This Beyoncé performance is so weird. Also I don't know how many times I've type Beyoncé (maybe 3 or 4) but apparently autocorrect is on top of that...

So H was talking to BiL this afternoon and it was brought to my attention that BILs stupid ex gf is working at the hospital I plan to deliver at. This is enough reason to find a new place to have a baby correct?

Unless she'd be directly involved in delivering your baby, no. Or unless I missed something and she's crazy or dangerous or something.

She's crazy and I hate her and I don't want the stress of her even coming near my kid....or really talking to MIL.
No idea. I apparently need to do some more digging because there are multiple campuses on the hospital. So I'm hoping she works in another campus.
I personally wouldn't worry too much unless she was directly working in labor and delivery or the nursery or something. Hospitals are big places and if she works in the ER or ICU or somewhere else, chances of you even running into her are slim (she'd have to be on duty while you were there, and in a situation where she wasn't working directly with her own patients at the exact same time you weren't directly engaging with your doctor/MW or literally delivering your baby).
That being said, that will be a day that you want to be as comfortable as possible, so if you think you won't be able to shake the anxiety or if it will really bother you being in the same building as her, it might be enough to make you switch.
I need to pack a hospital bag...I'm not quite sure what I should pack because I use a lot of things on a daily basis...
I packed everything I could and then made a list of everything that I can't pick yet and will need to throw in at the last minute so I don't forget anything. Not as necessary since I have a scheduled induction now, but the list is sitting on top of my bag and includes where everything is generally located in case my H or someone else needs to finish packing for me

This is what I did and it worked great.
Did you follow a packing list? I have an extension cord packed because of W - any other gems I wouldn't think of?

@osw the two things I was sooo grateful for out of my bag was my chapstick and the snacks I packed for afterwards. Second to those two things were my slippers and a robe for doing laps around the ward. I really didn't use anything else.

I need to buy better slippers. Mine have zero traction.

I Googled some lists, looked at an IRL friend's list, then made my own from them. And even though I thought I kept it pretty simple, I barely used anything I brought.

ETA: I have Vaseline packed for my lips.
I wouldn't recommend buying better slippers for use at the hospital unless you are buying them solely with L&D in mind. You never know if they're going to stay clean enough to bring back home after.

Yeah I was going to look for something on clearance. I plan on throwing away my flip flops that I've packed too.

My husband thinks I'm being a raging bitch because I don't want my MIL here a week after I push a baby out my vagina. And I want to clobber him upside the head for not giving a shit about my feelings.

This isn't a necessity for the hospital bag BUT I took DD's baby book and had the nurses put her prints in it when they were doing the required prints. I love having those itsy bitsy prints in there now. Just a thought...

W she pulled this shit when my DD was born. It was the most miserable week of my life. It ended in me having a sobbing meltdown. I really don't want her here. But I do feel guilty that my family is coming to visit (granted their visit was planned before we conceived this baby because they're coming for my graduation).
