I'm due the Wednesday after Easter (4/19) and really want to have an Easter outfit if baby is here, but with not knowing if it's a boy or girl that makes it tough.
I am so excited to be team green this time, but it was so much easier with DD when we knew she was a girl at 20 weeks! If we have a 3rd I don't think we'll do team green again. But maybe I'll feel differently after baby comes.

I think I want to be team green if we make it to two. After dealing with 2 years of IF, I don't think we will actively TTC because my heart can't handle that. I think we will NTNP.
I'm not a believer in superstition or jinxes, so buy all the things! Whatever makes you happy!
I don't really, either. But with both PgAL and PAIF in my back pocket, I'm surprised I'm not more worried or anxious. It's super strange. I think my problem is just that I like buying things, hahaha. And now I have something to direct that at!
(I totes already have some baby things that I've picked up both while I was pregnant with Trooper and while we were TTC )
I was the exact same way. Buying things made me more real for me...made me feel closer to him.

Being team green has really shown me how not gender neutral clothes are. It has been a good limit on my spending, though - I can't buy much past 0-3 size beyond very basic pants and onesies. Most of what I've gotten has been from the boy section because even the basic leggings for girls have ruffles all over the butt.

Okay, so....WWPD (Sorry in advance for the TL;DR)
Someone posted in a community Facebook group something like "Hey neighbors! Check out this new baby/kids boutique, this is a local mom friend of mine. Check it out and support a local business."
So I got on the website and they had some cute stuff. She was doing a "freebie" onesie for her first 50 customers. So I got one outfit plus the freebie- it ended up being $10. Super cheap, but cute, and I was excited to support a local business so I shared her page on my personal FB page and told my preggo friends to check it out.
That was on January 26th. I got an auto-email confirmation that day, and a sweet "thank you for supporting my business" email the following day.
On February 5th I emailed because I hadn't received a shipping confirmation. I asked for tracking. She responded and said that her confirmation emails went out prematurely (??) and that all orders were processed on February 3rd. She said she didn't have tracking available at the moment but would get it to me soon.
It's been 9 days since then and I've heard nothing. I emailed her again this morning because I'm starting to get irritated. I suspect that the items may be shipping from China, which is why its taking so long maybe? If that's the case, it aggravates me a little bit, because I thought I was supporting a local business and advertised it on my own page as such.
So...if I don't hear back from her today or tomorrow with tracking info...should I ask for a refund even though it was only $10? Should I leave a review on her Facebook page? I hate to jump to conclusions or be a bad customer, but its been 19 days and I have no idea where my stuff is. If she's "local", wouldn't you think it would show up much, much sooner than this??
ETA: Here's the link to her shop. It looks legit...I really want to like her stuff. It's funny and edgy.
akraus2015 I looked at her shipping and all of it says 2-3 weeks for shipping. My guess is that it is coming from China. It is really easy now to set up a quick shop and have a vendor do all the shipping/processing/handling for the owner.
Ah I didn't see that....now I feel like a jerk for bugging her when her policy is clearly stated on the website. Oops.
I think I've been spoiled by Amazon Prime and Stella & Dot....both ship items so quickly. I was bummed about waiting 4 weeks for Alva diapers to arrive, too. :/

I cannot get un-hungry today. So far I've eaten: a banana a breakfast bar applesauce a Hershey's chocolate bar egg drop soup chicken fried rice cherry greek yogurt carrots an apple
...and now I'm moving onto crackers. I'm literally just eating whatever I can find in my office fridge/pantry.

It is pretty crazy now how it works now. She is probably never coming in contact with the clothing. It will ship directly from China to a drop ship vendor to you. I do think it is a little shady if she is acting like it is coming out of her house.
Yeah...I'm not so sure I want to order from her again. I don't mind buying from other countries when I find something cheap that I like (example- Alva diapers), but I really do prefer to patronize local businesses and most times will spend a little bit more to do so.

