I decided to try the snuggle nest bassinet that someone got us. Putting her directly in it resulted in a melt down, but I fed then swaddled and let C fall asleep on me (for a while, I dozed off) before transferring to it, and she's still there. So we're at a 4 hour stretch. Now I need to make the grown up decision and wake up my baby or let her keep sleeping? Ugh. I hate waking her up.
I'm up. Giving W a bottle of formula so he will settle and I can get a quick nap in before have to pump again. And what is DH doing? Snoring next to me. I'm stabby.
Climbing into bed, R has been asleep for 45 minutes but I putzed around and took a shower. Hoping for a long stretch like we had last night. Sleepy dust to all the babies!

Well, I tried to have some me time tonight but that failed...like always. Ran a too hot (read: glorious) bubble bath, locked the bathroom door to keep D1 out, and watched an episode of Scandal. All of which was interrupted by DS1 banging on the door and reaching under it, W crying with H, H not fixing whatever was wrong and therefore ending up pounding on the door to tell me to fix it. I swear, the man refuses to acknowledge the milk stash in the freezer and it makes me stabby. On the other hand, by the time W was brought to me, the water was cooled significantly so I nursed in the bathtub and then washed him up. He's currently hanging out, wide awake which is fine. Maybe he'll sleep for more than two hours later.
Just finishing up our first feeding for the night. I'm fairly certain that the problems I was having was from my let down not letting down. All of a sudden our feeding times have dropped to the 20-30 min time range and BFing is much less painful, with no latch issues in 2 days. I think she had to work for every drop before.
Hugs ladies and I hope we all have good long stretches tonight!
It's 12:30, C passed out while eating I burped her and put her in bassinet passed out. Here's hoping she gives me a few hours at least. See you most likely sooner than later.
PS : H is still awake in bed next to me and we can try to cuddle tonight. My apt is t until Friday and someone's getting antsy... hint* it's not me...
Although it's a little bit me but like 90% not me. 😂
That was fun while it lasted we got another hour in the snuggle nest thing. Maybe. Back on the boob and I'm making the executive decision to keep her there tonight. Rome wasn't built in a day.
pibblemom and geauxtigers79 I know, I'm a little surprised too lol. But he was giving me snuggles and I just started thinking .. hmm., I hope I get cleared Friday.. lol
Oh, if you can't tell by my replying to comment, that lasted 38 min and she's back on boob again. And H was like "aww so much for snuggles " and I was like "aren't you glad we weren't doing something x-rated?" 😂
It's 1:15. I already decided that if I can't get her to sleep tonight, I'm going to do something I have never done with the other kids and let her sleep on my chest tonight. Because I need sleep.

So I'm in the living room feeding B and DD screams "Mama" several times and the last few times sounds really scared. Keep in mind she sleeps with us, so H is right there with her. The screams subside to sobs and I get up with B and go in to comfort her. Yea, I'm looking at your snoring ass H. Dude, you're right there, comfort the kid.

Rehome.
And then get a puppy.
No puppies, they'll only wake you up another time at night! Maybe an adult dog would be a fair trade though
Dd sounds like a frat boy right now. Chug chug chug. There's going to be some interesting burps or spit up. It's making me feel like my fast let down from last time is back.

We don't get "cleared" here. The midwives just tell you to wait until your PP bleeding is over.
biscotto they just do a basic belly check and if you aren't bleeding anymore you're good to go after 6 weeks- however they told me to for sure wait because I have a history of uterine infection due to placenta left behind so if they think there's something to be considered they might do an ultrasound like they did after L.
Praise the lord, we got sleep! H finally got her down and she did a 5 hr stretch. I just don't know why it took her almost 2 hrs to finally decide to sleep. Oh please let it not take that long after this feeding.
Ugh sorry. I'm likely going to be up for another couple hours. She keeps writhing around, crying, won't eat on the other side. She's burped and i keep trying to burp and nothing.
