I sell Girl Scout cookies for my daughter at work. I can't keep them in stock. They sell that fast. I have been hiding a box of Samoas for my mom. I've held on to it for over two weeks. I just opened it and ate three. I hope it makes it through the day.
I have 2 big boxes of cookies orderes under my desk right now & a surplus of cookies in my car for sale.
Not going to lie, I am sofaking over cookie sales already
High schools are the untapped holy grail for unloading cookies. I cannot keep them in stock. They are waiting for me when I get here in the morning. They roam around to my room in bands of cookie seekers. They spend HUNDREDS of dollars a day on cookies. Stressed out teachers are also a really good source of sales.
So update from MH re: DD's drinking. It's not going well. I'm probably going to have to hold her down tonight and give her a syringe of Pedilyte. 😩
Have you tried regular juice, apple juice, grape juice, ect? Also freezing it to make a slushie? Sprite, or something you wouldn't normally give her? Do you have a chipped or shaved ice option on your fridge? I can sometimes get my sick kids to drink if I make them a slushie with chipped ice & juice. Tried using a straw in one of your cups? I have sacrificed coffee mugs, wine glasses, even shot glasses to make taking a drink seem cool to a sick toddler.

Sorry, I know it's awful😕
Thanks so much I really appreciate it! She doesn't like cold things for some reason so has been refusing ice chips. She did drink some apple juice at the hospital yesterday but I feel like that made her poops worse. I did have some tiny success on Monday with us both drinking from the actual Gatorade bottle and doing "cheers" but that's not working anymore. I'm going to try the slushy idea. Also going to get some of that electrolyte infused water (forget the name) and see if I can pawn it off as regular water. Ugh I just don't want to have to go back to the ER! I told MH to bribe her with telling her I will bring her home a toy if she drinks. FX. Thanks again!
MH has had to keep C alone since she was 6 weeks old for long stretches of time, do bedtime, etc. while I was at work. This was an unexpected gift, because he's totally comfortable solo.
Now, the house looks like a bomb went off, but that's another thing.
The strangest thing is is that she usually loves drinking water/juice and does all the time! Maybe her throat is hurting?
Could be. Would she maybe eat some watermelon or suck on an orange slice, something like that? I don't even know if you can get watermelon this time of year but any kind of juicy fruit she would maybe eat is better than nothing. Bless her heart
I ran out of Tums yesterday and I'm dying. I won't get to the store until later this afternoon. Ugh.
That is officially an emergency! Tums and Zantac are the only reason I am functioning at all these days.
So much commiseration....I'm afraid to burp because I'm pretty sure bile will come spewing out. Omg 😭 I just have to get through this NST and I can get some.
Did you like them? I sold three cases of them, but I can't get anymore because they were only available through pre-order.
A few people have given me a hard time for selling for DD here at school. She works the cookie booths, helps me pick up, sort, and deliver, but she can't be here with me, which is where we sell the majority of our cookies.
However, as the troop leader I know that we have several girls that struggle with the cost of participating in GS. The cookies that I sell here benefit all the girls in our troop. It pays their membership fees, buys the material for our meetings, and has even purchased all of the badges for them this year. So all these people with there memes and judgmental FB posts can suck it.
I talked to So about going away for a weekend and while he agreed he reminded me of why it could never happen (he works late Fridays and can't take days off so no Monday travel back and no one to watch dd for the weekend) and it makes me sad. We need to reconnect and relax
Can you just go to a hotel for one night on a saturday? Can you find someone to watch DD for one night?
Second abstract in two weeks is submitted. I'm done. Positives: I've defined what I'm doing next and my supervisor has signed off. And Prague. Negatives: I'm done.
Need coffee before tutorial where I have to be enthusiastic about a bunch of undergrad thesis projects.

We went to MH's office for lunch. My kid was bothering a receptionist because MH told him she had candy. She kept digging through her desk and finally found dark chocolate blueberries and a fortune cookie.
Something tells me he's not going to be so happy when he tries it.

In an (admittedly minimal) attempt to cut calories & eat healthy, for lunch today from Wendy's I got a double bacon cheeseburger & a side salad instead of fries.
Inhaled the cheeseburger, didn't touch the salad, but ate all the croutons that came with the salad
I also never realized how cut throat cookie sales can be. Territorial troops are a real thing. There is a food truck that goes to a neighborhood in our town, and he has said we can set up a table next to his truck. We would make bank but I am hesitant because of the troops that are likely to get pissed if they feel we have invaded their territory. We do have a scout that lives in that neighborhood but they are likely to be no1curr.
We have a girl whose sister is in an older troop. Our girl was not allowed to sell cookies because her mother didn't want her competing with and taking sales away from her sister.
My little troop is not that serious. I just want to buy their badges and some crafts with our cookie profits.
