Is anyone following a "schedule" yet? With DD I did the EASY schedule and it worked well for her. I just can't recall when I started... B loves falling asleep on the boob so i feel like I'm nursing more than necessary during the day just to get him to nap.

No real schedule although F is fairly consistent. I'm planning on trying harder to get him to not nurse to sleep, ds1 would only fall asleep that way for like 2 years.

ellabee, no real schedule yet but like MissDemeanor, B is pretty predictable: up every two hours, like clock work then eat, look around for a bit, sleep, repeat.

I'm trying to establish a routune/pattern but accept the time things happen is totally variable. I was definitely misreading tired cues as hungry and nursing more frequently/to sleep. I'm now able to get him to sleep after his few awake periods by rocking or in the ergo.
I kind of use the Easy approach but right now it's more ES,ES,ES with an occaisional EAS thrown in there. not so many Ys yet though...

I guess F is very predictable. Even MOTN he wakes up at about the same times, within 20 minutes either way. For now I plan to just kind of follow his patterns, and work on more specific sleep and eat times... later? I truly can't remember when we can start this

We're more EAST than EASY here. The T being for toddler.
The activity is occasionally laying on the floor kicking his legs

Goldfish crackers are a treat for the toddler. We try not to give them to her too often at home though, because her Daycare lady basically feeds them to her intravenously all day every day.
But I've eaten a whole package in the past two days. So now, I can't even use them as a bribe for her to behave tonight.
Hi ladies! I'm currently enjoying a double nap and mh is at lowes, loving the alone time. I should probably be cleaning or folding my mountain of laundry but I'm sitting eating cookies and watching the bachelor. We went to Chick-fil-A for lunch and let dd in the play place for the first time. We learned that she is too young, she fell a few times and the other kids playing were much older than her. Apparently when she was on the slide one of the kids pushed her off and said "not for babies". Mh decided that was the time to leave. Guess we'll try again in a year or so.

I didn't even consider that this could be a thing. Ugh. This is exactly how C falls asleep every time.
pibblemom I wouldn't worry about it for now. No need to start thinking about removing sleep associations for many more months yet. For now it's whatever works!

I can't even wrap my head around a schedule yet
Exactly this. I am just thinking ahead for myself. My son didn't sttn until after I stopped nursing at 2 1/2. But hes always been a crappy sleeper

I would probably benefit from having a schedule myself, but so far I just go on her cues. It's 4:30 and I'm just finishing up my own lunch because we were up from 330-530 and didn't get out of bed til almost 10. I'll get the hang of this mom thing. I'm lucky to have all of you STMs who at least have a semblance of an idea of what you're doing!

N gave me an almost 5 hour stretch last night but it was punctuated by my old alarm clock mysteriously going off at midnight. I blame DS. I was so confused about what was beeping. Thankfully N roused but went back to sleep.
Then she went back to sleep after her 6:30 feed and we slept until almost ten, very much needed. And I got a shower today, so today has been pretty awesome in baby land.
N is 3 weeks today. 7lbs 12oz. Up 12oz since last week!!

I'm lucky he's so consistent because I have no plans to implement a schedule any time soon. His routine works well for me and he's sooo much easier than DS1 (probably just jinxed myself)
W is getting his tongue and lip tie revision done tomorrow. I'm hoping that this will help with the nursing issues and we get it figured out and I can start working getting him back on the boob exclusively.

DH has been doing basically all the parenting of DS since I can't lift him and he gets up early, so I haven't been pressing him much on baby care. I find just point blank asking / stating works best "hold her while I pee" "can you bring her & the RNP out here?" "Can you change her so I can finish eating?"
He's also still doing all the meal prep and house chores so overall I'm happy with him.

DS used to nurse to sleep but we did some moderate CIO (no more than ten minutes, he was 4 months) and he learned to go to sleep. But so far both of my kids are good sleepers so YMMV.

DH jokingly said I was giving the toddler lunch today. Well, baby was asleep so I did. I could tell DH felt a little bad but also enjoyed the break. He's a light sleeper so every time baby wakes up MOTN he wakes up, and he rarely naps so I know he's tired these days. It's all give and take and also knowing this phase is temporary.

This is my plan. I won't worry about sleep associations because I plan to sleep train sometime between 4 and 6 mo. It worked wonders for DS and improved everyone's quality of life.
This has nap time written all over it. She's been out for 20 mins or so bc I didn't believe it. Any more and I feel like I'll be missing precious, beautiful sleep time.

So H confirmed mil is in for watching E two days a week when I go back to work. Yay now to figure out the other 3 days. I noticed today E is drooling a bit not sure why but she is otherwise happy. H had an Amazon order arrive today and includes was a wipe warmer. I swore I would never own one. H thinks she hates the cold wipes and doesn't want her to cry. He is already spoiling her so much.
No real schedule just yet. I can almost predict her eating every 3 hrs or so. What is the y in EASY? I know the others.
