Traffic was terrible this morning. There wasn't any accidents in my commute but it took me an extra 15 minutes to get to work. There was just so much traffic and it seemed like everyone was driving hungover.
He'll probably bring home so much junk from school I will regret having gotten him anything. I'm going to his party later. He got to wear PJs today too and was kinda confused on that. I forgot to get anything for either kids teachers though. Normally I send cookies or a bag of candy.
Eye doctor for Z this morning. My sister is coming over to help afterwards. She's a brat and was resisting helping me after I spent 4 days packing and cleaning her house. Doing some light cleaning because final walk thrus are tonight!

I just went to put on my glasses and one of the lenses is missing, I wore these yesterday and the lens was there. I took them off when I was done working, put them down, and didn't touch them the rest of the day. I couldn't find the missing lens anywhere near where the glasses were. I'm pretty blind in front of the computer, so this should be fun.

What is the cash me outside thing? I've seen the memes but Idk what it originates from?
It's an episode of Dr Phil where that 13 year old thinks she's tough. Her mom is obviously a hot mess as well. It's ok YouTube if you have time to watch the little clip.

I got DH little debbies and DD a cookie. Our local skyline does a Valentine's thing where you make reservations, they dim the lights and have candles on each table... Lol cheap and easy. Plus we love skyline, so it's perfect.

H got O an Elmo doll and Elmo valentine book weeks ago (o is obsessed with Elmo). We were going to figure something out for E, but I forgot until today. I amazon prime now'ed an Elsa doll for her frozen dollhouse that she got for Christmas (but has no dolls) and got her a book (dragons love tacos). We normally don't get each other anything, but since I was Amazon now'ing anyway I got H an Amazon fire as a surprise because he mentioned a few weeks ago that he was interested in one. Our iPad is like five years old and worked great until recently it seems to be slowing down. The Amazon fire also works with Alexa, which we got for Christmas from H's sister. Hopefully he is surprised, but I forgot until after I checked out that he gets the email alerts on our Amazon account. Oops.
V - Day isn't a real holiday. I'm not anti V - Day, but I also don't feel the need to do anything for it.
I agree, why do we have to be forced to buy things on this one day to show our love. I'm not anti-valentines either. But I have enough to worry about right now and buying something for H and N is not on my priority list. Besides, grandma came over and gave her something, so N's good.

DH literally could care less if I get him anything or not. I asked him last night if he wanted a card and he flat out said no. So why waste the money lol I know food is always the way to his heart, so little debbies Valentine's snack cakes it was. Lol and DD is too little to understand, and honestly doesn't need anymore crap. So she got a cookie and a sucker and we did a craft this morning. She was happy with that. I usually don't make a big deal out of Valentine's day either so I feel ya sstwinklinglites.

I get it everyone has a difference of opinion and do things differently we "celebrate" it I like it he likes it. Fun times and excuses for another date night is never a problem.
She's still got a fever and the cough but she's acting normal. She's currently singing songs when she's supposed to be napping lol. But looks like another day home tomorrow until the fever breaks.
I just remember getting a little something in the morning at breakfast from my mom and it was a nice surprise. Especially as I got older and you don't always have a "boyfriend." If nothin else good happened that day, I was still happy. I don't feel obligated for vday any more than I feel obligated for Christmas. I do it because I like it. We are going to a candy store together- that's our thing- no gifts.

H grew up getting lots of little presents for the random holidays (his mom made him an Easter basket until a few years ago). I think it's cute, so if I remember, great. If not, no biggie. I just didn't want to give O stuff for Valentine's Day and not have anything for E. H will sometimes go through spurts where he sees "good deals" and buys lots of little presents for the kids. He is also terrible at surprises so he can't hide them until their birthday. So we do lots of random "I love you" gifts at our house.
My mom and your Hs mom are on the same page chrispy1122. I got an Easter gift mailed to college- like an outfit and $20 in a card for Halloween and vday. Now they send stuff to the grands instead.

Oh I like that idea!! We always do Easter baskets. My Dad used to send me flowers in high school which was cool. Such good memories.
