I bailed on a playgroup this morning because it's so cold out. Instead, I'm packing for our short waterpark birthday trip next week because I need to A.) do it without the older kids here because it's a surprise trip, and B.) do it in the 5-10 minute chunks of time Cora allows me.
When does the clingy baby stage end? Eventually, right? Lie to me. I've blocked this part out from when the older kids were babies.

D has gotten a little bit better with needing to be held. Sometimes he'll fall asleep on his own in the bouncy seat. Sometimes I can put him down after he has fallen asleep for a couple hours. I feel like I have five minutes of my life back! Hope it gets better soon!

What do you do to pass the time in your house? I like to watch the View in the morning and look fwd to Netflix in the afternoon. I'm not much of a reader.
Kept Leo home today. He still had a temp of 100° last night. He's been fine so far. Driving me nuts. He likes tv but won't sit and watch if I'm not with him. I invited my sister over for lunch so I've been trying to make the house presentable at least. He's been following me around and bugging Alex. I can't put him down anywhere. He pushed alex in his swing too fast that I yelled at him. My patience wears thin.

Cora fell asleep in the bouncy seat one time. Since then it's been made of hot lava and she will not tolerate it.
I can't wait until she's ready for the exersaucer. I remember my super difficult DD1 loving the heck out of that. She started in it at 3 months, but she was a lot bigger and taller than Cora. She had at least 4 inches and 5 pounds on her at this stage.
It's cold here. We ended up with 3" or so of snow yesterday so the older girls skipped their activities and we just stayed home to let them play in the snow. We live about 30-40 normal minutes from town so the drive to their activities would have been awful on our country roads.
Hazel and I are just hanging out today until I have to pick up the older girls from school. I need to make a Hobby Lobby run tonight to pick up supplies for DD2's Valentine's class crafts and stuff to make both girls' valentines for their friends.

I like to read and actually have a new book, but I'm just sick of my house. I guess it's a good thing I'm going back to work soon.
This was me yesterday. Hence our trip out to get groceries. Sad that it's the highlight of my day...and my week so far.

Hot lava lmao I think my older boys were probably around 4 months when they started in it. Stuck a blanket in so they don't wobble around too much. And have fun boys! Oh they went insane for that thing. I can't wait.

It's basically a blizzard here in Connecticut. Good thing we didn't go to New Hampshire. We'd be trapped there!
You stole all my snow!! They said we'd get under an inch. We got NOTHING. We've had maybe an inch all winter. WTF! DS1 still hasn't gotten to experience his first snow day from school. LOL. Meanwhile, my family and friends up there are getting 12-18". Bah humbug!

If I have to watch legos version of jurassic world, then Leo has to watch Whoopi lambast Trump. Netflix is when he naps. When Leo is at DC I have plenty of time for tv plus housework if I feel like it.
How do your days go when you have both the toddler and baby?

We didn't get any snow either. It IS cold though. This winter has been crazy so far... so bipolar. We got to do THIS on Tuesday:
And today we're hanging out in front of the fire listening to the wind howling. I am getting bored too, @kc295905, and I feel bad because I think I should probably be cherishing this time with my baby or something. But in reality, we've had a tough time figuring out her eating needs and that's made her fussy, so the last two months haven't really been a lot of fun.
She also doesn't want me holding her unless she's eating or she's wide awake and wants to chat. As soon as she gets tired, she screams until I swaddle her and put her in her bouncer or swing. I kinda wish she liked to cuddle at least a little bit!

I feel like I'm getting a cold so decided to stay home with Jane again. Ordered chinese delivery for lunch and chilling with Netflix, keeping Jane happy and doing bills. I finally got paid everything owed from maternity leave and returning to work. wearing Jane again. For some reason she's been fussy in the evenings. Used the Nose Friday today and didn't gag! SHe's breathing better. It took me two days to get our meal plan done, but we are so sick of eating out so Daniel is going to pick up our groceries on his way home from work. Gotta love delivery to your car.
Speaking of snow, my friend is due to have her first baby any minute and she's in NJ just outside Philly. She's sure that Murphy's Law is going to kick in and she will go into labor now while they're buried in snow. I have all the things crossed for her that the baby hangs out for another day or two.
We're supposed to get a good soaking of rain today, but right now it's just howling wind. It's supposed to be springlike next week so I'm excited about that. I picked up dd the wrong way last night and now my back hurts.

I'd say that's a fair trade off!
Get up and feed DS1 and 2. Get all 3 dressed. Load them all in the car for the bus stop and get back by 8:30. Mondays I bring DS2 and the baby to story time at the library. DS2 is at daycare one day a week, usually Wednesday. He has speech eow at different days and times.
I try to do any errands in the morning. Need to be back by 11:30 when DS1 gets off the bus. Feed them lunch and put DS2 down for his nap. Clean up from their lunch and then it's usually time to feed baby again. All the while trying to give some one on one attention to each kid and do something with them.
I feel like I've either got the baby on my boob or am picking up a mess all day long.

My sister brought me cinnamon rolls from Ikea. I'm about to have one with a cup of coffee. And then I wonder why I haven't lost a single pound in the last 3 wks.
mrswillie yikes! I thought your ds1 was in school all day. My toddler is much better behaved when I sit and engage with him. I have to give you sahm props for what you do. It's the hardest job I've ever done and I did telemarketing one summer!

WORTH IT. I love those things, and can only convince MH to let me get some about every third time we go to Ikea. Which is already not very much.
Guys, I am winning today! I've managed to get dressed and put on makeup, eat breakfast AND lunch, and still have a little bit of free time to TCF. It's some kind of miracle.

He will be in full day kindergarten in September. DS2's been a bit naughty lately and gets mad at me for things I have no clue what he's mad about. I'm not entirely sure he knows either. I think it's the start of the upcoming terrible 2's. 😬 It's getting easier to give him a little more time now that baby will play on his play mat, but there's just SO MUCH to try to get done during the day too.

@kc295905, I'm wondering if I need to not have the front part with the tag folded over, it barely reaches her shoulders if I follow the moby directions. I'll have to fiddle with it. The video was helpful.

Whenever I'd go to Ikea I would indulge in a cinnamon roll with a coke...the best!
