Oof. His name will be the bane of my existence!! I just haven't experienced that "THAT'S IT!" Feeling. Instead, I like a name and then I don't. 😏 Plus, originally I wanted a bilingual name, but we hate 99% of bilingual boy names. And DH was raised Jewish so he's sticking to the no repeats of names and he doesn't want any names from the New Testament (insert eye roll on the latter because what? I would have never thought of Thomas as a biblical name...)
My list includes:
Noah Oliver Max Andrew Jonah Elijah Theo Ethan Nolan Joshua Leo
I am currently leaning towards Max but DH is not a big fan, he's currently leaning toward Jonah but I'm no longer a big fan. Initially I was dead set on Noah and now I'm meh. And DH was loving Oliver and now is eh.
And middle name will either be Antonio or Alberto (after my dad's middle and first names) or maybe my maiden name, but it sounds weird as a middle name bc it's a last name. So we will see...
Baby boy will be named Baby Boy at this rate....
We also have the bilingual factor. With DS1 we took the English version of my father's name to use as his MN (so Edward instead of Eduardo), but now DH insists we use his father's name as DS2's MN. His name is Mauricio which I don't mind, but hard pass on Maurice as an alternative (just not our taste).
I also feel like we'll never settle on a boy name.
I have a first name I'm pretty set on (no I'm not sharing, sorry, I'm a little superstitious 😊) but I'm having trouble getting H on board. I'm between 2 middle names.

We won't be sharing our names with family or friends. We did with DS1 and I got tired of the opinions and suggestions.
I guess we have a name. I liked it for a couple weeks, but H was a hard pass. And, then he liked it and I was over it. But, I guess it's what we are going with. I'm still not sold, but nothing else is striking out fancy.
SSA released the 2016 baby name stats. The name we are going with did finally break the top 1000 after not being on there for 20+ years.

I saw that list the other day and was a little surprised at how far up my first choice name was. It's in the top 30. Most of my other choices are waaaaaay further down though.
happyfeet9, I really love Navid! It was on my list as a possible future baby name before I got married but our baby is a girl and also it would not go with our last name at all, but I still love it!
addymac, omg I have the same problem. I have "decided" on two different names only to feel meh about them after a week or two. I just can't find something I love. AND I don't know where to look for suggestions! FTR, I love Theo for a boy. If this baby was a boy I think we would definitely have gone with Theodore.

Evangeline is still up in the top 300 but I don't actually know anyone with the name and haven't heard it used around here, so it could be a regional thing.
Josiah is number 55 - Navid doesn't crack the top 1000. It's still my front runner.

But I will gladly share with internet strangers
Same here, happyfeet9! I will share with y'all but even if we pick a name beforehand or go in with a short list, we won't tell our family what's on the list - and DH wants to tell them that there's a list even if we have a name picked. Cannot deal with the idea of their opinions and comments, haha.

I had to come to terms with the fact that my kid will have a popular name. I just can't add in not popular to my already difficult decision. Of course one of my top choices (Noah) is #1 but oh well. Ideally it wouldn't be that high but I just dgaf anymore.
We are pretty sure about baby girls second name (is that what you call middle names?) Johanna. But still undecided about her first name (and whether we will stick to 2 or will go with 3 names).
Currently on the list are Daphne, Nynke (Dutch/Frysian name), Charlotte (Lotte). And Johanna.
MH also likes Jacoba (prolly also a really Dutch name?) as a second name and I do too even if it is a bit old fashioned - which I don't mind for a 2nd name heh - but Johanna holds extra meaning since it refers to both MHs foster dad as my granny. And Johanna Jacoba is too many Js hah.
MHs first pick Daphne I do like but I am not 100% sold and feel like I would prefer a different name? But it is growing on me. A plus is that is works well both in Dutch as in English which is something we both like/want.
We were stupid and used a favorite girl name when we named one of our youngest cats .... and it just doesnt feel right to now name our kid the same lol. Which is why I like Nynke I think - it jas a similar ring to it.
We both also like Charlotte/Lotte for short but it is too popular a name here. I also always loved Sophie but my cousin beat me to it whej she gave birth to a daughter last year 😧😊
"Officially" we havent decided yet but I caught MH whispering to Daphne in my belly 😍 so maybe I should just go with it. I do like the combination Daphne Johanna, and it would work well both in Dutch as in English.. even if it wouldnt have been my first choice. I just havent had thag wow feeling with names yet.. but maybe you dont always have that? Guess I am just worried I will have naming regrets?? A hh we have some time still 😁
We won't be sharing our name picks with any one though. Even tho I am curious about what people think, at the same time I just don't want all the opinions and suggestions lol.

We are in the not sharing with family/friends camp either. I know we will get opinions if we share where if we just name they will accept it.
We have middle names locked in - Patrick for our boy and Carolann for little girl. We are using Carolann since H will not let me give her two middle names. When I was still in first tri and way before we knew we were having a boy and girl I had a dream that I had a knock on the door and answered it to find my first mother in law (who passed away two years ago and was like a mom to me) standing on the porch with a balloon in her hands that said "it's a girl". Carolann is after her. H is happy since his mom's middle name is Ann. I also knew definitely from that dream that I was having one girl because I remember waking up thinking that it's just one girl. It was very singular.
For first names, H early on decided on A and B names since that is what they designate twins as. He picked Benjamin (who is actually baby A) and Abigail. I initially was not thrilled and nixed Abby/Abigail outright.
Benjamin has grown on me when I asked if I could call him Benji which feels right. H is happy since little boy could choose to call himself Ben or Benjamin when he gets older (apparently having options on names is important to us).
Short list for little girl is Evelyn/Evie or Eleanor/Ellie

We've settled on Grayson Alexander. I still like it enough and MH started calling him Grayson, so he was obviously committed to it. I guess I just felt weird about using it since it was already set aside for the first baby before knowing the sex.

We are so stuck. I have to check the 2016 list because neither of us want a popular name. And some names have been trashed since we are both teachers and that means some names have connections.... lol
We decided on Samuel. It was our 2nd choice for baby #1 (Benjamin), and we still love it, so it was a pretty easy choice. Middle name will be my maiden name.
ETA Being a teacher definitely makes it harder to pick a name. Too many associations!

Those are a good sibling pair! My MIL thought so too, for her two boys, haha!
I'm slightly bitter DHs family is all boys and took 95% of all the names I ever wanted ☹️
