I'm ready to be done with work. A coworker just made a comment about my body that has me in tears at my desk. I'm too emotional for this shit.
I also just had more red spotting. No mucus or discharge, just blood. I'm going to wait to see if crosses over from spotting to bleeding and then maybe call my OB.
Wooooo flyinghorses6! Sending good labor vibes your way!!
Oh nomnom, what a crap situation. I'm so sorry you have to deal with all of that.
I'm in the 11-14" range last I heard. That kinda sucks because it means DDs daycare will be closed and I'll be home with 2 kids while DH shovels out all the properties he manages. Boo to that.

I hope the spotting doesn't turn into bleeding, EmMilAlly. And sorry about the crappy coworker. I really don't understand why people think it's ok to make any comment aside from "you look great" to a pregnant person.
All the fast labor vibes being sent your way, flyinghorses6. Is there anyway they can give you a chance to rest or something? I hope things pick up soon, if not.

So, because of the impending storm, H got into his office, 2+ hours away, and they basically told him the office would probably be closed tomorrow, and another coworker had a family emergency so they have to reschedule their meeting. So he's coming home tonight and driving back Friday. So I am a happy girl, although I feel bad that he'll be doing so much driving in the next few days. But anyways, maybe this day is actually turning around!
Well I'm back to freaking out. N's cord still hasn't healed completely and fallen off. We had an appt with the pedi today and she wants us to get an ultrasound on it tomorrow morning. I'm so nervous that it'll need to be something that needs to be taken care of surgically.
I will most likely have tomorrow morning off. I have a 9:30 call I have to be on though, but I'm OK with that if it means I can do it from home in my PJs. I'll take it! Hoping that they close the office for the whole day. Either way, I'm not coming in, but working from home vs putting my feet up and watching TV all day are two very different things!

I'm basically stuck in prodromal labor limbo. Still 4 cm, less posterior, more effaced. Can't have anything for pain because she doesn't want to space my contractions out any more, but she won't start pitocin until her office hours are over. Which is 8 pm.
I am beyond frustrated, tired, and annoyed. I am uncomfortable enough that I cannot rest, but I am going to try and eat. Otherwise I don't think I'll even make it to 8 pm. It's just frustrated because it feels like she's holding me off because she is getting all her patients in today because of the snow tomorrow. So she doesn't want to be pulled away for a delivery. Whatever. I'll be here all night.
And I'm very upset that now my daughter and parents won't be able to come see the baby. Tonight will be too late because they are watching K, and then the horrific snow tomorrow means they will be snowed in tomorrow and unable to get to the hospital. I should be grateful I'm here- I just feel like this isn't playing out how I was hoping at all.

flyinghorses6 (HUGS) I'm so sorry you're stuck and so frustrated. I'm sorry you're doctor is holding you off. FX things get moving sooner rather than later.

flyinghorses6, I know you mentioned you work there, but you're a patient there now. It sucks that you're being pushed off for other patients. I hope it's not because they feel like they can because you work there.
My sick toddler is being super whiney and clingy so I'm stuck sitting with her watching Mother Goose Club on Netflix. Nothing else is making her happy. Nothing has made me want to go into labor more than listening to the wheels on the bus for the 50th time.

flyinghorses6 - Oh, lady. I'm sorry things aren't going as planned. FX after some food you'll feel a little better. I hope your OB figures out whatever she needs to in order to help get your show on the road.
Faced is waxed, hair is cut, my desk at work is empty... I'm ready Baby OldBayLover! Let's DO this thing!!!!
PAL May '17 Siggy Challenge: Picnics - Feminist Picnic
Two MM/C 1/09/12 & MM/C 4/26/12 BFP#3 - Rainbow #1 born 5/11/13 via unplanned C-section Two CP 11/23/15 & 5/13/16 BFP#6 - Rainbow #2 born 2/10/17 via planned C-section
I spent my evening getting splinters out of DDs legs. I think she had about 10 in there She slid off an old wood rocking chair and it got her good. She got lots of ice cream and chocolate milk tonight & now we're snuggling.
Well, I have a birth kit assembled and in my closet, and a deflated pool in my bedroom. I, uh, am not feeling ready.
Baby is also posterior, so that's fun to know. Spinning babies here I come, again.
Do you mind if I ask what's in a birth kit? I'm so curious about home births.
Chux pads (water proofing), cheap shower curtains (more water proofing), cheap sheets for the bed, rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, lots of wash clothes and towels, baby's first onesie, diapers, wipes, stuff for the birth pool (hose, tarp, liner), a peri bottle, pads, healing spray for my bum, snacks. I that's about it?
My midwife will bring the doppler, O2 tank, pitocin (if I hemorrhage), vit K shot, etc. The more medical end of things. My end of birth kit is basically the housekeeping stuff.
allisong87 I hope it's something they can fix without surgery. flyinghorses6 hopefully you are having a baby right now! Or at least have your doctors full attention.
Bleeding stopped but my OB said to come in if it starts again, no matter what time it is. This means I need to STTN tonight because there is no way I'm leaving my H and DS in the middle of the night and going to the hospital alone. I've had some period cramping and painful contractions but nothing consistent so I'm betting I make it to my induction.

It's been a slow road here. I'm hitting about 13 hours since contractions started and I am just now 5 cm. I got my epidural at about 6:30 and started pitocin by 7. I dozed for about an hour and I'm going to try and sleep again. Not sure if we will see this baby on the 8th, but hopefully won't be too too much longer. Cannot wait to be done with all of this, even with the epidural I am not 100% comfortable. But it is manageable for now.

flyinghorses6 seriously hoping you can get a couple more hours of sleep with that epidural. It sounds like it's been way too long of a day already, good luck tonight.

linewifekat I was literally just going to ask if there was an update on you, keep working, you got this!! flyinghorses6 really hope things go well, thinking of you! wildflower810 you're ahead of me with the birth kit, I need to finish mine. Midwife also thought baby was facing the wrong way for me so I'm spending time inverted. Hope our babes get it right!
