Milestones: DD has really good head control and is very alert and interested in her surroundings
Challenges: getting DD to nap in her crib/pack n play
Funny/cute story: I took DD to a mommy/baby group this morning. DD was very alert and was smiling and giggling at the baby boys.
How are you? I'm doing okay. I have to go back to work next week which I'm not ready for.
QOTW: Do you have anything planned for valentine's day next week? Date night? Gifts for your SO or your little? I got DD a valentines onsie, I haven't decided what to get DH
Challenges: She's still acting sick and not putting out much urine. I'm still really worried about her.
Funny/cute story: I've been trying to get her to listen to no commands when she pulls my hair. Usually I tell her no and she cries for a minute. The other day I told her no and she laughed at me. It has begun.
How are you? Overwhelmed and exhausted.
QOTW: Do you have anything planned for valentine's day next week? Date night? Gifts for your SO or your little? Nothing planned. We might go out for doughnuts if the weather is nice enough for a walk.
Milestones: He's started dancing! It's freaking adorable. He said eat this morning, which was surprising!
Challenges: Holy temper tantrum, Batman! I swear it's ridiculous. We average about 6 a day and it's exhausting.
Funny/cute story: He began like a dog whenever any of us eat. I swear he is a bottomless pit. I dunno where he puts it all. He had TWO dinners lady night!!!
How are you? I'm OK. Got my hair cut today, which is nice. H may lose his job come may. We are stressed about that possibility. He will have another job, but it means moving to another state and he will be gone 250 days out of the year. So not exactly ideal.
QOTW: Do you have anything planned for valentine's day next week? Date night? Gifts for your SO or your little? No. H always works on bday. W and I may do a mommy date night.
mommytoava the pack n play was always a struggle for us, and I couldn't get him to nap properly in the crib until like 4 months, I don't remember. Keep trying, it's tough!
megrae12 the baby dances are the best! And I hear you on the bottomless pit. This kid eats as much as I do throughout the day. I don't even know. And sorry about the job situation. I hope things work out okay. 250/365 days solo parenting sounds really not fun.

Definitely not my idea of fun since we will literally be on our own.
@led sick babies are so stressful. Sending healing vibes your way!
Age: 7 months
Milestones: Up on all fours and rocking, sitting unassisted very well now.
Challenges: Poor girl cannot catch a break. First HFM 3 weeks ago, now pneumonia. I had her in to the doctor today, after taking her to urgent care on the weekend where they told me she was fine. We now have antibiotics and an inhaler 4x/day. I hope she gets better soon.
Funny/cute story: Girl gets some serious 'roid rage from the albuterol and was wound right up today. This afternoon instead of napping she was rolling around on the floor with the blanket over her head squealing at the top of her lungs.
How are you? Ok, getting worn down by tired babies but it's 8:40 pm here and DD2 has been sleeping for 1.5hrs. That's the first time I can say that for 3 weeks so I see the light!
QOTW: DH and I never go out on V-day, but *around* it because we aren't into crowds. We are going away this Saturday for the evening to dinner, a hockey game and a hotel night away. Our first in over 2 years!
Milestones: He took a few steps the other night but hasn't and won't repeat it. He now knows "belly" and "toes." His vocabulary (understanding) has actually picked up a lot all of a sudden, but he still won't say anything himself.
We tried our first gym class last week. It was a lot of fun, and it'll be good to socialize. We signed up for the rest of the season.
Challenges: Not much. Just the usual tantrums. He's really into his independence lately and gets frustrated when he can't do things.
Funny/cute story: When he's tired now (like for naps) he'll come over and put his head down on my chest. My heart melts.
How are you? I'm good. Been tired lately though. I just signed us up for swim classes in April, so I've got two months to get rid of this gut and find a suit that's flattering on this shit (cue laughter).
QOTW: Nothing planned for me and my H. I did get some candy for us, plus some egg crayons and a coloring book for the kid. I'm going to make the old school paper bag valentine's bags for us all, lol. And I might make some heart shaped maple grahams for him too.
Thank you for posting this tkford216! Should I start posting next week?
Age: 28 week/6 months 2 weeks
Milestones: he is sitting up a lot better and last night I left him on his play mat to go help L with something and I came back and S had moved like a foot and a half away from the spot he was in! H said he saw him scooting on his belly. I am part proud and part panick mode because I didn't think he was ready to move yet!!
Challenges: teething but that's it
Funny/cute story: He hates the crinkly white paper at the Dr's office and will cry every time he is put down on it but as soon as you pick him back up he is fine and happy! He just hates that paper.
How are you? Ok, super stressed out about other things but I am trying to deal.
QOTW: Do you have anything planned for valentine's day next week? Date night? Gifts for your SO or your little? No plans, our anniversary is the week after but either way we have no plans. H will be taking L to the allergist for allergy testing on valentines.
