I got a call that my pump/CGM training is tomorrow morning. I am so nervous. I do not know if I can stick myself with the needle is saw in the box of supplies. I think I'll have a glass of wine tonight to talk me off the ledge.
Today actually wasn't too bad of a Monday. My kids were semi-behaved and I knocked some stuff of my to-do list. The cheer sponsor (well old one I guess) is being rude, and I don't do confrontation well. Gotta put my big girl panties on tomorrow and just confront her.
And neither kid is running a fever or acting sick today! All four eyes are clear, they're not complaining of pain, and they're back to screaming and throwing things. I never thought I'd be so happy to hear the screaming.

After listening to O throw temper tantrums for the last 3 hours he is finally in bed. FX that he falls asleep and the rest of my night will be child free.

Hunter just started with foot stomping tantrums today. Mac has never had big tantrums so this is new to me. It's seriously adorable and I try so hard not to laugh because him stomping around is hilarious looking. This boy is going to be trouble as he gets older, I got so lucky with an easy toddler the first time.

Is a numbing spray an option? We used to fit patients with a 72 hour monitor when I worked in the doctors office and the kit came with a tiny can of numbing spray.
I do not know I can ask. But I am not sure it will actually hurt so much as the thought of it. And then having to do it myself. At least with my progesterone shots dh gave them to me. I need to be responsible for this and not rely on him.

Does anyone else have a kid that pays attention to every.fricken.commercial on tv? I've been asked why we don't use a certain bank, or about investment details or did I know I could get a phone for $11 and a laptop for $40 on DealDash? Lordy, this child (DS1) might have a future in infomercials. He never stops talking.

My parents turned the TV off or changed the channel to something boring during commercials, way back in the 80s. They believed (probably still do) that commercials are actually aimed toward assimilating children to want certain brands.

tcck oh, ex. With his memory issues he may legit not even remember that you've already talked about it. How incredibly irritating to deal with, though, especially since YOUR memory is crystal clear on what all went down.
Hey isn't his medical eval happening this month, finally??

Saaaame. DS has thrown maybe 1 tantrum in his life. Charlotte? Every single day. She throws herself on the floor kicking and screaming.

He absolutely doesn't remember.
And nope. No eval. They scheduled it with the wrong kind of Doctor!!!! So we had to send them a letter, reminding them it had to be a neuropsychologist not a neurologist.

cornpop311 So are you excited at all about the upcoming Deftones, Thrice, Rise Against tour?! That and the Muse/30 Seconds to Mars tour. Yes please! I'm hoping to use some of the voucher credits from Ticket Master.

lynnyloo, you and I had similar days. Across the hall from my office is the behavioral classroom. A student flipped her lid and on the way to the time out room she pooped, explosively in her pants. I don't know all the details but she was stuck in the timeout room for a while waiting for her parent. School smelled like shit literally mixed with chemicals from the custodian emptying whole cans of disinfectant spray.
Something's going on with Henry. He was sick to his stomach yesterday during his nap and seems to be teething but idk. He threw a massive fit when I tried to give him dinner at the table and was just wandering around aimlessly crying and asking for food and then smacking it out of my hand when I gave it to him. He then tried to hulk smash the roomba (lol.) He eventually ate when I put his plate at the coffee table and turned on the tv.. I know I'm creating more bad habits by giving into his tantrum that way but this is so new. I'm actually praying that he's sick and this will end with no real thought on my behalf.
Our house was re-listed today, and we got an e-mail with a hardcore low-ball cash offer. $55K below asking. Good try, people- lol! Our realtor will do some bartering tomorrow, but I highly doubt they're going to be buying our house.
@officedronette, we have playdates at our house pretty frequently, but I ALWAYS have to put away the stroller (and her bitty baby). That thing is a hardcore point of contention among toddlers- LOL!
360blessings, my oldest is the same way. He'll ask us like we're idiots for not switching to so-and-so for cable and such. Sigh. Luckily, we use Netflix most of the time, but the same goes for the radio or billboards. I can definitely get behind a conspiracy that advertising is for kids.
When MH dropped off R at DC today, not only did his teachers lose their minds over how cute R looks with his new haircut, they also told MH, as R wandered to the back of the classroom and stood there alone for awhile, that he's very social and friendly, but every now and then he just needs his space, so he walks off for some alone time. My baby is a little introvert just like his mama! My heart grew three sizes.

Whenever I pick Bill up from daycare and he's sitting alone playing with a puzzle I just watch him. It's nice that even though he looks so much like his dad, I can tell there's a little of me rolling around in there.

FFTuC: I've never been really into any of these bands except Thrice, who I've seen eleventy billion times. I'm also a brat who hates going to shows where tickets are more than like $25.
TBH, I almost only go to tiny venue shows. But I really really want to see Thrice and 30 Seconds to Mars. I think the only concert I've been to where I paid more than $25 was a No Doubt concert, which hello, it's No Doubt!
