I participate a lot in the politics thread in Parenting, and I know a few ladies in here have participated too.
I wasn't very active in there this past weekend, just wanted to take a break from it. I went back and read some of the posts this morning and there was a lot of strategy being discussed about future elections, moving forward, how to defeat Trump just in general, etc. All of the strategy talk and what went wrong to lead us here got me thinking about what I have learned since Election Day. One thing that I think got lost in this election cycle and those prior was the ability for everyone to come out of their respective bubbles a little bit. I am guilty of it, too - even with people I fall in line with on the political spectrum. I don't think our "bubbles" only mean where we fall politically (it is so much more than that) - sometimes our bubble is defined as simply the town we live in; Our experiences and how we view people may stem directly from that. It's hard to know how someone else lives on the other side of the country, in a type of setting that is 100% the opposite of my own.
Anyway, I think this election has caused us all, no matter how right-leaning or liberal-leaning, or moderate we are, to take a step back and re-examine.
So I am wondering, what have you learned? What are some of your biggest "A-ha" moments since the election and DT took office? How do you plan to move forward?
