I am unofficially responsible for answering the door/getting packages at my work because I sit closest to the door. A nice young man who sits near me has all of a sudden started offering to go get the door/sign for packages- I guess I look THAT pregnant now. I will take it!
I'm usually a pro sleeper, so hopefully I'll be able to get some good sleep in soon. I haven't had to get up in the middle of the night yet to pee or otherwise, but not being able to sleep for 1.5-2 hours each night blows.

I feel you, I'm a superstar sleeper usually. I have had to get up most nights to pee, which is a minor annoyance. But what's really annoying is the 3-5am inability to sleep for no reason. Luckily I can take naps.

I am ready to go home, I have to pack for my trip to NH. As of right now I plan on driving after work tomorrow but I have no idea how I will feel/sleep.
I think I'll go get my nails done after work tonight, I just don't know what color i'd like to do.

Today mine was 430-630am. Then I went back to sleep for an hour.

YES. I am definitely jealous of your sleep allowance, I wish I had the chance to nap! I'm pro at that, too. T_T

I'm going into my office and as a reward for leaving the couch and being responsible, I'm grabbing something for lunch on the way in...but I literally haven't left the house yet because I can't decide what to get.

Today I may have to go nap free...unless it's sleep on the floor if my office (not out of the question).

I am so ready to sleep through the night again. That happens, right? RIGHT?! HAHAHAHAAHAHAHHhhahahahaHhahahha *cries*
It may, it may not. Have you tried any sleep aids?
I will say that I sleep a whole lot better with a newborn than I did when I was pregnant.. I have really bad insomnia while pregnant due to the hormones so while I was up every 3-4 hours with a newborn, my sleep was deeper and more relaxing
Yes x a million. Any time I said I was tired while pregnant the response was "just wait until the baby is here". Well you know what? Even when baby woke up every 2-3 hours some nights that was better than being up every hour every night while pregnant.

As much as the sleep deprivation after DD was born sucked, it magically fixed my difficulty falling asleep. At 3 years old she's obviously not up much in the night anymore, but ever since she was born I've had no trouble falling asleep in 15 minutes or less, whereas before she was born I had never been able to fall asleep without laying in bed for around half an hour, sometimes more.
You will! Most likely. At about 14 weeks I stopped having to pee in the middle of the night. I know it will come back third tri, but for now I sleep all night. The Snoogle keeps me comfy.
*grumble grumble grumble* I've never slept through the night since being pregnant. Maybe it'll happen in 3rd tri....LOL

In college, I used to nap all the time, and wondered how I'd survive in the real world without the opportunity to take a nap. Over the last year or so, anytime I take a nap on the weekends, I find that it actually makes me more tired and I'd rather just get through the day and go to bed early.

When I was pregnant with DS1, by the time I hit 36 weeks, I was up at 2:30-3am every day because I just couldn't sleep anymore. I'd end up napping for about an hour after 9am (when I was on leave), then be up until 9p-ish. It was an unpleasant month

Exactly. I hate those just wait comments. It's like people forget what pregnancy sleep is like and assume we sleep all night. I haven't slept through the night all pregnancy. I'll gladly take the broken sleep of a newborn right now just to get a deep sleep

In general, I think comments that start with "just wait" are rude and unnecessary, full stop. Thank you for invalidating whatever it was I just said with your ability to predict the future, wizened acquaintance.

yup, and if they actually had any real advice there are much better ways of phrasing it

Pretty much. I got it this morning from DS's daycare teachers when I was obviously at my wits end this morning. We've already determined that he's a different toddler at home then at school. Must you rub it in and remind me that we're having a second who very well may be just as high maintenance and demanding as big brother?
Wearing legit maternity clothes for the first time. Bella band over my normal jeans because I'm extra bloated. Maternity shirt which makes me look obviously pregnant. I love it.
