I couldn't keep up with the thread yesterday because it was so fast, so I'm happy to get in early today lol.
My TMI is that I'm so over the post partum bleeding. My ladybits are so sore from constant pad contact. I'm living dangerously today and going with just a liner.
Also - what's for dinner? I've been super uncreative lately. There's only so many times I can get DH to bring home chipotle before I start feeling like DD will turn into a cheese quesadilla.

I'm having this soup with a baguette. Easy, healthy and at least 2 days worth of food.
ETA: With some modifications such as using canned diced tomatoes.

DS2 only woke up twice last night. Which is crazy to me. But the pedi told us he can sleep all he wants at night. For comparison, DS1 woke up 2-3 times until he was almost a year and woke up every 45 minutes to an hour as a newborn. Also DS1 woke up at 5 cried for about 40 minutes and the fell asleep again til almost 8. Which is also crazy. My boys are surprising me.
ellabee, I am also over PP bleeding even though it hasn't been a week for me. I'm also over the pp cramps. I didn't have them with DS1 for this long or this bad.

Mmmm thanks for the rec! I love me some Alton brown. 😊
Has anyone thought about cloth postpartum pads? A friend of mine made me a set and I'm looking forward to not using disposables this time around.
I'm interested because I think there would be less irritation, but I don't want to invest in getting some just for the PP period. I'd use them if I had them though.
ellabee I've found that changing the type and kind of pad has helped with the discomfort. During the day I wear a shorter pad and save the super long ones for nighttime.
musicallyinclined I was not prepared for the cramping. It was bad this weekend -- like wrapping around my back. They're mostly gone now, so hopefully the end is in sight for you.

We pretty much lived on chipotle after DS was born. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was the first meal we had at home, and we also picked it up after his tongue tie revision at 6 days old.
Just got to work from my appointment. "Almost a 2 but not quite". Everything looks good though. I'll get an ultrasound next week to check on the size of this babe and we will make a plan from there.
It's supposed to be 75 degrees here today. I am hoping to leave work early and take DD on a walk later.

I don't really have a new tmi. Hemmorhoids are awful.
F had a bad night of coughing. We had to change the sheets and him once because he made himself puke. I hate coughs. Poor guy.
I have to take my indoor/outdoor cat to the vet this afternoon, so of course she wants to be outside. I've basically told everyone not to let her out - and she's not happy. She's currently hiding upstairs, so hopefully I can find her when it's time to go.
It's supposed to be almost 60 today - unfortunately it's supposed to rain, so we probably won't be able to enjoy it. This is the weirdest winter. I keep telling H that we'll get our one big snow storm and THAT will be the day that the baby decides to come.

Ugh, so not looking forward to post partum bleeding and soreness. FFTC: I don't dread labor and delivery, it's one day and I can get an epidural. But the weeks of recovering/bleeding, that's the part I dread. Uuuugh.
People talking about pp cramping. I've heard that gets worse with each pregnancy/baby.
Not much going on here today. Living the bedrest dream over here. 😳
I'm jealous of the warm weather. Is snowing here, which means I probably won't venture out with B today. I'm finding that the biggest drawback to having a winter babe in New England. With DD I got to walk her every day in the stroller on my leave. This time around I'm feeling a bit cooped up.

My second baby isn't even here yet and this is my fear with applesauce and Mac n cheese at my house. I've semi given up on dinner. Yesterday dd was shoveling peas in her mouth and I could have cried from joy. Thank the lord a vegetable!!

I am pretty jealous of the good weather ppl are having, we have snow potentially coming tonight. But! Then I'm predicting we're done with winter. It's supposed to be upper 40's and low 50's for like the next 9 days after. I desperately want to get outside! Poor dd is like yeah it's cold, I still wanna go out!! And I pretend not to hear her 😐

Add me to the warm weather club. It's supposed to be mid-60s today. Then, on Thursday, we're supposed to get a few inches of snow. Greeeeaaaaat...
My last OB appointment and NST are today! I can't believe this is all coming to a close.
And it's my birthday, which I'm not that excited about. MH is still getting over a cold and I'm mega-pregnant AND have to work. Meh, maybe I'll fib and tell work the OB wants me to rest the remainder of the day and go home LOL

This is what I'm worried about - we went for walks every day and it felt so good to get outside in the fresh air. I hope March is warm this year. I might go crazy if we're stuck inside forever!
shawnabm1320 We found that a dose of benadryl at bedtime helps with Miss G's cough (from goop and drainage). I was up only once with her last night for an hour max. The night before I was up with her for at least three hours before I thought of benadryl. She breathed easier and slept better after it kicked in.

Dumb FTM question: Is it unsafe to take babies for walks in winter weather? I was planning on walking as long as it wasn't extreme cold (basically below freezing or high winds). I have a baby snowsuit, a JJ Cole BundleMe, and warm blankets.

I was wondering the same thing. My stroller is itching to be used and he isn't even here yet!
