31 weeks today and magically I have one or two on my stomach. I just oiled up. I'm not a lotion person but ya gotta do, what ya gotta do.
I'm not a lotion person either! I know they're genetic, but I wish I would have put lotion on religiously during my pregnancy. It makes me wonder if they would have been as bad.
I have a really hard time adding a new item to my skin care or make up routine. Lotion just isn't part of it. I should look for that in shower lotion because that I could get onboard with.

that sounds so much like me. I will say that I have added it to mine now but it was easy coming home from the hospital and starting all new routines.
Ugh I'm sure adding things won't be bad when I'm not working...I have a 25-30 minute out the door routine for mornings that I just can't imagine adding lotion and another hand washing into my morning.
I have a shit ton of BBW lotion, so I do use those in the shower now even though they're not shower lotions. I don't like the strong scent they leave, so I put it on, rinse off, and then dry off.
Yeah I'm an unscented girl. Even my body wash is plain with oatmeal. I need to switch up my moisturizer because I should not be spending $55 on a moisturizer that only lasts me a month and a half. I really like my old one but they reformulated and I don't love the scent even though it's a mild aloe.

onesweetworld I use the Nivea in shower lotion and really like it. It doesn't have a scent that I can detect. DH says it makes the tub/shower slippery but I haven't noticed or slid at all.
Ugh I think I have stretch marks on my stomach and I am seeing the linea negra
Stretch marks was the worst part of my pregnancy :-( I know they're worth it, but OMG they suck so much, I feel your pain. I thought I was out of the woods because I didn't get them until 30 weeks. I will say that mine have already began fading using a stretch mark lotion.
Make sure you lotion your boobs, too. Those suckers pop up in some odd locations.
The linea negra will fade, as will the stretch marks
I know I have up to 11 weeks to go but I'm really miserable, I hope this gets better or MH learns to be a better H. He got all mad at me at the depot because I had to pee. He was like "really??! Again !!? Can't you wait until we get home?" Ugh no dude. I can't.

I can guarantee it would not have changed anything. I lotions constantly and vitamin E and what ever but if your skin doesn't stretch that much no amount of lotion will change that.

The linea negra may take some time to fade, but it will fade. I can still see mine at 5 months PP, but it's considerably lighter and is definitely on its way out.

onesweetworld, I know lotion doesn't prevent stretch marks but I like to lotion my whole body as soon as I get out of the shower. That might work to integrate lotion into your routine?

Lotion.
Too much work lol.
Hahaha! Well I guess I've been doing it for 20 years, so for me it's quick!

I'm too lazy to lotion up my whole body. While pregnant I tried to do my boobs and belly at least, but even that wasn't every day.
By the end my belly got pretty itchy some days from the stretching. Lotioning my belly definitely helped and didn't take much time so it's something to consider if you start to notice any itchiness.

Also I used coconut oil religiously on my belly when pregnant with DS and still got stretch marks. But it helped with the itching.
I didn't get any new stretch marks with this pregnancy. I gained almost the exact same amount of weight, within two lbs I think. The strict GDM diet helped on that front though.
