So, my OBGYN is not concerned about the hole in the abdomen thing. She said it's common for it to be open or have a mass at this stage because things are still moving and closing up. She didn't see anything alarming to her on the U/S. I'm going to have an U/S next week for more in depth look & for potential genetic defects that can be seen on the scan. I did initial genetic testing today, but having twins (even if one dies) thing can throw it off. So, depending on the results, I will either be referred for CVS or Amnio. She told me to not stress or worry and that the other doctor is overly cautious & conservative. So that's where things are. Not good. Not bad. Limbo. Baby A is measuring exactly where they are supposed to be and it looks good according to bedside ultrasound machine. I'll get preliminary results next week..... Baby B has already shrunk down to a baby size of 7 weeks, so it's happening pretty quickly, considering on Monday it was measuring at 8 weeks. So yeah. More waiting.
I'm glad this Dr wasn't as worried or stressed. I hope she's right. Try to not stress (hah!) much until the u/s next week. My thoughts are with you guys 💛
Mom2Ms sorry you're in limbo. Waiting for results blows.
addymac I get cramps off and on and a million other aches in my stomach. I've just convinced myself it's intestinal or stuff moving, stretching, shifting. It's normal
How are you feeling (physically/emotionally)? Good physically. Emotionally not well.
Any appointments or milestones coming up this week? Nope
Do you need any thoughts or prayers? That we get good NT results.
Anything else you'd like to share? I'm going to lose my shit. It's been 2 weeks today since I took the NIPT test. I call nearly every day and today they are closed bc snow. I travel to TX next week for work and my fear was they would call me while I had no one around and was across the country. Here's hoping for tomorrow

yoshijo28 That's so frustrating. 2 weeks is definitely on the very high end of what I've heard. Hope you hear soon and it's all good news.
My 12 week appt was pretty good. So relieved to see the baby flipping around on the screen like a little dolphin. I was so anxious before we could see it and had really worked myself up. The dr had trouble getting a consistent heartbeat BC it was moving so much, but I could see it moving so I didn't freak out.
They set me back based on my 9 week ultrasound, so I'm 11w 6d now. The one concerning thing is that my BP was high, 165/97 for one reading. It usually is way high before I hear the heartbeat, but this time it was similar afterwards. My ob prescribed me 200mg labetalol, is having me do the 24 hour urine collection, and wants a high risk doctor to Co-monitor me. She thinks I have pre-hypertension prior to pregnancy and that it's related to that.
At home tonight my BP was 140/82, so still high. Has anyone else had this at only 12 weeks or been pregnant with hypertension? I'm so scared it's going to turn into preeclampsia and cause problems. Anyone heard anything about safety of labetalol? My Dr assured me it was fine.

I feel you on the waiting for results thing. It's agonizing. FX you get them before you leave!
Sorry for not responding to all your updates sooner ladies! I haven't really had a chance to get online at all up until this weekend, so will do some catching up now!
king26, MH&I have yet to start thinking about pretty much everything .. the only thing we looked into is daycare cause that is something we really can't put off with possible waitlists etc. I think for most other stuff we are waiting till we feel more secure about things.. which isn't quite the case just yet. Your thread from earlier this week was great, made me feel less alone in being clueless *g* I hope your get together with your family this weekend was nice and you had fun announcing the pregnancy! And GL with the NT scan this week!
yellowcat, for me I wouldn't call work relaxing as it actually wears me out every single day to where I fall asleep pretty much right after dinner.. but it is still a bit of a blessing since it keeps my mind off things and doesn't give me much oppertunity to overanalyze things and worry heh. So I get it! GL with your research, what is the subject if I may ask? I am sorry your work is so unfriendly towards pregnancy! And I hear you about freaking out a bit when telling people.. I have been very hesistant telling people (only closest family and some friends know, and work cause I had to tell due to risks at work..) and I just can't get over that feeling. I think I'm going to bite the bullet and make something fun to announce to several of them in a fun way.. then I can't go back heh.
addymac, Yeah I meant to not tell work a little longer but couldn't hold off longer due to risks involved.. I hope you can find a timing that suits you to tell! So glad the NT scan went well! I hope that telling your parents went/will go smoothly and it will help feeling a little closer, without them coming too close to make you feel overwhelmed by it. When are you leaving on your trip?
therealbug, sleeping is definitely my most favorite pastime at the moment! *g* But if that doesn't count, I have to go by watching netflix LOL. I hope your MFM appt went well and the scheduler didn't mess up your NT scan! I got myself a maternity pants a couple of weeks ago already and omgosh so comfi!! Hope you can find some pants that are comfortable and suitable for court!
cali, Ohhh welcome to team Pink!! How neat to already know! Also, I'm so very happy for you that the genetic testing came back good, whoohoo. Hope the NT scan on Friday went smoothly as well. Netflix is my thing right now as well, MH&I have watched so many series lately -- just sucks when you find a good one that they only have 1 season of just yet! What shows have you watched, any suggestions??
@ketchup, enjoy your vacation week! Being away hopefully keeps your mind occupied and makes time pass a bit faster while you wait for your NIPT results. Did they give you an estimate on when you could expect the results?
Gosh Mom2Ms, what a week you've had. Again, I'm so very sorry for the loss of baby B **hugs** and the additional worry about baby A and the SCH on top of that. I hope you are being gentle with yourself. Keeping you in my T&P! Read your other update now, so glad the dr isn't concerned about the abdomen thing, what a relief. I'm sorry you are still in limbo though, I hope you won't have to wait on results and all for too long.
PepperPottsJ, yay for panorama results coming back low risk, what a relief! Good luck with your NT scan tomorrow, hope all goes smoothly!
cravingchocolate05, so sorry you're still dealing with such extreme nausea Mine seems to finally get a bit better, I hope yours will do soon too! I'm 13w2d (omgosh when did that happen??) and haven't felt hardly any stretching either.. Glad to read your appointment Thursday went well! We always ask to go straight to the HB before anything else, to easy our anxiety. I'm sorry about your high BP though, I hope you'll be able to get it under control with the meds. And I'm glad you'll be co-monitored by a MFM!
elliecat17, so good to read your U/S went well and you're feeling pretty good, makes me happy to read:)
yoshijo28 So sorry you had to wait on your NIPT results for so long but I read your update in your other thread and am so glad that all came back in the clear! Now you will be able to go out of town without worry!
AFM, I'll update in this week's check-in which I'm about to post next!
