So.... Yesterday I had an early ultrasound. By my charting and dates I should have been 6w1d. I was hoping to see a fetal pole and heartbeat. But the ultrasound only showed a gestational sac and yolk sac measuring 5w4d. I am nervous about having another loss because of the 4 day discrepancy. The doctor didn't seem concerned, she said it could just still be too early. Help ease my fears, please!

My DD measured 3-4 days behind at every u/s we went to. My best friend recently had an u/s at 10 weeks and her baby measured exactly 4 days behind. If the doctors aren't concerned, try to let that ease your mind. Hugs to you in the meantime though!

Edit for words.
That does make me feel a little better. Thank you. I am just hoping and praying this is a normal pregnancy!
I agree that if your doctor isn't concerned then that is a good sign. Try not to worry (I know, easier said than done!). Are you 100% sure of your O date? Even if so, early dating ultrasounds can be off by a few days. When do you go back for another ultrasound/appointment?

My first u/s with DS was off by a few days too. My Dr wasn't concerned, but did want me to come back in a few weeks to double check. I was then ahead by a couple of days, go figure.

I second smores, are you certain of your O date? Both of my daughters measured a few days off and my doctors were never concerned.
The only time my doctors were concerned was when I was a full week behind with DD2 at my first ultrasound, but I was confident in my O date & so I wasn't concerned. Everything worked out well!
