This is such a hard question! So many amazing foods out there.... hmm. A bakery near my work makes what they call "party cakes", which are like bigger petit fours, if you've ever had one of those. They are white cake with raspberry filling covered in chocolate, and I love them.

There is this tiny hole in the wall place in my hometown that makes salad with this amazing dressing that has a ridiculous amount of garlic in it. You can practically smell it coming from your pores. It is amazing, and now i really need that salad with a side of cheesy bread.
Sushi! My preference is the raw stuff but I'll eat cooked sushi when pregnant so I don't have to give it up completely.
I have a go-to pregnancy sushi restaurant that makes veggie and cooked sushi on a separate surface from the raw stuff. They are awesome and I frequently see pregnant people there.

I should probably be more diligent about this. I figure if the ingredients are cooked I'm good...
This is probably being influenced by what I happen to want to stuff my face with at this moment, but I will go with giant salads with all the veggies/cheese/chicken/croutons/bacon or turkey+veggie subs with vinegar/oil.

Um, I love almost all foods - which probably explains a lot about me.
My favorites are Mexican, sushi, & pizza. There's a local restaurant here that does a double brined pork chop that's AMAZING, & I'm usually not a pork chop person. It comes with a seasonal chutney & I would like to have it right now.
Ok, so when I was in Switzerland in college, there was this bakery that would open its side door at 2am when all the bars were closing. From that door they would sell us hot fresh ham and cheese croissants. I don't even know how we discovered it, but OMG, I will never forget those. I try every year to recreate them, and while close, I haven't gotten them exact.
Also from that same little town there was a schwarma stand right in the middle of town. Mmmm so good, and I definitely love me some schwarma and gyros.
Seriously, I just can't get enough. With my first pregnancy I had an aversion to mexican food and it was devastating for me. So far bebe #2 is participating with my love.
Speaking of food... I am going to leave work and eat Cracker Barrell for lunch....by myself... no shame.

GDI, I'm already finding it hard to stomach food talk.
That said, it's hard to pick just one thing, but....probably pizza. It takes a lot for me to get sick of pizza (tho last pregnancy I developed an aversion to deep dish). Also breakfast food, both sweet and savory, but especially eggs benedict.

Um...based on your SN we are in the same city, if that's where this place is then I'm gonna need a name!!

I realized I was way overthinking this, and that my favourite food is the humble egg. They are just so versatile! I love omelettes, eggs on toast, and shakshuka, and there is a great breakfast place in my neighbourhood that makes delicious breakfast poutine with poached eggs on top of fried potatoes, with cheese and hollandaise sauce. I think this might also be cheating actually...

Oh man, I had eggs benedict for brunch last weekend and it was DIVINE.
Cheese or chocolate, hands down. I love cheese but it sadly does not love me. Nothing better than Brie or Blue Cheese with crispy bread!
Oh man, can I change my answer? I was thinking in terms of a DISH, but really if we're talking individual foods then I could live off cheese and fresh bread and chocolate.

It's my go-to for brunch, esp when evaluating a new place.