I have major nausea today but the only thing that makes me feel better is more food...so I've eaten a little bit of anything within arms reach all day. But my choices are much less redeeming than yours (see: chips, sour gummy worms, etc.)
TTC since July 2014. CP March 2015. IVF #1 March 2016, 5R, 3M, 2F with ICSI. Transferred 2 on day 3. CP. Surprise BFP and then CP August 2016 (prep cycle for IVF). IVF #2: zero eggs retrieved IVF #3: 6R, 5M, 5F, 3 (2 8A and 1 11A) transferred, one "B" graded embryo frozen on day 5. BFP (at home 7dp3dt, confirmed 14dp3dt with 1552 beta) and U/S at 5w5d, 2 sacs and 2 yolks!

I ate two full bags of gummy bears while I was home sick this weekend. Oops.
Chewing them when my nose is stuffed up makes a funny noise in my head. #gross

Yes! My ear is still plugged up so it sounds weird...and carrots sound like firecrackers!

We found out with DD primarily because I really, really wanted a girl. I know I should have just been happy either way, but I couldn't help it- we were thinking at that time we might be one and done and I desperately wanted a little girl. I was worried I'd be disappointed if it was a boy (again, I know I should have just been happy he was healthy, and I'm sure I would have been, but I couldn't help feeling like I wouldn't be complete without a little girl) so we decided to find out at the a/s rather than potentially deal with that after the baby was born.
This time I can honestly say that I do not care if it's a boy or a girl. It would be fun either way. It'll be fun to find out when he/she is born. But it definitely makes planning and pre-buying harder. Sometimes I get tempted to call my doctor's office and find out if they have it on file, but they probably don't and would just think I'm crazy.

From her FAQ:
Where do source clothes from?
We have suppliers in several places in order to provide you with the biggest selection possible. Keep in mind orders may ship separately.
So, the clothes are likely coming from somewhere, but maybe not necessarily China. I don't think it's such a bad thing to outsource your manufacturing, especially if you're a growing brand with the intention of being something of a largish company. I, personally, would still call it a local business, but I think that phrase has gotten a certain connotation of being handmade and shipped from the home. But it doesn't look like a chain and I'm willing to bet that even if she's not literally making the clothes in her living room, she's probably dealing with a lot of the other logistics behind her business like accounting, invoicing, etc. And if she does get the product shipped directly to her, THEN she has to separate them into the orders and package/ship them herself...? It seems like a lot of work.
Plus, I can see a delay if this was posted on a large Facebook community and suddenly she got a huge load of orders that isn't normal for her. It could be hard to keep up and make sure that you're getting the right product for the right customer.
tl;dr I don't think the website is sketchy, nor the time you've had to wait be all that unusual. I'd wait for the order you made, contacting maybe once a week, until you get tracking or an arrival date.
Put in saucepan/pot with enough water to submerge Bring to a gentle boil Turn off heat. Cover pot with lid. Leave covered for twelve minutes. Pour out hot water. Immediately add ice water until eggs are submerged (this keeps them from turning green) Eat or refrigerate.

Im going to try again at home tonight...we'll see how it goes! I'll try this method.

akraus2015 the immediate ice bathe also makes a huge difference in peelability (pretty sure I just made that word up haha) but I feel like that's what a lot of people struggle with

I forgot to say leave in the ice water until they are cool but I think most people would understand that...
I was doing a batch every Sunday morning while in third tri because they were a great easy GD approved breakfast or snack. Also if you use older eggs they are easier to peel so use up the older ones for hard boiled
My entire adult life I said absolutely no girls, give me a hockey team of boys...the minute my test said positive I didn't care at all. I didn't think that would happen to me but I really truly didn't have a preference. I found myself only coming up with girl names and I just had a gut feeling she was a girl. Everyone else said boy.

I add some baking soda to the boil too for easy peeling.

Quiet day here. We don't really celebrate this holiday, DH usually picks up Pinkberry for dessert but it's too far with two littles. He's out now getting...something. Last year he just got me chocolate.
I feel like I should get him something but I'm stumped. He's not a drinker or big on sweets. He doesn't really need anything.
Baby girl has her tongue tie consult at 4 so I could pick up something quick on our way home.

All you hard-boiled egg people- my H has been making them for his breakfasts for his low carb/high protein diet. He's been making them in advance and storing them in a gallon Ziploc but they stink. Any tips on how to make less stinky eggs? It makes me want to retch every time he opens the bag.
