I really hope I can figure out what's going on with DS's sleep before the baby comes. He's going on a week of being awake (quiet, thankfully, but awake nonetheless) for 2ish hours in the motn. I tried being super strict about his schedule yesterday, thinking maybe I was letting him sleep in too long to make up for missing sleep. So instead of being awake from 2-4, he was awake from 5:30-7. He fell asleep like 5 minutes before I was going to get him out. 😑 I think I might have to wake him up earlier or (sob) cut his 2 hour nap to 1.5 hours. Or both. Waaahhhh!

Also, DH found a smoker on super clearance last night, and is currently getting it prepared to smoke a roast for lunch. I told him this must be his "I'm having a baby" crisis purchase. So random.
I'm excited about date night tonight. I'm feeling kind of meh and grumpy today. I feel like being lazy, but knowing that baby could come any day is making me feel like I should keep trucking on. I'd much rather sit and crochet, though. Boo. I'm also impatient, like the other 5 of us who don't have babies yet

Ah, notagoddess, I'm so sorry. I was high and closed up until the day I went into labor with DS at 40+3, and it was hard. FX your body decides to make things happen soon!
shawnabm1320 DH and my brother are really into meat smoking. My brother for DH into it. I told DH he could get a "starter smoker" that we found pretty cheap and if he really stuck with it he could get the more expensive one he really wants in a year. This summer will be a year, and I loath to admit that he does use to regularly, and I enjoy the fruits of his labor.
AFM this is DH's first shift back at work so he's gone for a little more than 24 hours. My mom is coming up for the night to "help" me, but her being here will probably be more stressful for me than helpful. So, I probably need more luck to deal with her than not have DH around. It does feel weird to not have him around after being together every day for the past month.
So tired today....both babies were sleeping when DH left for work so I was laying down and that was when LO1 woke up. Better yet she has her first accident so once done feeding the twins I'll be stripping all the beds and washing those today. Add that to the cleaning I need to do since MIL and SIL are coming tomorrow to see the babies (SIL has been sick so hasn't been allowed to come yet and MIL cannot drive.).

The OB did say it doesn't mean I'll definitely not have a baby soon. He said I could have a bunch of contractions and have the baby overnight, or my water could break in the parking lot.
I am mostly worried about having an induction from an unfavorable state, and missing out on maternity leave with the baby. But, I still have another week before I'm leaving work. I'm going to try to save the real worrying until after next week's appointment.

FWIW I had no signs of labor in the days leading up to Z's arrival. No non BH contractions, no changes in discharge, nothing. It was all very sudden for me.

This is the motivational post I needed to see! After midwives said baby is high facing the wrong way I got pretty discouraged but I'm hoping that doesn't mean much and things can just start up at any time now. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My whole fam slept for 11 hours last night. It made me fairly late for work, but I feel AWESOME! So glad I'll have the energy to clean..you know or birth..this weekend 😀
pivot hope things are progressing now that you're feeling good 😎
staz FX that you're feeling better today! Orrr working that baby out 🤗
shawnabm1320 oh I'm so excited to start smoking this season. Well, watch dh do it. He's still a beginner but even mediocre smoked goods are better than none! He last did smoked Mac m cheese. It was ridiculous 😛 let us know how the roast goes!

It really doesn't. I mean, I've been 2 cm dilated for 3 days now, and NOTHING! Lol

Its so true. I had no signs of labor with F until I woke up with contractions. I wasn't even that uncomfortable, although I was crampy the night before walking through the grocery store. I didn't think anything of it at the time. But still, basically everything happened in like 2/3 days.

pivot woohoo!! Good luck girl! staz hoping you're doing well and maybe things will start back up today! Today is the first day I feel somewhat normal so I'm hoping to get some cleaning done tonight and walk a bit. Also, my dad is a tech failure and keeps texting me instead of his new girlfriend. And it is stuff i do not want to read. Really not cool dad.
So. I lost the rest of my MP last night. And I actually slept (YES!). And then I woke up and everything has just stopped. No more contractions. A few BH every now and then, but other than that, nothing.
But I can rest, so that's good. In the meantime, I'm preparing like crazy. I called the doctor's office and it turns out my doctor isn't on call next week, but she's still in the office so I made an appointment on Wednesday. They don't think I'll make it to Wednesday (most likely this weekend) but baby girl is throwing everyone for a few loops.
I looked up my labs online and they are interesting. My urine test showed that I was borderline with protein. So when H goes to get some allergy meds today at the pharmacy, I'm going with him to see if they have a blood pressure cuff to check my BP just in case. I feel OK today, but I want to keep an eye on it because Wednesday seems like a long time to go between checks. My doctor is on call today, so I'm waiting to see if she calls me back (the nurse said she might). So we'll see.

Family photos done! And I think it went pretty good. Having the photographer come to us was definitely the best decision for us, as K could roam around and play and also be in pictures as she tolerated it. She said she will post a sneak peak in a few days but I won't have the full gallery for 3 weeks...I'm very impatient.
Other than that K seems to be really fussy, not sure if she's getting more teeth or what; but she also had 3 diarrhea poops this morning. Poor girl. Lots of snuggling in order for the rest of the day.

Well DS waited until 11pm last night to figure out the boob and proceeded to camp there until 2am before passing out finally.
Sleep wasn't great anyway for me because of his fast birth he's pretty mucousy from not being squeezed a lot in the birth canal so he coughs up a lot of phlegm which scares me awake to help him.
Now he's sleeping quietly and I have to be up with the girls while DH goes in to work to finish paperwork for parental leave. Hoping to get in a solid nap before the midwife comes to see us today.
I just got home from the OB and I am 1cm dilated. He told me that I can still go as soon as today or 2 weeks from now. I'm all good either way, I'm starting to get antsy though and apparently my subconscious is as well since I dreamt I was holding him at the hospital.
Feeling pretty crappy today so I plan on spending the afternoon on my couch. I think a lot has to do with taking an anti-nausea pill last night. I slept like a rock though until my kitten attacked my feet at 8 am.

I just got my first "are you still pregnant, do you think the baby will come soon" phone call. Oh boy!
Am I mean for not disclosing to my crazy grandma that I'm having contractions sometimes and am partially dilated? She specifically asked me if I was having contractions, and I'm like "oh, not really..."

Not mean I have straight up lied about it to people, because tbh it's not everyone's business. You don't have to share it with everyone who asks, even if they are related to you.

Online shopping question- Anyone own classic Toms shoes? The canvas kind. Trying to see if most ppl size down. I feel like I always end up with a crazy small size and they fit after they stretch, but I threw out my last pair that had a hole and don't want to go to a store to try on.
