date.

I decided to call and speak to a nurse at our family clinic to see if they had any insight to share RE DD1's cough. She said it couldn't hurt to come see the nurse practitioner so we have an appointment in the morning.
I'm slightly excited to get out of the house even though it's cold out there. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze in a shower first! Also, I am not going to go to bed with the kids tonight because I am really missing adult time. I'm at the point where I will sacrifice a bit of sleep to watch adult TV and eat junk in peace.
dreadpiratebuttercup, are you still here?! I feel like I haven't even seen you liking posts from afar lately. All is well?
Yes, sorry. Things have just been crazier than usual around here what with never ending colds and DH being out of town a lot for work. By the time I get a minute to check in, I just want to go to bed. Hope everyone is doing well around here!
