Lol. Our snow is nothing compared to yours Sparkly. And this is the snow that leads to a delay here.
Ok this could be my Arctic blood speaking but how are there delays from this? The roads are clear and so are the sidewalks. I don't get what's delaying...anything
I agree with you. The roads are completely fine so I'm not sure why a delay was called. We had a full closure a few weeks ago but the ice was really bad and we are not equipped for that here.

The Valentine's I picked up for DD to take tomorrow came in packs of 18 and the list at school for prek and preschool is 24 kids. They're Annie's fruit snacks so I'm thinking of giving the rest out to my coworkers tomorrow. Not sure if that would be weird though.
Sending (((hugs))) shortskirtlongjacket. I'm sorry you've been having such a rough time. Prozac and Wellbutrin is the combo I'm on at the moment. It's better than how I was before so for now I'm just going with it.
Why would you only wear a PJ shirt and not the pants? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of PJ day? And how can you hate PJ day? I'm jealous of my kid when he gets to wear PJs to school.
I hate PJ day because it always means an argument with my kid over what she is going to wear- on normal days, we have a uniform. I also hate it because I don't like the idea of wearing pajamas outside of the house. It always happens in winter (WTF?) so I have to take the extra steps of making sure the pajamas can transition to being warm enough to wear outside, which generally means a base layer that my kid doesn't want to wear.

Good luck with the meds shortskirtlongjacket! A low dose of prozac makes the anxiety doom cloud totally disappear for me. I hope you have similar success.
Ironically after that thread yesterday, I had a clothing issue with DS this morning. It's pajama day at school. I strongly suggested that he wear just a pajama top and then jeans but he wasn't having it. And he got really upset when I forgot the last two pajama days, so I let him have this one.
The whole week is themed but we have everything. Oh except hair gel. Need to remember to buy that.
Why would you wear a pajama shirt and not the pants? That's the whole point of pajama day
I don't like pajama day, I guess. It just looks wrong.
DH was so confused when he came home from work this morning and DS was "still" in his pajamas while eating breakfast. I gave him grief for not realizing it was a totally different pair from last night.

TBH, I put my boys in their pjs at night and I would have no idea if they had different ones on in the morning.
I know Larry happened. Please do not try to convince me otherwise. Please don't talk to me about coffee. I don't drink it. I don't caffeine. When I state my opinion, that is me chiming in on a topic. This is not me saying you suck at life if you do or feel differently. If I want to say that, I will. If I want to speak on you, I will.
Thanks, ladies. We were able to get about 3 hours of broken sleep. She is still getting sick and can't keep anything down, but she's been in good spirits. And I have been too busy with laundry and taking care of her to feel hungover. Gotta look at the positives, right?

I'd be happy kid a co-worker have me Annie's bunnies.
I have spent too much money this past weekend being stuck sick on the couch.... new jeans from my favorite brand, a sephora purchase including a new face mask, highlighter, and lip stuff, and a ThirdLove purchase after it being discussed last week. HE pretty much sold me on it. I figured that's risk-free since they have free returns/exchanges if I hate it

Those are pretty much my reasons.
Wut? Do you not tell your kid it's a special day? I mean my kid knows she is having a fun day on pajama day and that's it.
I'm too cozy snuggled into my blankets with the kids (and a pile of work on my lap) to get up or I'd show you all my snow pic. There's lots of it out there.
Well I called out of work again today... that's about the 3rd time this month. For someone who never ever calls out, this is killing me. This month has been awful with illnesses in my house. Countless head colds, and now the stomach bug. When's it gonna stoppppp
With my house, I'm convinced it will never end.
I'm at this point too. Just when I think we've shaken it, something new hits all over again and runs its course through us all.

I don't really understand your question.
Yes- she knows it's a special day. And she always wants to wear these little too small nightgowns that I let her wear to bed, but I don't want her wearing them to school, because they're too small and they're really short, and she complains about that.
So, I make her wear two piece PJs with pants, but that's not warm enough to play outside if it's in the 40s (IMO), which means she needs either a base layer or another layer to go on top, which she complains about.
And on pajama day, they get to wear slippers in the classroom instead of shoes, but she still needs shoes to wear from the car to the classroom and to wear to the playground, but she complains about having to wear shoes with pajamas.
It's not a huge deal- it's only a couple of times per year, but I definitely don't enjoy it when it happens and I won't miss it when it's gone.
I always take DD to swim lessons in her PJs. It's early and one less time hanging her. I bring day clothes for after we get out of the pool. I also don't change her out of PJs before breakfast ever. If she gets messy I'd rather it be in PJs than clean clothes we put on 10 minutes ago.
Same. My kids always eat breakfast in their pjs. On Mondays, DD has ballet at 11. If we don't have anything planned beforehand, she stays in her pjs until it's time to get her ballet stuff on. No point in changing her twice.

Have you had any side effects?
I've been on and off Prozac for over 10 years and never had side effects - not that I'm aware of anyway - and overall it's always been very effective for me. It's been for mild depression, periods of added stress in my life, and PPD.
I added Wellbutrin for GAD/PPA after a not good experience trying Effexor in November/December. My therapist told me it might make me more anxious at first - for a few days up to two weeks. It did but didn't last long.
