I didn't see a Tuesday thread yet. What is everyone up to? We had our first snow day of the year yesterday where it snowed so heavily they closed all the schools and the airport. We have a wall of snow around our house.
H brother was supposed to stay with us for a week but he got stranded in Vancouver because the airport closure. Hopefully he gets in today.
Heading to a play group at 930 today with the kids.

Spent the morning at a school, now back at the office, contemplating what's for lunch.
Had a call last night from the most obnoxious, rude, speech therapist I have ever spoken to, to try to "set up" a time to come see M. No, lady, 8:30 on a Monday night is not an OK time to come see a 19 month old. When I asked what two days she had available in her schedule, she said she wouldn't have accepted the case if she didn't have the availability. So, I politely asked her again and she said why don't I come on Friday and we'll decide then. Umm, not if that means you tell me on Friday you don't have time in your schedule to see him. Then that's another two weeks wasted without services. Why waste your time and mine?? Back to the drawing board again.
Gianna woke up super early this morning right before my alarm (she usually sleeps til 7:30-8 on weekdays). She was being adorable and wanted to snuggle and give me eskimo kisses so it was extra hard to get ready, especially when she got upset every time I got out of bed. As nice as it is to snuggle and talk to her in the morning before work, it's much easier and quicker if she's still asleep!
holliberry28, that is so frustrating! Does she have a supervisor you could call to make a complaint?
I could but I don't want to put the energy into that. If other people are happy with her services, fine. I'm just not and told my service coordinator to look for someone else.
It's pouring and I'm in a bad mood. It's CD 1, and I posted on the other board, but I called our RE, and her first appointment is about nine weeks away. I remembered she had long wait times, but yeesh. Then I'm guessing there will be at least one testing cycle we'll need to wait through before getting on with doing a transfer. I forgot how much waiting comes with infertility. Oh well. I'm letting myself feel sorry for myself today, and then hopefully moving on again.
I did treat myself to some Starbucks after lunch. It helped.

And, they assigned another Speech! She's monolingual English, but I'd rather that. Every russian speech therapist I've personally encountered here only cares about the $$. I"m sure they're are ones that are actually professionals, I just haven't met them yet.
So...I don't think I said anything here yet, but DH accepted a new position and will be flying again. You guys need to keep me sane while he's gone for training for two weeks straight.
Congrats to your H, alayne926 ! Hopefully those two weeks fly by!
Thankfully it's not until the 27th.
Trying to think of ways to make things easier on the kids. Especially DS. A friend of ours has a map and an put it on a cork board and they "follow" daddy around the map with an airplane pushpin.
::waves hi:: Anyone knows how to effectively clean the straps of car seat? C vomited all over her car seat on Sunday and I washed all the cover and wiped the straps a zillion times with Lysol but the smell is still there ! Can we remove then somehow? Urgh let me tell you that the smell of 2 days old vomit is not the best in the mornings 🤢 !!
@poppyc8 I've seen how much snow your area-ish has gotten! I have relatives over there posting nutso pics. I'm just over here stuck in frozen as ballsville with michyme123 but with a much nicer forecast ahead this weekend on phew!
So we made Valentines cards for mine and H's parents and my grandma this morning. I got DS to sign the back of each one and while there was a lot of coaching I am super impressed with the results! His preschool and gymnastics teachers have been giving him so much praise the last couple weeks at how hard he's trying at things. His preschool teacher straight up came squealing out of the room yesterday at pickup just gushing about something he did she was so excited. I can see how hard his little brain is working lately and it's making for some epic for him tantrums at home (that I'm finding really hard to deal with..deep breaths) but seeing the results of his efforts lately is definitely proud moments and I can see where his mental exhaustion is coming from.
I hope the new one works out for you, holliberry28! We officially started "speech" today, although we see a developmentalist until she's 2. I really like her so far!
I'm making a birthday cake for my h to take to work tomorrow (his birthday is Friday but it's potluck day at their staff meeting) and listening to LO not take a nap. Super fun!
I have been having a few of these days lately where I am craving time to myself. LO, the master of routines, has been following my evening routine with me every night. It is cute but annoying because he usually moves on to the next step of my routine before I get there. While I am pulling my hair into a pony tail, Ball! Ball! because I wash my face using cotton balls. Then while I am washing my face, pulling out his toothbrush and toothpaste so he can start brushing his teeth. And it continues for a few more things.

This is us in the morning, but he waits for me to move to the next step. Floss, teeth brush, moisturizer, mouthwash (I pretend to pour it in for him), deodorant (pretend to spray while making pssssshhh noise), lotion.
Along the same lines as the vomit car question...I accidentally spilled a cup of milk in my car in the area in between the console and the front passenger seat. My car smells like death. I can't leave the windows open because the snow here and we have no garage. There also isn't a car detailing shampoo place on our area in the winter. What should I do? Should I just Lysol the shit out of it? Or try pouring vinegar and water in between my seats. I can barely reach down there.
michyme123 the water park vacation sounds fabulous!
I was looking online at different local deals and there is a 1/2 off lift tickets family day discount at a resort an hour drive away so we might do that. I was wondering if it's a big holiday here and how busy the resort would be or what people traditionally do. I sound like such a nerd.

I think probably quite busy. I know the resort we are staying at is booked solid. It will be fun but yes, probably pretty packed
Good to know. They have a day care on the mountain so ill call now to see if they still have 2 spots open.
Omg @poppyc8 how does a toddler fall asleep while sledding?! So funny!
When it's your mode of transportation for half the year I think it's inevitable..I got a decent pic of DS still sitting up and holding his lollipop completely out last year 😂
