Baseball would be better if it were three mini games of three innings each. Only the end of the game is exciting because anything can happen.
A related UO I don't understand people who leave sporting events before it's over. I guess if the game is a blowout and your team is losing, but the hoards of people I see leaving before the last ten minutes of play in any sport confuses me.
They don't feel like sitting in two hours of traffic leaving a stadium.
Dear heavenly mother of dildos, Goddess to all below. Please let our friend Jap emerge from her sexual adventures shard free. May the glass of her dildo only be ribbed for her pleasure. May you be kind with temperature changes and the laws of nature. Amen. In the pussy.

Today is A Day Without Immigrants, which is a similar idea to the Day Without Women. A number of restaurants have closed today in solidarity. You guys should find out if any of your local businesses are participating and patronize the fuck out of them.
I understand the sentiments behind the Women's Day Off, believe me I understand. But I do not think the implementation is feasible.
Like, all the women in my department cannot just up and take the day off because my one poor co-worker would not be able to do 5 things at once, and it would directly impact patient care. So yes, I realize it would definitely show that women run things, but I don't think it is fair to compromise health care for that (I realize this is my own specific example).
...but isn't that the point?
Yes, but I think what she's specifically driving at is pointed to healthcare only. Let's say an entire ward of intensive care is staffed by 90 percent women. All of them don't come in. Is it good making a point putting potentially several lives in likely mortal danger?
I don't necessarily believe myself that something like this would happen or would be better organized. Most nurses I know wouldn't do this for that reason, but they'll donate a lot of money to do it for them.

Same in Philly
Yeah it's national, but I don't feel like it's received the same attention as the woman's strike. In light of current events, I wish it was given more coverage.

You can say you understand the point of the strike but logistically it would be a nightmare for your business. I mean, obviously it's much easier to close a restaurant than a hospital.

Right. There is not one male nurse in my NICU. Shutting it down for a day at the expense of the babies is not ok, IMO. A store, restaurant, or other type of business is djfferent.
Cherhorowitz, there's no database of participants or anything that you're aware of for the immigration thing, is there? Because I haven't dug too deep into it but would all over patronage if I could figure out WHO in these hick towns are in it.
There is a restaurant group here that is "in solidarity" with the day without immigrants and encouraging protests but also keeping their doors open and donating the profits to the ACLU.
I'm not kidding that I've been listening to Adele nonstop since the Grammys. I've been in a real funk all week and her sad songs are speaking to me.
Same. I love Adele! She has a beautiful voice and I love her songs. Even say hello to your new lover. She also seems more like someone you would actually want to be friends with.
I am not anti Beyonce but I feel she's very gimmicky. I don't feel like she bared all like people think.
I feel it was a gimmick to get the younger crowd. I've said this before.
I also don't feel she is suddenly making music nor for white or whatever. I feel you are either into her or not.
I did not like Lemonade at all and that's fine.
I actually questioned the truth and rawness behind Lemonade after she announced her pregnancy. Especially all that blowing up J's spot. Not that couples can't heal and move forward. Or maybe it was a long time ago. But it seems like a switch to go from I KNOW WHAT YOU DID JAY to very pregnant with twins in a short period of time. It made me wonder if Becky really happened or if it was more made to get publicity and attention for the album.
(Disclaimer: this is not to say that the other messages in this album aren't powerful and thought provoking statements. I meant in relation to that song in particular).

I have just seen news articles about local businesses participating.

That's what I was afraid of. It'd be news here, too. But NOT the good kind :/

My local news covered who would be closing today. I'm in a large city, but I'm sure you could find info through local news channels.

Bey doesn't write most of her songs. They weren't all her experiences.
I love football, but I'm pretty sure I can't watch it anymore because of the head injury stuff. It feels icky.
This. I have always loved football but they don't take the head injuries seriously. It's all about the money for the NFL lately and it's making me not want to watch anymore.
