I slept terribly again because of this cold and toddler shenanigans. Luckily he's spending the night at my mom's tonight and I'm already counting down the minutes! H and I are going to get sushi!
DS skipped his nap yesterday so it came to no surprise when he started having meltdowns at a superbowl party with about 5 minutes left so we missed the ending of the game. Which of course turns out to be the most exciting part lol.
Don't have much planned today besides a run and yoga.
Do you mind reporting back with what EI has to say? Obviously it's all individually tailored but we have our appointment next Monday and I have no idea what to expect!

Sure. All I know at the moment is this is the meeting with the coordinator and I'll choose an evaluator. I'm currently debating whether to have him evaluated at home or at school (he goes to daycare in a different county so I'm not sure how they handle it)

Nap twins. I think we got a 30-40 minute car nap from him, max. He shocked both of us when he went "night night" before 7pm. I happily obliged with putting him down and he conked right out, still tucked in and all lol (he normally will push off all his blankets and cuddle them instead of leaving them on)
I'm currently enjoying delicious chocolate chip banana bread DW made yesterday... she made it as a dessert, lol, I call it breakfast! I have to be productive today with school work but am having lunch with a friend who is moving back home to Nigeria in a week. So it's sad.
The game last night was insane! I was totally ready to call it quits by half time lol. I'm glad I didn't!

Good Morning! hpnegirl, Good luck with the GTT. I have mine on Thursday morning and I am not looking forward to it.
I'm (im)patiently waiting for Lowes to call to schedule our dishwasher installation. I finally convince MH to use part of of tax refund for a new dishwasher and I'm oddly excited. I'm just over our smelly dishwasher that we have to repair every 6 months (even though it's only 2 years old).

So I know there's at least a couple vegetarians here. I have some questions. So my husband and I are like 90% vegetarians. He probably eats meat 3x a month and I'm like maybe 1x a month. But I want to stop completely because I hate how it makes me feel.
It's usually when we are at someone else's house that I eat it (like last night at a Superbowl party-the only things they had were pulled pork, burgers, hot dogs, little sausages and then chips/dips). I think I'm getting to the point that I'm going to start refusing it altogether. How do you do this in a nice way? Do you let people know ahead of time that you don't eat meat? Do you eat before you go? bring your own dish? What do you do when you visit family? I'm afraid of people getting mad/annoyed at me mostly, but I think I just need to suck it up.
BabyStandish, no one (as far as I know) has ever gotten mad at me about it. Some of my family teases me, but that just ends up with me annoyed, not them I let people know ahead of time, and offer to bring a vegetarian dish. If it's somewhere I can't bring a dish, and I know I'll only have salad and chips as options then I'll eat ahead of time or bring a protein bar to get through.
When I visit family, they usually make a strong effort to make sure there's food for me. There was one Christmas where my MIL (not maliciously) only had super sugary/carby foods I could eat and I crashed hard. But, in general, as long as you aren't around assholes then they'll make the effort and won't be upset about it.
So I got a touch of the stomach bug last week. That was less than fun. Not eating for 48 hours probably wasn't the wisest idea, but really wasn't in the mood to force feed myself. Got to re-learn that dehydration can lead to contractions. Fortunately a really large amount of water and lying down did make them go away pretty quickly....
Kiddo took a rare nap yesterday afternoon. He was acting kinda hyper so we gave him the choice of going for a walk with me or napping. He refused to go for a walk so we told him he had to lie down on the couch with a blanket on him. Before I had my shoes and jacket on, he was asleep.
Forgot to set the alarm last night, so we all woke up at 7:20 rather than 6:30. Fortunately kiddo was actually pretty good about helping this morning and did not fight us every step of the way in getting dressed, eating, etc.
And BabyStandish, I would just let people know that you are now vegetarian, and I recommend bringing something you can eat to potluck type parties. Most people want to make sure their guests are able to eat and shouldn't be offended by your dietary choices. Being aware of them, helps them plan their menus.

icedteajennyelf thanks! I think last night was a lesson for me. For some reason I just expected there to be at least a veggie tray or something available. So I think next time I'll just bring my own dish
The only thing I can think of is the chicken we ordered. I haven't talked to my friends to see if any of them got sick but H is immunosuppressed so I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else is fine.
I don't understand the people in I didn't know I was pregnant. It is amazing to me. Even with an anterior placenta the kid is like an octopus. I can't for the life of me figure out what position he is in to feel simultaneous movements all over the place. I had a hard time falling asleep last night because of it, it was cute though. If I thought that I was gas I would have gone to the ER, that would be the craziest gas bubbles ever maybe some babies are super quiet.
sagen Sometimes I think the people in those shows are just in serious denial. I mean, I can understand maybe getting into your second tri without knowing if you are lucky and have minimal symptoms but how can you not notice the movement?!
sagen a woman I know didn't find out she was pregnant until late second tri... she went in for a dating scan and discovered she was already at 28 weeks.
If I remember correctly, she has an autoimmune disorder and complained about feeling shitty to her doctor, who brushed it off until finally doing blood work. She also was told she'd never conceive on her own nor would she ever carry without help. Lo and behold, she has Irish triplets 😳

I knew someone who didn't know she was pregnant. She was fairly overweight and always had very irregular periods. She didn't find out until she went to the ER with severe stomach cramps that turned out to be labor. It just blew my mind that she had no idea.
I want to say the person I knew was on the depo shot. She was a bit overweight, so between that and believing the shot had her covered, she made it till about the end. She was really nervous since she was drinking/etc the whole time, not knowing. But her daughter is fine.
@rosesquard- banana bread is totally breakfast food.
I know two different stories of women not knowing they were pregnant. They both ended up giving birth while on holidays out of the country. It's crazy that they couldn't tell with all the movement etc..
I had a horrible hormonal day yesterday and stormed away from DH for suggesting something about the kitchen. I ended up taking a nap but was still super grumpy. I know I overreacted. Thankfully DH took DS to the birthday party without me so I got some alone time.

For the past 2-3 weeks I have been getting a sharp pain on the lower right front of my abdomen when I walk at least once a day. It almost feels like when you have a stitch in your side but lower and more toward the front. It keeps getting worse until I sit down, which makes it pretty much go away, but I have to stay sitting for a little while for it not to come back as soon as I stand up. The only thing I can think of is RLP. Has anyone else experienced this?
lastkiss I am having one of those today. Had a fight with DH (really more of just a frustrated"why can't you just let me talk" episode) but I cried for 20 minutes and I'm still not over. A part of me knows it's irrational but I'm still upset. I don't like feeling out of control of my emotions.
Today's agenda is pretty chill. I'm making dinner for a friend with a newborn and doing chores if I feel like it. Right now I'm watching to kids play on our back porch. DD just ate some sidewalk chalk so maybe I should be watching more closely.
