Yay!! Been waiting to hear an update from you! Glad both babies are here safely! CONGRATS!!
I had a preterm slow latcher/sucker and it took about 3-4 weeks but we were able to go to EBF so if it's something you want stick with it and it may just take a little time.

This is encouraging to hear. Right now we are doing some BFing for s set amount of time to not tire them, then bottle of formula (this is after several non-bottle formula methods weren't working). I then pump after each feed and try to do it again an hour later. The goal is to work on my supply. I'm fine if I have to exclusively pump, I just really would love to give them breast milk at least.
How did you go about getting feeding worked out?
That's what we did basically. We tried nursing for 10 min and then DH would feed a bottle while I pumped. Once my milk came in we were able to catch up and give him breastmilk in the bottle and the LC had us doing this routine every 2.5-3 hrs. Once he was back to birth weight they said we could go a little longer at night if he would do it but he never went more than 3 hrs for the first few months maybe bc he had gotten used to it. I rented the hospital grade pump for 1 month at their recommendation.
Since he was preterm it also took my milk like a week to come in which they said might happen but continuing to pump even if you are hardly getting anything does help.
Right around the 3 week mark I could tell his latch was doing better and he was less lazy at the boob and then about a week or so later we did a weighted feed with the LC and he was getting what he needed just nursing.
There are several ladies on SAIF that have/are dealing with this too so feel free to seek support there!

Congrats!! They are beautiful!
I initially had issues with BFing as well and now we're going strong EBF with DD being 5.5 months. Initially we supplemented and I pumped. It took a good bit to get things going. DD also had a terrible latch and we used a nipple shield until almost 3 months. One day she just got it and we haven't had to use it again. It's hard not to be hard on yourself but you're doing great.

Congrats!! Such gorgeous babies!
Also, what she ^^ said. I had BF issues at first too and though I'm still pumping and supplementing at 8 weeks, things have improved and maybe someday I can get to EBF. The hospital grade pump has helped immensely with comfort. I was also using nipple shields and my LO just weaned off them this week - without the shield, she drains the boob so much more effectively and I've already seen my supply respond to that. I'm glad we used them to help get us started, though.
